I notice this vid was using a previous version of OBS Studio (probably what was out at the time). The reason I bring that up is - I do not have an audio interface (not one I'm using anyway) and I can select my DJ controller line audio as the audio everyone would hear. So, not sure if that was one of the changes between OBS 24.03 and OBS 26.01, but if you don't have an audio interface, yo probably don't need to go out and buy one if your controller or mixer can connect to your computer via USB.
I tried using the latest version of OBS Studio with my Xone 43:C mixer but still it’s not quite right with the audio. It’s a actually driving me mad! Any suggestions??

Hey, man! Thanks for your tutorial but can you explain is there any opportunity to route audio output from computer to OBS' audio input? Or how is it possible to broadcast both video and sound from Traktor?
You can do some routing audio stuff with Voice Meter Banana. I dunno if you can do the routing that you are speaking of though. I dunno much about video in Traktor. I know Serato has Serato Video and Mix Emergency. I dunno if they are supported by Traktor though?
can u give me more detail regarding streaming with DJM-S9 with USB-A out for second computer as streaming computer, i still have problem with those configuration. On second computer i can not grab mix out from first computer.
Yeah this was hard for me to get to work too. I think its if your plugging into a windows PC you have to do some extra routing. You can use something called Voice Meter Banana to get it to work. I started looking into it but didn't quite get it working yet. www.vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/banana.htm
@@sihargreaves i already solved the problem though. In second windows pc we must install obs asio plugin github.com/Andersama/obs-asio, the plugin will read usb 5/6 as MIX-(REC OUT) in second computer.

This is the million-dollar question! Trust me I have been trying forever to get my Sx3 audio signal to go back into the same laptop but I can't figure it out. You can use the Irig2 but let me tell you the audio quality sucks
I use 4k Video downloader to rip some things off UA-cam. As I'm just using it in streams I don't feel too guilty about getting caught using copyrighted material. Check out Beeple, he gives out lots of free stuff.

I put saffire in obs but nothing happens... If you can to help I really appreciate it, sorry for my English no is good haha Thank you, and Thanks for your videos!
Ableton doesn't work in OBS. It's something to do with the routing. If your saffire has a loopback function you can set that up to make it work. Or download Voice Banana and use some virtual audio cables to do it.

@@sihargreaves Yep, my stats screen sometimes shows skipped frames due to encoding lag and sometimes it gives no indication. But either way there are audio drop outs in the stream whenever i play my stream back.

Heh, I'm trying to remember what I put in that video now. It was a few weeks ago now. I think channels 5 and 6 are the default channels that Serato mixers like you to output in? I can't remember talking about it tbh. Have you checked your OBS settings? I'm assuming it's either a setting in OBS or Twitch which is making stuff mono. I've been streaming to Mixcloud Live, not Twitch recently. Check out me and my buddies. My mixes are the "drum Speak" ones: www.mixcloud.com/DropBeats/ Send me your Twitch though and I'll give you a follow

