It was very difficult to take my eyes off you as the video progressed. You express so very much with your face and eyes ... mimicking the singers in analysis. Thank goodness I was very familiar with this masterpiece so I could learn from you! Thank you for such a wonderful break down - truly amazing!
the world has barely heard of, if at all. If you want to react to a live show from Ayreon try Everybody dies from a live gig in the netherlands- lots of great Mike Mills vocals and the Ayreon's Angels- world class metal ladies as backing vocals!Best wishes, Rhodri.
I am overjoyed that you chose to tackle this monster of a song. It is Arjen’s best in my opinion. If you continue to go down the Ayreon rabbit hole, you will be equally delighted. Lovely to see you again Anna!
"I could listen to Arjen all day...." Well, you're lucky, for listening all albums of Ayreon will probably take a day... Watch the Ayreon Universe video's and meet the many who were not in this video. Listen to Damian Wilson in 'the druids turned to stone' (about Stonehenge), to Anneke van Giersbergen and Jonas Renkse in 'waking dreams', to Maggy Luijten in 'everybody dies' and 'star of Sirrah' (you will love her rasp), and to Marko Hietala in 'rivers of time' and 'magnetism' and 'age of shadows' (have you seen him wear a kilt before?).
Simone…”she has a beautiful voice” You have no idea. Her band is called Epica. She’s also really good friends with Floor. You should definitely react to: Epica - Sancta Terra ft.Floor (Live Retrospect Show)
Definitely Sancta Terra , yes. And if you want to hear Floor with another Dutch queen in an Ayreon production, try "Ayreon - Valley of the Queens", the one with Floor, Marcella and Anneke.
Best reaction I've seen to this 'blessing to our ears' as you put it, and there are some really good ones. Your genuine appeciation and insight for what the vocalists are doing in their work is so clear to understand, deepening my appreciation of them to another level. Pro taso.
Ohh you have no idea of what universe Arjen's musically world are. He has been working with over 100 of the top of the top of the singers and musicians in the world, during the years. His new album coming up around the new year, have a great lineup, from both Jansen sisters and the Steve Vai and guitar!! Arjen is a genuine genius on the same level as Tuomas from Nightwish.
Here is a list of the singers in order of appearance: Arjen Lucassen - Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/rock opera project Ayreon. James Labrie - Lead singer for Dream Theatre. Tommy Karevik - Lead singer of Kamelot. Tommy Rodgers - Lead singer of Between the Buried and Me. Simone Simmons - Lead singer of Epica. Nils K. Rue - Lead singer of Pagan's Mind and also worked with Eidolon. Tobias Sammet - Lead singer of Avantasia. Hansi Kürsch - Lead singer of Blind Guardian. Mike Mills - Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and main songwriter for Toehider. Russell Allen - Lead singer of Symphony X. Michael Eriksen - Lead singer of Circus Maximus. Floor Jansen - Lead singer of After Forever, ReVamp & now Nightwish.
20 minutes of watching you watch this video is not enough. ... so I watched it again. This song is so much fun. I'm glad you shared it with everyone. Thank you again, Anna, for reacting to this song.
Another wonderful evening with you - thank you Anna! Before I started watching, I already knew you'd be thrilled - I don't think there's anyone who truly loves and understands music who wouldn't be thrilled with this work of art. I noticed that someone criticized you for the breaks - please don't worry about such comments. Remember that 99.9% of your viewers - myself included - come to you precisely for those breaks and your comments. I want to hear what you say, how you say it, what you think and why. Very, very good job and nice time spent - greetings to you from Poland!
