Thank you so much for watching! I would love to know your thoughts on both these final episodes of Ash's Journey as well as the entirety of the Pokemon Anime. If you'd like a trip down memory lane, check out the playlist that details all of Ash's Journey throughout the Pokemon anime up to this point here: ua-cam.com/video/twZkRynDENw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=JordanFringe
Pokemon anime is overall great, and it's quite crazy to think that there were initially no plans for the anime to continue after Kanto. The anime however has definitely been responsible for making Pikachu not only the mascot of Pokemon, but a major pop culture icon. It also gave us a unique protagonist in Ash, who travelled with pretty great companions (most of them), not to mention the pokemon each person/iteration of Ash has in each series. It is of course sad to no longer have Ash as our main protagonist, but his 25 year legacy of remaining 10 years old and being a unique battler will live on forever.
As someone who grew up with Pokemon, but didn't have time (as many adults don't) to keep up with the anime, Jordan's series about Ash's journey has been a godsend and a fun ride along the way to be the very best like no one ever was.
I hear that I watched the first few gens then school got harder and other life stuff happened so I forgot about it for a while saw the news about Ash leaving and thought how are they pulling this off after him leading for so long didn't have time to watch/catch up but with these I've been able take a fun ride through it all and get the answers I wanted.
Those final 5-10 minutes in the Ash versus Leon battle was beyond a perfect ending for the characters involved. Couldn't help but to cry my eyes out once the screen cut to black, seeing all the pokémon (including Primeape, which was a pleasant surprise) going into the original themesong. What a moment and a perfect ending to a 25 years in the making story. Guess we're all grown up now.
I love how the actual final episode is of the AU Ash that was starting to be featured in the movies. People forget, because this is the last time we’ll see the prime version of Ash. We might never see his alternate variant either. Y’Know, the one who’s only caught a Caterpee & Charmander. I also like how the final episode was drawn in the style of the first 7 gens of the anime. With the more angular shapes & smaller line work. It felt nice to have a final send off to this art style ‘cause while the new art style was great. That first style is how most people saw Ash for so long so it’s nice to see that acknowledged in the final episode.
Watching this whole saga was a trip down memory lane especially for the early seasons. It was a nice touch having this finale episode come out on the animes 25th anniversary
Journeys was fan service and no way can someone convince me otherwise. They finally gave ash a team that was fully evolved (aside from the obvious being Pikachu), ash got an actual mega evolution to make up for not getting one in the region where they were introduced (still annoyed they did they), ash got some fan favorite pokemon that, ash beat strong champions, and to top it off ash won a legitimate tournament (i know he won alola but come on, it was the first ever alolan tournament) truly a fun way to end the 25 year journey with ash
And it was well done fan service that the fans 100% earned. 25 years is a long time I’m only 22 so them day ones put it in they earned that shit especially after that Cameron loss because that was the total opposite that was gigantic fuck you to the fans
I do love how in Journeys they made sure to reflect how much Ash had grown, absolutely taking a mentoring role for Goh and Chloe where he could. Honestly I wish they had the idea for this series earlier so we could've had more seasons of it, but it's a fantastic way to close out the era regardless.
Damn, i started watching this when i was 6 and now 25 years later, it still makes me cry. What serendipitous and unbelievable sense of closure it gives me to watch this epic 8 part series in its complete continuity! It truly feels momentously nostalgic to finally get to rewatch Ash's entire journey all the way from the beginning to the end and catchup with the all the pokemon stories at once. Thank you so very much Jordan for allowing so many of us to rediscover and say goodbye to this iconic part of our childhood, which at some point we all left incomplete. :*
Got teary eyed when the og squad came back to push Pikachu to get up. While wasn't the biggest fan of the Sun and Moon series I think the part where he goes back to Alola and they all start chanting champion for Ash is a nice moment.
WTF this season of the anime sounds a thousand times more fun than the game ever was, just imagine how fun it would be being able to go back and forth from different regions having special events on each one, getting to battle familiar faces from old gens, that would be awesome!!!
Thank you so much Jordan, Pokemon was always close to my heart, but adult life hard, but could not keep up after the hoenn episodes, this playlist gave me back a part of my childhood and the memories I had forgotten. You have completed my inner child's heart !