Budget wise I'm hoping that I don't have to buy another PC, lol....Oh and I do have a Laptop that's not being used ( which I plan on using as apart of my DJ setup as soon as I clean it)....Thanks in advance!
To use an action cam as webcam, just need an USB CABLE (Data transfer not a Power one,usb power cables have a lightning ,USB Data Cables have the USB connection logo)!
Oh really? Nice
Good vid
Thanks!
is your pc custom built?
Si hello to you, hope you and your family are safe and well during this difficult time.
So I have the following
Ddj SX 3 going to windows 10 laptop.
I have a signal out going to irig 2
The plug on android phone
How do I get audio to play on the OBS software on laptop ?
IP camera working from phone to laptop
But I cannot seem to get a sound signal ?
I look forward to hearing from t
Kindest regards
Lyndon B
If you go to settings- audio can you see the irig 2? Then just take a cable from your DDJ sx3 into the iRig, no?
This is the million-dollar question! Trust me I have been trying forever to get my Sx3 audio signal to go back into the same laptop but I can't figure it out. You can use the Irig2 but let me tell you the audio quality sucks
Thanks!
No problem!
hi. where does the irig2 get added on the settings?
also do i need to change any audio settings on my Mac do internal mic doesn't start recording/
You should be able to see your Irig in Settings - audio. I don't see why you'd need to change any settings on your Mac. You don't on Windows any way.
What vids do u have running in the background or where’s good to get some
I use 4k Video downloader to rip some things off UA-cam. As I'm just using it in streams I don't feel too guilty about getting caught using copyrighted material. Check out Beeple, he gives out lots of free stuff.
@@sihargreaves thanks will give that a look
Can you help me? I have problem with my saffire... I don't know why my obs no capture audio... In my Ableton all OK when I add a external instrument. But in obs I can not to do it.
Just wondering can't you use the S9 on its own instead of running through an interface or will it not pick up as a source in OBS?
Bruh that should work in theory. It's not as easy as you'd expect though I'm afraid. I'm sure you can get that to happen but I gave up
@@sihargreaves I literally just plugged it in this afternoon and it worked. Checked my settings and USB 5/6 is set to Mix (Rec Out), S9 appears in devices in OBS just selected it and sound is outputting on the meter haven't done an actual test yet tho!
PS I have heard this isnt as easy on windows, Im using a Macbook
hey, I got traktor audio 6 external interface with 2 technics using final scratch. Unfortunately OBS get some static sound from the end of the needle. I set the NI TRAKTOR as should be so when I record my mix within the traktor I don't have this static noise. In the OBS I still hear that static sound. I tried almost everything but I'm stucked. Can someone help me with this ?
Dunno mate, get a new needle?
When I click on settings, video and channels none of what your seeing is on my page to edit e.g low latency section
Hmm, have you opened up the advanced settings tab? Also which GFX card you have selected can change which settings are available etc
I’m
Not getting any sound when I plug in my s9. Running windows 10. I down loaded the drivers for my s9 as well
It's a pain in the ass to get it working in Windows. I've had a number of different goes at working it out but haven't managed it yet.
Some good tips there I wasn't aware of, thanks for this! 🙏🏻
Quick question.. My OBS recordings are always poor quality, even when the live stream quality is fine. It's like the sound when levels are too high and clipping the red. I've tried adjusting levels on my hardware as well as the levels on OBS, but the recording sound never changes.
Any ideas??
Hmm, that's really weird. So it's not clipping when you're streaming but it is in your recording?
Look up the limiter and compressor settings
Ok so I'm 2 minutes in and need 2 computers, an audio interface, multiple high quality cameras, a capture card, and a mortgage to get it all .. cheers
He said optional
Cheers Man Thanks!!! Weak soul, lol, BS lol :P (really appreciate the vid)
Any time! Thanks for watching :)
Do you you have any other ideas for the audio dropping out?
What you mean Dropping out? On the stream?
@@sihargreaves Yep, my stats screen sometimes shows skipped frames due to encoding lag and sometimes it gives no indication. But either way there are audio drop outs in the stream whenever i play my stream back.
i dont understand how this works cabling wise i see everyone using an irig stream but its sold out everywhere do i rlly need one??
What computer are you using and what mixer have you got? It all depends on a number of different things
subbed to you to show support mate! thank you, did not know about yellowduck before this. thank you! more power to your channel!
btw, have you gotten to stream in stereo? and why stream using audio channels 5 and 6? my audio is set to 192kbps and in stereo but on twitch it still is in mono.
if you are on twitch let me know so i can follow, let's help each other out!
My mixes are the "drum Speak" ones: www.mixcloud.com/DropBeats/
Send me your Twitch though and I'll give you a follow
@@sihargreaves twitch.tv/djdls will check out your mixcloud, im on that too. but did not avail of the 90-day free trial for live video sessions. it's already a pain to pull in viewers from fb to ttv lol
How do I get this video without the sleepy music in the background?
I live on a busy street so it's actually pretty necessary for me to use music in the background. I do appreciate the feedback, but I don't think it'll be something I change on this occasion.
My audio gives me a nasty buzz . Can anyone help ?
Obs has a asio plugin.😁
Yeah I heard about this afterward I made this! Always the way haha
Same as fella.🤣
Yeah my Mac air with 4 gigs of ram isn’t going to cut it... lol
This all sounds so complicated 😭 can I just fly you to California so you can set it up for me?? Thanks lol
Free trip to California? Oh go on then! ha
You forgot OBS-ASIO plugin
Oh sick, that would help with getting the audio from the DJM to OBS? I got a thing called ASIO link for when I want to record Ableton, but not sure why I'd need it for this set up?
Si Hargreaves with this you can take any ASIO input from your sound card e.g from DJM. For ableton you have use a different solution to loop back the audio
Ah cheers dude ill give it a go and see if I can get it working. May be I'll do a follow up vid! That's for the heads up
If anyone can figure out how to get the Sx3 audio to work on one computer into OBS I will personally send you money on VENMO
Heh you and everyone else. I'm pretty sure you CAN do it with something like VoiceBanana. Isn't that straight forwards though (at least for me).
Mustard...!
Lol, not sure what you're referring to with this one??!?
It's a colloquial, I was saying it was great to watch...
OMG
Ha what's up?
How to fix your hair with obs.
Heh, wish it could have done that during lockdown!
