@Am2Mad you just start the rotation like a normal sparrow fly so it’s upside down, then it the same dodge button again so it keeps it upside down, then you gotta wellskate super fast
many as myself included appreciate one of the few instructions about slipstreaming out there... but!... you left out fundamental issues. like, when do you actually press boost? how long do you press S. if you really go until 60 degrees angle step by step as you explained it, before rotating, you will loose height and speed too fast as if you can keep up. its really very short you actually lift your nose up. the earlier you can boost the first time correctly, the more likely you can not loose height. The first practice while standing i find good but misleading at the same time. it´s ok to get the feel when to press boost ideally. but in a slipstream, where you have an additional rotation it messes it up a bit. and if you can elevate from standing with boosts, all good and right, but slipstream again, is a bit different. I found it harder to practice while standing, and then try to adapt it to slipstreaming. its another thing again. only it helped me to figure not to keep spressing shift and release it. but besides that it didnt help me thaaat much. same for my D2-bestie. + you did not actually explain how to make the slipstream infinite. what do you do when you need to refill charge before you can boost again? you just keep pressing rotatio and S as used to before? because if so, i tend to start spinning way too fast until i can boost again and mess it up.... also, you have an ideal rythm of steps and a short tolerance of mistakes. how long you can maximally turn a backflip, and how much you need to do for example. many make the first mistakes in pressing things too fast and not focus much on rotations. so many things that went missing. and at the end, you made it once properly. and explained it with tons of more mistakes, than focusing on getting the slipstream consistently. plus, as said, even after your boosts run out and you need to let 2 rotations happen without boosting. because if so, i boost once, don´t gain that much height and need to wait until boosts refill = dead. So i do appreciate your tutorial. i did take quite some time to practice it and more than a half year off the game until now. But i gotta say, if you do it, do it properly. especially those crucial parts you just have to replay 100s of times and explanations not rly accurate.
Thank you. I was able to learn the basics of sparrow flying in about 5 minutes. Also I've discovered that you only really have to use shift on the start of your rotation. When you start rotating you can just hold the direction key to keep spinning. It might be helpful for anyone if they have trouble with the shift timing.
I made it from the red roof to the spawn and even into the next load zone behind thanks to you... This a great Video. Thank you so much ❤ I would love to see more contend around sparrow techs, such as vertical slipstream and so on...
thanks to your tutorial im actually able to slipstream from that really high area to near the launcher which you sparrow fly off from. i managed to do this in about an hour without the always on time sparrow which is really a testament to your tutorial.
Man sparrow flying just isn't what it used to be. Destiny's sparrow flying was so fluid, so fun, and wasn't just one set of boosts before requiring you to get off your sparrow. I specifically remember sparrow flying from the bottom of the Vault of Glass to the entrance and consistently sparrow flying over the Hellmouth on the moon. Those times are what kept me addicted to the game, learning such an advanced mechanic and how to truly master it was tons of fun! So sad that we're only left with this husk of its former self...
@@corno7155 search up Destiny 1 sparrow flying to see what I'm talking about. You could sparrow fly infinitely straight up regardless of class, you could sparrow fly much larger distances, it was probably one of the most fun mechanics in the game.

Guys. Use your top and bottom mouse buttons for the vehicle dodge keybinds and its 100% easier than q and e. For me it helped a lot for fatfingering the keyboard. Hope this helps.
While it doesn’t really matter whether you idle in the air or not after a set of dodges, I recommend you still keep your rotation going after you’ve dodged and not to idle.
Had two guys helping named Yeet and Pajama, and if your here, Thank You. Although I can only sparrow fly counterclockwise on Day 1, my goal is to do it clockwise on Day 2.
Any tips for a controller user? I'm finding it really hard to keep the rotation of the sparrow consistent. Maybe its just me not having enough time practicing with it yet, but it looks far easier to control on M&K
I don't know what it is, but flipping one direction and remembering that i need to hit the opposite side's boost is like patting my head and rubbing my belly, its a skill issue for me XD

Let me know if you guys want to see some more sparrow techs!
Thanks for the slip video, really helps get the timing and tech down 👌

@LusciniusCorvax everyone I've heard from Saif this is a great guide.
I think it's time to consider the other possibility: you are bad.
any sparrow with the "vernier thrusters" perk will also have 6 dodges if you don't want to buy or use always on time
Which ones have this?
@@provaricus627 Any exotic sparrow from Forsaken up to now can get it as a random perk. Always On Time has a version of it built in
Aot has less enemy agro tho
@@JamisonEdits the wording of the perk isn't actually correct. Enemy agro is the same, but it has double the health of other sparrows

It’s definitely easier on controller I use both inputs
For slipstream I put my LMB to dodge left, so i dont get confused
The best slip guide of all time
Love this vids! Just what I needed
"too far to the left, too far to the right" brother im going BACKWARDS
when should you or can you boost, or does it not really matter?
Would only boost for the first set of inputs for slip. Then never again
your holding your boost in this video did you say to do that?
Absolutely bonkers
think its just never gonna happen for me, tried off and on for a few seasons and still cant slipstream rip lmao

how do u put dual keybinds ?
It was extremely useful to have the button inputs with the video. Thx
Not me watching this knowing i have severe stick drift 💀
5:46 I thought that was your sparrow falling on the left lol
Is slipstreaming becoming mainstream?
single bind just better
How hard is this to do on a controller? is it worth trying?
Video doesn't really help me I'm on a controller and still can't figure it out
I feel like I just don’t have enough time to do all the inputs at different times
anyone know why im not getting any height when im sparrow flying?
thx at 11:40
how to turn on the sparrow?
SUPER EASY TO DO.... should be able to do it in 10 to 30 minutes... me 5 hours later.. "gaurdian down"
It’s hard for me to justify a sparrow vs red borders
1000% worth it. I felt the same way. but its beyond worth it.
the 4 hold S is a little bit unclear for me
am i the only one that finds the vertical fly much harder than slip streaming?

im scared for a 10/10
A 10/10 would be going from the red box to the Cistern spawn.
is sparrow the only one we can do slipstream ?
But im on consle
I feel like I lost progress, I just stop moving completely and lose higher.
Controller?
pov im just better
this is so much harder than you think
This is so hard on console 😢
They must have patched this out, because after I run out of boost it just kicks me off my sparrow. I can gently float though, so there's that.
It’s not patched nor will there ever be a patch because this isn’t a glitch, it’s a mechanic.