Happy to know you enjoyed yourself Marek! 😊 Yess, there will always be ppl who don't like the way I present my reaction videos. You can't please everyone. 😂 Thank you for your sweet message. Be well! xx
Moi moi Anna Vaskelainen, thanks for the great reaction! Kiitos. Welcome to the Ayreon Universe! For you, being a vocal coach, i would suggest to see/listen to the Ayreon song "And the Druids turned to stone " performed live by another great singer, Damian Wilson.. Arjen noticed that this is his favorite song. Hoping for a reaction on your YT channel. Greetings from the Dutch Ayreonauts, and the Nightwish Army of course! 🤘🇳🇱🤘
Dear Anna, Thank you for this review that really pleased my ears once again. The fact that you're doing the reaction in Finnish with ENG Subtitles adds an extra original tone, and this is awesome ! We can see your passion through each reaction and you became one of my favorite reactors along with The Charismatic Voice. You might know this already but I'll list you all the singers and their respective bands which are all worthy checking : James LaBrie (Dream Theater) Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, Seventh Wonder) Tommy Rogers (Between the Buried and Me) Simone Simons (Epica) Nils K. Rue (Pagan's Mind) Tobias Sammet (Edguy, Avantasia) Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian) Mike Mills (Toehider) Russell Allen (Symphony X) Michael Eriksen (Circus Maximus) Floor Jansen (Nightwish, ex-After Forever, ex-ReVamp) Now, on top of all the 3 suggestions I gave you back in my commentary for your video Time by Wintersun, I'd like to add a song from Between The Buried The Me, my all time favorite band. The song is called The Future is Behind Us from their last record "Colors II". That could be a good song to start with them. Keep doing your amazing work, much love from Japan. Kiitos, Merci !
This is such a joy to the ears. Not just the awesome Ayreon track, but also there's something very pleasing about the sound of you speaking Finnish, it's a really nice-sounding language.
Awesome reaction Anna! You need to watch and react to every song on the Ayreon Universe Live concert (all are worthy)... But, as everyone said, "Everybody Dies" is the next step!
Hoi Anna. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to catch the premiere of this. I was on my way back home after a short citytrip abroad (👀 messenger). I knew this would be something you’d appreciate. A fantastic song and composition, 11 different vocalists and some interesting background info, given with a keen sense of humour. Arjen is a true musical genius and a very nice guy on top of that. My favourite singers here are James LaBrie, Tommy Karevik and Michael Mills. And, of course, that wonderful voice at the end which sounded very familiar 🤣🤣🤣 Groetjes, M. 💜
I'm constantly more and more behind with my comments.. 🤣 Going to check your message after getting back to a few hundred UA-cam comment hahahh.. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, kind of knew it since you were one of the ppl recommending this to me. 😊 💜
I can never get enough of this song. Also, I love your reactions whatever you're reacting to. Your knowledge and the way you communicate that knowledge - regardless of the language - is quite effective, plus your expressions are interest in the song are always fun to watch. Take care!
Here is a list of the composer and singers in order of appearance: Arjen Lucassen - Composer - Dutch singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician and record producer best known for his long-running progressive metal/rock opera project Ayreon. James Labrie - Lead singer for Dream Theatre. Tommy Karevik - Lead singer of Kamelot and Seventh Wonder. Tommy Rodgers - Lead singer of Between the Buried and Me. Simone Simons - Lead singer of Epica. Nils K. Rue - Lead singer of Pagan's Mind and also worked with Eidolon. Tobias Sammet - Lead singer of Edguy & Avantasia. Hansi Kürsch - Lead singer of Blind Guardian and Demons & Wizards. Mike Mills - Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and main songwriter for Toehider. Russell Allen - Lead singer of Symphony X and Allen/Lande. Michael Eriksen - Lead singer of Circus Maximus. Floor Jansen - Lead singer of After Forever, ReVamp & now Nightwish. Instrumentalists Joost van den Broek (ex-After Forever) - grand piano and electric piano Maaike Peterse (Kingfisher Sky) - cello Ed Warby - drums Ben Mathot - violin Jeroen Goossens (ex-Pater Moeskroen) - flute, wind instruments Arjen Anthony Lucassen - electric and acoustic guitars, all other instruments (composer) Next I would suggest reacting to the performances at Ayreon Universe concert, especially the following Intergalactic Space Crusaders, River of Time, Merlin's Will, Valley of the Queens, Ride the Comet, Star of Sirrah, And the Druids Turn to Stone, Age of Shadows & Everybody Dies.
