Harddefense is really cool. I made a custom Rush Duel format with friends based around creating customs of Master format cards to be reinterpreted with Rush design philosophy, and we retrained Mirror Force to be Harddefense for 2600+ attackers. The whole format revolves around whether or not its worth it to boost past the golden standard 2500 stat, and when the Limited copy of it is used/milled, go crazy. Harddefense, being 100 atk less than that, would change how Rush Links is played entirely. I think debuff skills would, funny enough, be even more stronger than they are now. Also, a cool thing about Torero’s application is not only could it help take out aces like you mentioned, but was a very strong choice against Barrier Statue. I remember Aura from the Rush anime Entamesubs team teching it in for their Secret Investigators deck in a tournament and doing well with it bc the deck would mill early and get a way to out the Statue going second
Ah, Staples in Rush Duels. Some love them and some hate them (especially if your mediocre Deck can't beat Meta Decks: things as they are) - Rising Light Angel Essel is the first case where a Monster that was not a Staple became a full-fledged Staple in another format (in this case, Rush's Duel Links). Although well, I don't know if that is also a sign that Konami has refused to give us the good Early Rush Duels cards. - Legend Magician and Legend Strike were also the reason why it was again preferred to carry Legend Normal Monsters (which had been largely forgotten) in various Decks. It is also believed that Legend Strike is the reason why we have the OG Magnet Warrior and Elemental HEROs as Normal Monsters without Legend status. But well, Legend Magician will return with force since it has been confirmed that he will receive a Deck of her own. - Barrier Statue of the Inferno and Mad Rare Aquila, ironically, had the role of weakening Excutie Deck until Excutie Decks themselves started using those cards as well. Barrier Statue of the Inferno was also seen as a controversial ban since Fusion Summon was out of control at the time and Barrier Statue was the only viable way to control those Fusion Decks (Decks that didn't have Fusion were at a huge disadvantage) - Ship of Seven Treasures only became stronger with the arrival of the Deity of Seven Treasures Monsters: which functioned as alternative Boss Monsters that you could carry if your Deck used Ship of Seven Treasures. Many believe that Ship of Seven Treasures will be limited at some point due to this interaction. - Grand Extreme was the reason why Sea Serpent Maximum Deck was so powerful at the time. Likewise, Fish Decks also benefit a lot from that Spell Card. On the other hand, Pureglass Spears was good enough to build a Deck around it: a Deck focused on Monsters that attack many times like Dragias and Mad Rare Aquila. - Gate Order Meta is the only Meta that can be said to have Normal Monsters surpassing Maximum and Fusion Monsters. It was here we also got to see the only competitive version of Noodle Deck in the Rush Duels format: which was basically a bunch of Normal Monsters focused on FIRE attribute. I feel that the following cards were not mentioned as Staples or that they were Staples for certain periods: - Multistrike Dragon Dragias: The quintessential Boss Monster's Staple. Basically, you can put this Boss Monster in any Deck and it will work or help you. A lot of selection boxes in there! I think it would make sense to put cards that most players will want regardless of what deck they play into products that incentivize spending money.
There's a lot of cards Konami could add with what we have and would be nice, but some may be an issue as well (Nobody Scat thief for example, getting more draws to get what you need or just surviving one more turn like buffered slime may be too strong). 🙏🙏 Time to pray the lord and get a good box so I won't see only cyberse or machines 🙏🙏
i hope we get a good box this month, i think rush duel links is fun atm but it would be nice if there were more viable decks. if we do get more staples id hope for a trap that can deal with maximums, i really hate how they can just win games instantly when drawn
I think everyone feels the same! Negate attack was supposed to be the answer, and to be fair it has stifled overlord quite a bit, but in some regards it still isn't enough.
Every now and then Konami like to bring Nostalgia deck support forward (just look at harpy and buster blader) so it's a possibility, although most of the red-eyes support is fusion based so might have to wait for them to come out.
Shiny Shady is an awesome trap card, it's so new that I forgot to include it! I think there were a few more traps I could've included as well to be honest.

if burn gets to be problematic in rush duel links konami can halve the effect damage like in speed format where LP are just 4000
The issue is that we don't have half lp, so burn would end up being weaker than in the physical game :s
