Be careful when playing the Big Rigs truck, though. If you trying going in reverse for the speed boosts too much, it'll go so fast that it'll launch itself off-screen.

cheetahmen 3 was originally going to be a title for the 'action gamemaster', a system that would play games from pretty much every console at the time.
today there's plans for a cheetahman 3 for xbox live arcade or something, but it looks like it's been in development for quite some time.
I actually met one of the designers on the Action 52 games. Mario was his name. I lived in Miami and this studio was based in Miami. He literally did not want to talk about the game. Other than they were all amateur programmers and didn't know what the fuck they were doing. It was their one and only game. I met him at a crappy meetup game developers indie group in south FL.

How can three college students create 52 broken down contraptions of "games" in three months yet the guy who made E.T managed to make ONE game that was at least presentable in only six weeks?!
Making 52 games in 3 months is absolutely nothing. 1 game in 6 weeks is essentially a month and a half spent on one game.
If we calculate this, this means they had to make 13 games a month. That's almost 2 games a week they had to program. And doing all the coding, sprite work, music composition, ideation, and fucktons of other shit in that time frame is ridiculous.

The weird thing is that if you look at the three bosses in Cheetahmen II, they appear in the opposite order to what you'd expect. You fight Doctor Morbis himself in Level 2, the Ape-Man in Level 4, and (if you use the glitch to skip past Level 4 and get to the final two levels) you fight Cygore (Morbis's henchman, the smiling man with the robot arm in the intro) as the final boss.
Personally, I’d expect to fight Ape-Man last.

I remember the cheetahmen being mentioned briefly in an article about “Unknown gaming franchises” (or something like that) in a local gaming magazine back in the early / mid 90s here in Denmark.
The only reason I remember them was because they used the cheetahmen cover art on the header of the article.
I think that was the only time I ever saw any mentioning of them, I don’t even think “Action 52” was mentioned in the article. I don’t even remember seeing “Action 52” in the video game stores.

Honestly, I think the developers should've skipped out on the whole "52 games" deal and made Cheetahmen as a standalone game instead. Quality over quantity.

If they'd spent a second to just think about the long term gains, they would have earned a hell of a lot more if they just focused on the one game.
Wait until James finds out there is a third Cheetahmen game. However it's only on the Active Gamemaster which was made by the company who developed Action 52 and the Cheetahmen games.