Very cool. It's not everyone that can make the viewer get so so interested not only as a viewer of the content, but a viewer of you as well. I think the combination of people appreciating what I love plus the more analytical breakdown and insight into the piece makes you interesting and valued. I don't care what county you're from... we're all people. Your views validate that. Wherever you are, know that there are so many over the world that appreciate you. Hopefully, one of 'our community' will buy you a beer. You're very deserving. Plus... isn't that a wonderful thing - sharing a beer with one another? Best of luck to all of us fun-loving metalheads.
Your insights and appreciation of the various vocalists were a joy to follow along with. Though appreciation is certainly made easy considering the incredible talents that Arjen collaborates with in his projects. As others have begun to suggest, it is well-worth checking out the live performances from the Ayreon Universe concert, such as 'Everybody Dies', 'Intergalactic Space Crusaders', and 'Valley of the Queens'. (You can find them all uploaded by a user named 'Ricamros', with English subtitles included.) Super appreciate that you include subtitles on your own videos too. Accessibility is always a major plus.
Jeez, I am so behind getting back to all the comments, sorry for taking so long to answer to you! 😂 Aaanyway, I'm happy to know you like this one. I'll be checking more of Arjen's work, for sure. Actually, already saw 'Valley of the Queens'. MAGICAL! Thank you for your comment "Tran Scripting ". Is there any other name I could call you? 😊
@@annavaskelainen You can check a previous rendition with Marcella Bovio as lead singer in "Stream of passion" and with a big sound too. Beautiful too.
Hello, dear Anna! You offered us a very interesting piece to listen to! Unusual, diverse. I don't speak English, so I can't assess the semantic load. But I am able to evaluate the emotional message, the idea. There are clear references to various cult musicians of the past: Mercury, ZZ Top, Iron Maiden, Pink Floyd...And your reaction, as always, is very lively, emotional and sincere. It's a pleasure to watch when the eyes sparkled, breathing quickened, a blush appeared on the cheeks. Thank you so much for the pleasure of watching your reaction. All the best!
Hi Anna, we talked in your review. I just want to ask you to put another song on your huge list. Blind Guardian's Nightfall, the live version from Wacken 2011. In 1988 I believe, Guardian released an album called Nightfall in Middle Earth. It is a classic, and it is entirely based on Tolkien's work, the Silmarillion. It tells the story of how all the troubles that almost destroyed Middle Earth began 3 ages before Bilbo found the One Ring. It is one of my all time favorite songs, and Hansi's voice is fantastic, as are Andre's lead guitar runs. Thanks Anna and xxxxoooxxx from your friend in Chicago. 😀
@@Bo0m3R57 what bugs me the most about Nightfall is whenever people react they allways go forthe 2 songs everyone suggests namely Time Stands Still and Mirror Mirror while allways skipping my 2 favorites from the album (along with the title track) ... namely The Eldar and Noldor
Hello Anna, listening now to this Ayreon song you are entering the futuristic world of the 6ft.8 master composer Arjen Anthony Lucassen. First as guitar player of the former rockband Vengeance and now as incredible project leader of the Ayreon and the Star One projects. A lot of wellknown musicians worked with him already like Kevin James Labrie from Dream Theater, Marko Hietala and Floor Jansen from Nightwish, etcetera. I would recommend listening to more of his project songs. Arjen is busy preparing the composition for a new Star One album. The first song, Lost Children of the Universe, already available on this channel.
Don't forget his other projects, especially Stream of Passion with Marcela Bovio, Gentle Storm or Ambeon :) And before Vengeance he played with Bodine 1980-84
You should check out more Ayreon, especially from the Ayreon Universe concert with 16 vocalists, including Michael, Floor, Hansi, Tommie and even Marko Hiettala 😉😂
Soon you may see a comment from Arjen Lucassen himself. The last few years, the pattern is he watches reactions like this and then comments. Keep up the good work and thank you for the CC subtitles in English.