Chloe is good in my opinion, kinda chill and I like that she just has one Eevee (if she was the main character she would be the #1 trainer). goh is painful to watch tho
I have cried 8 times watching your videos. All 8 where ashs journey videos. Great memories nostalgia, just everything. Thank you for making these videos you are now apart of ashs journey to me.
I really grew up with pokemon, remembering watching the first episode back when I was in kindergarten and being into the games all the time and on-off with the anime. Around the time the final Ash episode aired in Japan, my son was born. And honestly, that's when I really felt grown up, taking responsibility for another human being and all that. So I really got emotional watching it and probably will ever be.
This series has really helped me finish Ash’s story since I dropped the anime over time around Gen IV. Glad to see he finally became the trainer he always wanted
Holy damn, I was not expecting that epilogue. I'm really interested in watching the whole series someday, and this walk through Ash's journey sure made that desire a whole lot stronger.
Thanks for making it easy to jump back on the Pokemon train and sorta complete this series thru your summaries. Couldn't have done it without you Jordan. My childhood and current self thank you immensely! Keep up the great work.
the way this ended is so beautiful. the symmetry of journeys and the whole series, them ending up on lugia once again just like how they met and ash seeing ho oh again signaling the end of his journey(in our eyes) i also loved how goh caught mew like just in his hand, that was pretty nice irony
While I wasn't keeping up with the Anime until the end, it was still a very emotional ride to watch this Retrospect. Pokemon is truely something special. Nobody can deny that. Thank you for your work you have put into that Guide, it was truely a great watch!
Finally completing the series. Thank you jordan foe your hardwork. This last episode tears me up. Thanks ash and friends for the journey, good luck for you all
I really liked Journeys, sure some of the filler wasn’t the best, but the episodes focused on concrete stories and battles, they are some of the best of the franchise. Loved how many previous gym leaders, rivals and companions showed up. Loved how Ash actively trained his team and how he didn’t easily breeze thru the Coronation Series and how the battles were legitimately hard fought. My favorite battles of Journeys are Volkner, Korrina, Cynthia, Leon and Drasna. Lucario and Dragonite are my faves from his Journeys team. And Goh was a really good companion.
Man.. started watching Pokémon right before turning 6 years old when it first aired and it’s crazy now being 31, seeing this conclusion. My 5 year old and 2 year old sons love Pokémon and it’s so wonderful being able to relive my childhood with them ❤️
I was worried you stopped these for one reason or another. But to drop the last 3 in such quick succession was such a treat, but beyond that this whole series was a treat. Thank you, it’s been a blast reminiscing with this series.
It is crazy that a show running for this long could have such a meaningful and emotional through-line all the way up to the end, with real character growth (though not physically, which is just weird when you consider how many in universe years actually pass). I stopped watching years ago, only occasionally looking into the series, so this entire guide you made has been a great way for me to reconnect with the show. I did come back and watch the last episodes after the champion fight, and enjoyed them thoroughly, and have even started watching the new series now, which has so far been pretty good. I wish the games could grow in quality like the show does -_-
Watching this video series has been such a delight, reliving old moments and seeing new ones recapped by you. Loved how you posted the final episode on the day that Ash's journey ended too, it's been a fun ride watching this, thanks for the amazing guide to Ash's journey!
Thank you for making such a good series especially for people who want to know about the Pokémon anime but don’t want to watch a bunch of episodes and just want an overview.
Just finished watching and I'm feeling incredibly emotional now that the series has ended 😢 I just wanna say THANK YOU, Jordan for recapping this amazing show that i hold very close to my heart. Pokemon was my whole childhood and you gave it the perfect recap. The hardwork and effort you put into making these quality videos for us is truly appreciated. With all the amazing content you post, you deserve millions of subscribers 😭💯 Will be eagerly waiting to watch more of your future content. Thank you again! 🥺💗
Watching one man document the whole anime over a period of half a year wasn’t how I expected to be inspired to rewatch the anime in its entirety but. Here we are. Amazing work. This has been as much a journey as watching this series as a whole
Thanks for saving me the trouble of watching the series If you hadn't made this I would have never known what ash has been up to. You've done a great job covering this thank you for all your hard work.
I love how this series of the anime brings back many many characters throughout the years. It’s a nice way to show where each character is at at this point in time and at times summarizing there character. It’s a nice way to send off Ash and all his friends
My heart. I've been watching this for a while now, and this last part, covering the end of the series and ofmy childhood, has me all sorts of emotional. Thank you, Jordan.
