I use the rock the M12 Inflator.... great for small tires... but this M18 is my daily go to... and is 5 times greater than the M12 units... no problems with this unit!
@cliffordmontana4562 Yeah.. the M12 Inflator was great for the first week.... and was wishing Milwaukee make one in M18... 2 years later, I was introduced to the M18 and haven't looked back. As a matter of fact.. when someone needs a portable inflator.. I loan them the M12.. 🤣
Bought this for my work truck that always gets nails or screws around job sites. Love it. Keep a plug kit and this pump with me. Can get a puncture fixed and inflated in 5 minutes. Ive had multiple people come up to me in parking lots using it and be like " wtf milwaukee makes one of these, now i have to go spend more money"
I’ve been using this to inflate the tires on our ic250 since January and it doesn’t skip a beat. The tires on the ic250 are 16 ply 385/65d22.5 and run at 120psi. It takes a full 8ah battery to take it from 20psi to 120psi
I bought this inflator about a month after its release and I am very pleased with its performance! My only complaint is that screw on valve. I ended up ordering a quick connect on Amazon for it!
I have one of these in each of my vehicles. Funny rhing is that it gets used alot because I am always on the lookout for ANY flat tire, manu strangers jave benefitted from this.
This inflator is great. Have presets set for my lawn mower, car and truck. So easy to pick a preset and inflate a tire, especially on the mower since I am too lazy to add tubes or slime the tires. I also have the M12 inflator, It now only goes in the car or truck for long trips.
Yes, the presets are nice to have. I totally understand on the mower tires. Part of the mowing routine for our Exmark ZT is to fill the front tires up and check the oil. lol. Thanks for watching and sharing.
Last year over the holidays I got this exact model for 180 dollars, including 2 batteries and a charger. Only miluwakee m18 I own, one battery has been in the inflator since I got it, it's finally down to 2 bars. The other is un used on a shelf. Normally I like to keep it to ryobi, but this thing is so monstrous in comparison to every other battery inflator, there's no debate.
I got this inflator as "just in case". Shoot- I use the ever-loving snot out of this thing. I look for reasons to use it. This inflator, a plug kit, and my 3/8 stubby have turned me into a volunteer one man roadside rescue team LOL. I even used it at work to blow out clogged drain lines on an industrial ice machine. I carry this thing everywhere I go.
I carry this where ever i travel long D love this unit so much, i got the adapter for quick release Jaco Lightening S2 and 1/4” NPT Tank Valve adapter awesome combo
I have the ryobi and it works ok but it is no good to pump a flat tire especially if you're in a rush. My father inlaws truck tire was flat and I needed to use it quick. I pumped it to where I could go slow to the gas station for air. The ryobi is only good for topping off. I think it has the same pump in it that the smaller version has just in a bigger casing. You can hear the Milwaukee has a beast of a motor
Milwaukee came out with a new M18 inflator? A year ago? What the heck? I follow nearly all the tool test channels and I’m always window shopping on Milwaukee’s website and this is the first I’ve heard of it. This must’ve been the most stealthy M18 launch ever! Edit: TJ! You messed me up! I thought this was a new one since you said only a year ago, but it’s not. It’s been out for over 2 years now. All good though, still great video, just sent me on a wild goose chase.
People are saying this thing isn't accurate. I truly dont think it matters. This isn't a tool for a shop. It's made to inflate your tires. If you need high accuracy to inflate tires, then obviously, you find anything to complain about.
Home Depot has this available as a free tool if you buy $199 M18 Starter Kit (2-5.0Ah batteries and charger). If you hack it and return batteries and charger, you can get the inflator for $95. But it’s a great deal on its own.❤
@@DjMarco71 Search M18 Starter Kit… below the price, there will be a free tool “box”, click and pick your tool. Add to cart and you will see the individual price of starter kit and inflator. Buy it and return the batteries if you so desire. The receipt will show the maximum refund amount for each item. This is totally aboveboard. I have done this probably 75 times over the years. Never had a problem. When I return I simply say I don’t want the item any longer. Or I don’t need it. Hope this helps.
I inflate my 35 inch tires on my Power Wagon from 35 psi to 55 psi in 3 minutes and 20 seconds. I use it after airing down and will air up all 4 ties with a 8.0 battery.