Also a very nice song by the hand of Arjen is called "Everybody dies". If you like to hear it please go for the live version recorded in the Netherlands... and be surprised once again.. Very nice reaction to this song by the way...
I absolutely LOVE this song. A masterful casting job, wonderful musicians including the man himself, and the overall arrangement is fitting of a master composer such as he. Even his detail work including the Binary part performed by the story's AI, is wonderfully done and holds it's own mystery and tension when translated - roughly "Trust Me."
The last part of my reaction (in my mind): why am i so sad? oh yes, because it is already at the end You can say that is so long! i can answer: when a song is so incredibly incredible, it is short even it lasts for 6 hours... Anna, you give me a lot of fun with your expressions and your comments, i really like you reactions. Thank you
Always something to learn in your analyses no matter how short. Your facial reactions are also pleasant to watch as you discover the vocal and musical things happening in the song.
Its not just a story for one album , Arjen has created an entire universe with all albums interconecting. This album is the beginning of that story , but its not the first album . Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Arjen's musical creations are amazing. They usually involve science fiction concepts and many different vocalist playing roles in the story. Like rock operas or Broadway plays. So much fun. Check out their live performances from Ayreon "Universe". Maybe "Everybody Dies" or "Star of Sirrah" for more Mike Mills and Floor Jansen. Loved it Anna. Hope to see you again very soon.
Yay! Some amazing stuff, huh? You picked up on Nils's Dickinson vibe, too. Immediately following that with the Maiden-esque gallops ties the ribbon around that gift, to my ear. A metric ton of solid musical choices here. Arjen's greatest talent is music. Full stop. However, not far behind is his ability to put exactly the right person at the right place in every song. I would also suggest some of the live stuff as well.
That Bruce vibe was something I hadn't even thought, but it's sos obvious now. Younger, perhaps pre-cancer Bruce (as even though he still sounds amazing, it's slightly changed... very little though considering his age and that cancer).
I'm glad other people hear it too now hahah! I really enjoy Arjen's artistic choices overall. This is a great piece and I'll be definitely checking out more of his work.
The live chat ended before I could add that Tommy K is in two bands, Kamelot and Seventh Wonder. Both bands are great. "Under Grey Skies" with Kamelot (a ballad featuring Charlotte Wessels from the Netherlands) and "The Promise" with Seventh Wonder might be good for you. 😊 And that flip between chest voice and head voice is something he does often. 😁😉
Oh, and Tommy said that he has only had two formal vocal lessons in his life, and one of them was recently. Which makes his singing even more impressive.
First time I've ever watched any of your reactions Anna and I have to say that was really good. Your appreciation and enthusiasm is wonderful to see, coupled with your obvious technical knowledge and understanding and the ease with which you translate that into easy to understand terms, and all that whilst switching seamlessly between Finnish and pretty damn perfect English! Subscribed and am now off to watch some more of your reactions!!
Hi Richard, thank you for your comment! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed my content. 😊 Welcome to the gang- your support is MUCH appreciated! Hope to see you around here in the comment section in the future too! xx
Anna, I was watching some Ayreon videos and this popped up in the list of suggested videos to watch. Now, yes I already watched it at some point a while back, but I remembered how much you enjoyed it. So I decided to watch it again, besides I enjoy it also. Hope you're well. Mark
It warms my heart to know you enjoy my content enough to come back to the videos you've already seen! Thank you for your message and have a great week! ❤️🌷
Massive Epica fan here, so seeing, and hearing, Simone is always a good thing! Also, it's FREAKING HANSI, valhallaaaaaa Cheers from the Netherlands 🤘😎🤘
Ihanaa vihdoin kuulla suomalainen reaktio Arjeniin! Torilla tavataan! xD ... Tuota vikaa laulajaa vois kuunnella ilman ääntä mieluusti. xD Tahi katsella.
Tommy Karevik is now the frontman and lead vocalist of the band Kamelot. They are AMAZING either with him as the lead or their previous lead vocalist. Definitely worth a lot of listens! This entire thing was AWESOME! I have not heard any of the other songs from that album yet but I WANT that album so much! So of course this was a GREAT reaction video!
Thank you very much for the subtitles. This way i can properly enjoy the reaction :) P.S. you do realise that now you have to react to each and every individual with their respective bands right? It would trully be a shame not to
All 11 insanely talented singers in the order they appear in the video. James LaBrie from Dream Theater Tommy Karevik from Kamelot, Seventh Wonder Tommy Rogers from Between the Buried and Me Simone Simons from Epica Nils K. Rue from Pagan's Mind and Eidolon Tobias Sammet from Edguy and Avantasia Hansi Kürsch the „Bard from Walhalla“ from Blind Guardian Mike Mills playing a computer and singing binary from Toehider Russell Allen from Symphony X Michael Eriksen from Circus Maximus Last but not least the Queen of Metal, and the Valkyrie Goddess, Floor Jansen from Nightwish, RE-VAMP, and After Forever. Arjen Anthony Lucassen, (AYREON) is the Metal Beethoven. Tuomas Holopainen, (Nightwish) the Metal Mozart.
Oh those synthies are AWESOME. :D I am not a dream theater boy (although I enjoy them a lot when they are on a festival and blow everyone else off the stage) but I can help with those guitar thingies. The guituar is normally tuned in fourths (with the exception from G(3rd string) to H(B)(2nd string) there is only a major third). He refers to a tuning called Drop D where the only difference is that the 6th string (the big one) is tuned down from an E to a D. That gives you a chunkier pedaling root note and a bit easier access to powerchords / octaves, because you now have a D on the 6th as well as the 4th string. Also nice if you play something in D (minor, major, phrygian, whatever floats your boat). Lastly you can use your other five strings like playing guitar normally. It's one of the easier non-standard tunings, so it sees a lot of use in any guitar involved music.
You would certainly love to see and hear any song that has been performed live on either of the Ayreon live concerts, "Ayreon: Universe" and "Electric Castle Live and Other Tales". There you can watch Floor, Marko Hietala, Floor's sister Irene and dozens of the best singers and musicians on the planet do their thing.
@@annavaskelainen I'm already working on it. Today I looked up what "my cat" means in Finnish and my 11 week old kitten instantly responded with cuddling. As I didn't find a name yet, I guess I'll simply call her kissani. 😂
What a great reaction/review, also had a lot of laughs with the CCs (both Arjen's and yours ^^) The binary part blows my mind every time I watch it, Michael Mills is absolutely amazing! Maybe Arjen himself passes by and leaves a comment, he does that sometimes since he likes watching reaction vids Cheers!
@@annavaskelainen Anna - Arjen is being interviewed by Opera Singer/UA-cam reactor The Charismatic Voice on Friday afternoon (28th) - I think it may be around 17.30-ish Finnish Time.
I really enjoy your videos. I'm watching music reactions a lot less nowadays but I was so glad to find out that you've listened to this one. I've missed out on Ayreon... I discovered the music of Arjen Lucassen just a couple of years ago. Ayreon and also the new Nightwish album have been a real breath of fresh air for me. I mostly find "new" interesting music from the 1970s. In those times the music often had some really well done arrangements and great production. Sometimes there were some unique sounds and experiments and that interests me a lot. I really appreciate the creativity and the hard work done in the studios. I also hear that in Ayreon and Nightwish. What matters the most is the songwriting though. I think this is one of the best songs I've heard. Everyone also plays very well and it's a pure joy to listen to. Arjen definitely has a great ear and the singers were chosen very well for their parts. I really enjoy all the vocal performances! There's so many great details in a song like this... I needed to write at least something. Take care and I hope you're having a great weekend.
Thank you for your sweet message. 😊🙏 "Breath of fresh air"- that is really well said! 100% agreed on that one! I always enjoy reading your thoughtful comments, Vimana! Be well. xx
Yay, a Dream Theater fan! A Change of Seasons might be my favorite song of all time. Loving your reactions, even though I don't speak Finnish (truly appreciate the subs!). Kiitos :D
At 4,54 i love this reaction so much !!!!.. An now i can get your Finish in english text !!! Im so happy right now :))). At 19.40.. im so glad that you did this song !!!. tnx Anna :).