I love mine, but I do have one small problem. It doesn't work well with aluminum valve stems. The pressure builds too quickly and the inflator thinks that it's over pressure. This results in the inflator cutting on/off for several cycles and taking much longer than on tires with standard valve stems.
I’m a bargain hunter Got this on a deal. Over half off. Not worth what they ask full price But if you are on the M18 platform then it’s worth it on sale I work on RVs and have used it on 120 psi tires. Set it. Move on. Awesome for towing I like it But would only by on sale
4:24 That's False. Milwaukee largest M18 battery is the HD12.0 High Output. The M18 HD12.0 Forged got shorter on length for whatever reason, but I didn't liked it myself.
Milwaukee is by far the most powerful but they achieved it by removing heat and watt overloading protection on there tools that how they achieve the extra power. This leads to controllers, motor, armature and switches failing because of the overloading. Milwaukee tools when they go down are really worth fixing because you have to replace all the above so be warned that extra power comes at a cause in most cases if your out of warranty your screwed.
The DeWalt inflator is much better for larger tires. I use the M12 for smaller motorcycle/scooter tires and occasional car tire. The M18 is garbage. The pressure sensor doesn't work correctly. I had one warrantied and the brand new 2024 one did the exact same thing.
@@cliffordmontana4562 It depends on what you use it for. I've owned this M18 and sold it for $10 less than I paid for it 3 years later. I prefer the M12 for motorcycle tires. If you're inflating huge truck tires all day every day, then yeah, this M18 is a must. If you're just inflating NORMAL car tires OCCASIONALLY, the DeWalt is more than sufficient and way smaller.
The Ridgid is $49 now at Home Depot. At that price I am putting it in all my cars, what I like is the 12 v car plug in that comes with it, so no battery needed.
A year? It's been out for 2.5, possibly 3 years. Got mine in May of 2022, but I sold it. It wasn't accurate. I preferred waiting longer for the M12 version to do its thing. It's not like I was inflating my tires daily so a slightly longer wait was fine if it was accurate.
"auto fill technology", it's just pressure sensing after the seconds done hitting the specified target. Simply an if this than that - mathematical operation done with ~3 mins of programming & 5-10$ components.. Had mine since forever it feels it's great... However when overutilizing such terms it does give the impression of lesser credibility of said reviews. TTC with the new M12 stubby pretty much nailed this sort of sentiment of either a layman or spokesperson (sponsored yes man) vs. The concrete unbiased reviewer. Very nice, albeit use it in a hit environment & it will get hot. You can't fight physics, except for an extra Benjamin in the pocket. Idk
Guys if you're not already heavily invested in Milwaukee, you should consider other brands. I've been using Milwaukee since 2012, and I've had so many electronics failures with their tools, it's completely unforgivable. I never break tools, ever. But my Milwaukee M18 power tools fail by just sitting on the shelf! Their electronics are not potted with epoxy and they fail from dust and moisture. I think they are probably one of the most unreliable tools. I have always been loyal to M18, until I tried to making a negative review about one of their saws, and UA-cam blocked the video in the algorithm after it hit 1,000 views. UA-cam is apparently in collusion with Milwaukee Power Tools, to block negative reviews of their tools.
I dont know, man. Ive been using Milwaukee tools professionally on jobsites for that same amount of time, and Milwaukee never fails to impress. The only tools ive seen fail are maybe just a couple of drills that have had MILES on them and have probably been dropped hundreds of times. They were likely not the brushless variety, either. Everything i have at home is Milwaukee, even my toolboxes, lol. Never any issues.
No offense like the videos, but I don’t think anybody really cares about all the features that it has we just wanna know if it’s able to blow up a diesel tire when it’s flat on the side of the road on a 285- 55-20 that’s what us are looking for besides me carrying around a massive air compressor
@@Yielar1 yes I agree. Features are nice, but I just wanted to know if it actually blow up a truck tire can I get it? You could only make the video so long lol it was a good video. I appreciate it.
I use this inflator daily on the road to fill car, pickup, rv tires as a tow truck driver. One the most underrated tools from Milwaukee imo.
I'm happy you said that you were late to reviewing it cuz I was about to lose my crap when I realized they made a new one after I just bought one.