I don't speak Finnish (I really wish I could, but sadly not on my current list), but I love your reactions. But. This. This is a great reaction. Thank you!!
Hi Anna, very good reaction to this Masterpiece from Arjen. He is not only a big guy and a mastermind, he is also extremly ,kind and has a great sense of humor. There are a lot of things to discover in "his universe" including even more great musicians and singers. And some sisters...😁 If you have liked this, check out The Eye of Ra, and as a "must" for every vocal coach / reactor, Valley of the Queens, you wanot regrett it. For a superb example what Simone can do, check : Epica ( thats her Band ) Stabbat Mater and Sancta aTerra
with Arjen i keep getting the impression theres someone behind me going: 'Hey you remember this voice you grew up with? How about This one? Oh and Have this one on the house' As every Ayreon song just keeps blessing us with storytelling with all the characters we've already met and the ones yet to be introduced
I didn't know Finnish sounds so cute. Great reaction. Lots and lots more Aryreon out there, And as other reactors have already stated try some Epica too. You'll run in to Floor again.
Well, well. Now, another rabbit hole is opened for you to jump in. I recommend the whole Ayreon Universe Concert to react to. Most of the singers from this video, plus some very nice surprises, and very talented musicians participate. You could start with: Everybody dies!
Ayreon 🤩 "Everybody Dies" on aivan mahis biisi, varsinkin livenä juutuupissa 😁 ua-cam.com/video/9AAXtUdM7xE/v-deo.html Syväluotaus sulta ois toiveissa. Mutta jos et joua, nii kato vaikka privatisti.
Tämä on tosiaan todennäköisesti paras Ayreon live-video, joten jos yhtään kiinnostaa niin suosittelen. Michael Mills esittelee taitojaan erityisesti alkupuolella.
Love this breakdown of the song, thank you for your insights. (and yes as you said we all hate practicing) It is a gorgeous piece of music. Another vote for Epica - Sancta Terra with Floor
First album covering the Ayreon universe came in 1994 (iirc), and Ayreon is a blind minstrel in 6th century Britain, who through visions gets a message from scientists in the far future warning about humanity's decline. Ayreon - Prologue / Dreamtime (Universe) is a live version of the introduction to the story, although I prefer the original as I'm a huge fan of the album. Several albums cover different characters on this receiving end (one is in a coma!) and their support characters. Even Bruce Dickinson has been involved, as has many others. If you want to go deeper in this rabbit hole, it's a deep one. I suggest listening to the suggestions as they come along, as long as "The Eye Of Ra" is last, marks the end of the concert in a rather spectacular fashion - nøff said :D Then you can do the full concert in one seating at your own time. Nightwish was heavily inspired by Ayreon according to an inverview with Tuomas.
I love reaction videos as people that love music are exposed to my favourite songs for the first time. There's a pattern on this song though as Tommy, then Mike, then Russell, then finally Floor step it up a notch as the song develops.
Enjoy your comment! It is but the intro into that vast ocean of Arjen's composition. Following the timeline your next songs would be "Everybody dies" and "Star of Sirrah", both from live shows where the 4-octave Michael Mills appears again. Searching into Ayreon Universe will bring you to a compilation of live shows, where you must notice that all that work of Arjen is highly upper quality class.
I love Arjen's work, both in Ayreon and Star One. Star One's Revel in Time is a damned masterpiece, and on Ayreon's side, The Human Equation is my favorite. Definitely worth checking out. Love your vids and the way you pick the cherries from all the trees you visit. 😍🤘
James LaBrie - Dream Theater Tommy Karevik - Kamelot, Seventh Wonder Tommy Rogers - Between the Buried and Me Simone Simons - Epica Nils K. You pronounced his name correctly. Ayreon quickly became my third favorite band after Pink Floyd and Nightwish. Ayreon is one of the many great projects by Arjen: Star One, The gentle storm, Ambeon, Guilt machine, Stream of passion. Have a look at the two epic live concerts: Ayreon Universe live, with Floor Jansen, Marko Hietala, Michael Mills and many other well known musicians The electric castle live and other tales, with Simone Simons (Epica) and many other well known musicians. See Wikipedia for everything on Arjen Lucassen and projects

I love listening to your Finnish "rambling"
😂😂😂 good to know! xx
Awesome analysis! I thought I'd run out of intelligent reactors to listen to. But you notice so much and you express it so clearly.
Thank you very much for this sweet message. Really cheered up my day! xx
Dear Anna,
Thank you for this review that really pleased my ears once again. The fact that you're doing the reaction in Finnish with ENG Subtitles adds an extra original tone, and this is awesome ! We can see your passion through each reaction and you became one of my favorite reactors along with The Charismatic Voice.
You might know this already but I'll list you all the singers and their respective bands which are all worthy checking :
James LaBrie (Dream Theater)
Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, Seventh Wonder)
Tommy Rogers (Between the Buried and Me)
Simone Simons (Epica)

Hansi Kürsch (Blind Guardian)

Russell Allen (Symphony X)

Now, on top of all the 3 suggestions I gave you back in my commentary for your video Time by Wintersun, I'd like to add a song from Between The Buried The Me, my all time favorite band.
The song is called The Future is Behind Us from their last record "Colors II". That could be a good song to start with them.
Keep doing your amazing work, much love from Japan.
Kiitos, Merci !
I'm honored to be mentioned next to The Charismatic Voice! 😊🙏
Thank you for your message, I'll add your suggestions to my list. Be well! xx
That was a fantastic reaction Anna!
😊🙏
This is such a joy to the ears. Not just the awesome Ayreon track, but also there's something very pleasing about the sound of you speaking Finnish, it's a really nice-sounding language.
What a sweet comment. 😊 I'm happy to know you like my mother language so much! xx
Hello beautiful Anna!Great song. Bright voices!Amazing performance!Thank you, dear, great reaction!🌹👏🇷🇺
Going to check your message after getting back to a few hundred UA-cam comment hahahh..
I'm glad you enjoyed this one, kind of knew it since you were one of the ppl recommending this to me. 😊
💜
I can never get enough of this song. Also, I love your reactions whatever you're reacting to. Your knowledge and the way you communicate that knowledge - regardless of the language - is quite effective, plus your expressions are interest in the song are always fun to watch. Take care!

So many good songs from Arjen!
@@annavaskelainen Concure !!
😂 I'll share a beer with my follower for sure!
Thank you for your lovely comment. Really means a lot to me. ❤️
This is by far the best reaction video to this song on youtube...you nailed it in a very professional mode.
😍 THANK YOU SO MUCH
Your insights and appreciation of the various vocalists were a joy to follow along with.
(You can find them all uploaded by a user named 'Ricamros', with English subtitles included.)
Super appreciate that you include subtitles on your own videos too. Accessibility is always a major plus.
Jeez, I am so behind getting back to all the comments, sorry for taking so long to answer to you! 😂
Aaanyway, I'm happy to know you like this one.
Nice reaction, Anna. I always feel like I’m sitting here watching something for the first time (for the times it’s not the case). Love your work.
I'm happy to know you liked this one too! xx
Others have mentioned Everybody Dies from the Universe concert, but that whole concert was fantastic start to finish.
Anna, you are the best. I love your reaction of this piece of music ! thank you very much ... Wolfgang from germany
Hi Wolfgang! Thank you for your comment. 😊 Greetings to Germany! xx
Thank you for your insightful and respectful comment Aleksandr! 😊🙏 Be well! xx
*1998 😁👍...and I agree with your request
@@Bo0m3R57 what bugs me the most about Nightfall is whenever people react they allways go forthe 2 songs everyone suggests namely Time Stands Still and Mirror Mirror while allways skipping my 2 favorites from the album (along with the title track) ... namely The Eldar and Noldor
@@Bo0m3R57 Thank you for the correction, Marco. Proofreading my typing is a skill I obviously lack lol! :p
ALTER BRIDGE " words darker than their wings" live at the royal albert hall! AMAZING SONG ... Anna Vaskelainen

Nice reaction. Everything by Ayreon is amazing. Love the way you switch between Finnish and English btw. It's cool.
Always great the someone discovers Ayreon, Arjen really knows how to make some great music with power and some f-ing great singers!
Glad to know you enjoy my content!
I'd be honored to receive a comment from Arjen himself! xx
Also a very nice song by the hand of Arjen is called "Everybody dies". If you like to hear it please go for the live version recorded in the Netherlands... and be surprised once again.. Very nice reaction to this song by the way...
This was so fun to watch....Great music...great reaction. Thank you. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.❤
The last part of my reaction (in my mind):
why am i so sad? oh yes, because it is already at the end
You can say that is so long! i can answer: when a song is so incredibly incredible, it is short even it lasts for 6 hours...
Anna, you give me a lot of fun with your expressions and your comments, i really like you reactions.
Thank you
Thank you for your sweet comment, Andrea! 😊
Always something to learn in your analyses no matter how short.
Your facial reactions are also pleasant to watch as you discover the vocal and musical things happening in the song.
I'm always happy to see your message, Olatunde! 😊 Glad to know you liked this one too! xx
Hope to see you again very soon.
amazing reaction Anna!
thx Mitchell! xx
Floor and her sister Irene are both featured in Arjen's upcoming creation.
This is a great piece and I'll be definitely checking out more of his work.
that was an highly enjoyable high-quality-reaction/analysis of this awesome piece. thank you anna. maybe arjen drops by, he sometimes does that.
thank you very much! 😊 I'd be honored to see Arjen's message some day! xx
I love watching this video and I love watching you and your reactions and insightful comments. Thank You Anna!
Thank YOU Spencer for this sweet comment and your support! ❤️

All 11 insanely talented singers in the order they appear in the video.
James LaBrie from Dream Theater
Tommy Karevik from Kamelot, Seventh Wonder
Tommy Rogers from Between the Buried and Me
Simone Simons from Epica
Nils K. Rue from Pagan's Mind and Eidolon
Tobias Sammet from Edguy and Avantasia
Hansi Kürsch the „Bard from Walhalla“ from Blind Guardian
Mike Mills playing a computer and singing binary from Toehider
Russell Allen from Symphony X
Michael Eriksen from Circus Maximus
Last but not least the Queen of Metal, and the Valkyrie Goddess, Floor Jansen from Nightwish, RE-VAMP, and After Forever.
Arjen Anthony Lucassen, (AYREON) is the Metal Beethoven. Tuomas Holopainen, (Nightwish) the Metal Mozart.
"He must be American!" Yes, this is Russell Allen, the amazing singer of prog metal band Symphony X.
Anna, you do things to me too 😁 loved the reaction!
😂🙏🙏
Oh those synthies are AWESOME. :D
I am not a dream theater boy (although I enjoy them a lot when they are on a festival and blow everyone else off the stage) but I can help with those guitar thingies.
World neeeds more synths! Guitar thingies were awesome too!
I do know what a"drop D" means. 😉
@@annavaskelainen Mea culpa ;)
Blasphemic as it may sound I mostly thought about the audience in writing this.
I'll make sure to see some more of Arjen's work!

What a great reaction/review, also had a lot of laughs with the CCs (both Arjen's and yours ^^)

Another vote for Epica - Sancta Terra with Floor
I'm glad you liked this one! 😊 I'll put your vote for Epica ft Floor. xx
Kiitos Anna!
Terve Anna. I had to see this one :) It is 05:28 in the morning (06:28 for you) but still Anna reacting to Ayreon is a must-see
Moi Chris! awwwww that is way too early hahah 😂 hope you liked this one! xx