Thank you for making these. I have horrible motivation when it comes to watching long series, and this was the perfect way to keep me interested. I can only imagine how much time and effort went into this series and im truly grateful for you
Subbed off this series. I've been watching pokemon since before I knew how to speak. This franchise will forever hold a special place in my heart. That final battle vs Leon will always make me tear up. Thank you Ash and Pikachu. You'll always be my pokemon master.
Man the final battle and the emotional moments leading to the end really got to me. I don't think they could have pulled off Ash's send off any better than they did
I love that Ash's journey started with an encounter with Ho'Oh and ended with an encounter with its counterpart Lugia. Makes everything come full circle.
Thank you so much for making these videos. As someone who grew up with Pokémon and never got to finish every region story this was so much fun to watch. From beginning to end it was filled with nostalgia, laughs, and tears. Pokémon is just one of those things that’ll stay timeless. Thanks again for this video series.
Journeys, for all its flaws, really is one of my favorite series in the anime, and it gave us one of my favorite characters in Goh, and it made me love Pokemon like Dracovish, Kamon and Gengar! And the music in the Japanese version is some of the best Pokemon has to offer ever!
Thank You Jordan. I can honestly say watching your reviews on Pokémon and Ashs adventures really put a smile on my face. This last one really made me tear up.
Thanks Jordan, your entire series has brought back so many memories of episodes I watched growing up and even filling in the sun/moon arcs I didn’t watch. It’s shocking to think that a lot of us were just little kids watching this anime on a Saturday with our parents secretly thinking ‘oh god not more pokemon’ and now I bet many of us have our own kids sit in front of it with us. Keep making great content man.
I hadn't really watched Pokémon since the gen 3 games came out & after ash being the main character for literally my whole life I just can't imagine Pokémon without him. As a kid it really felt you were learning about pokemon along side him. When a new gen would drop we'd experience a new world with him. Idk I still find it crazy
I couldn't be there with Ash going up, life took me to different places, but since being with him in the beginning of his journey and learning like many of his in-universe friends that someone whom they had parted with but who had affected their lives had accomplished so much felt like a joy. I couldn't go back and watch the series like you have Jordan, so thats for giving me and others this chance of catching up on a legendary journey of self discover, exploration, friendship, and perservance. Its is so silly feeling so much for a fictional character, but this series is worth it. I hope life will bless me with the time to see an new trainer's journey start again and I can be a part of that journey even a little.
I watched this entire series through this entire week, while waiting for the final series "To Be A Pokemon Master" and watched it today before watching this. i had chills, got excited, sad, and now I think I can grow as a person and grow out of pokemon. Thanks for helping me realize who i am. I know it sounds dumb but i think i can grow out of my pokemon opseetion I've had my entire life. Thanks for changing my life (i guess) .
Jordan Thank you so much for this series. I felt like I was reliving a part of my childhood. This is definitely a series of yours I will go back and watch when I'm feeling down. Thank you for all your hard work !
This whole serie has been great and super fun to watch, you did it in a really good way, this is one of the best if not the best series i have seen on youtube : )
1:09:14 This was a point in the series where the SWSH games had been in its two year mark. And they were connecting the new experimental games Legends Arceus, and I like how they gave a nod to the games in slight aspects even sometimes spinoffs
A scene that made me tear up and you didn't mention was the one that the alolan crowd cheers for Ash as the one and only alolan pokémon champion. I love the sun/moon anime and seeing Ash being cherished as a true champion, proving that he does deserve his spot in the top 8, alongside such big names as Cynthia, Steven and Lance was a truly emotional moment that destroyed any doubts Ash (or anyone watching) could have at that moment that he would win.
This was my favourite series on youtube and I will definitely be back to watch it all again sometime! Thank you Jordan, you are the true pokemon master!
Well, thank you very much for making me cry by helping to finally see the entire journey all the way through. I followed the show and movies for as long as I could, but just at some point it became harder to catch it on TV or even want to watch it. Thank you very much! 😁
As someone who gave up watching after sinnoh, I honestly LOVE these videos. Thanks for all the effort. I would like to see more about nostalgic shows that might still be ongoing or recently have finished.
I subscribed to your channel right when you released part 3 of this series. Not only do you cover a ton of my favorite childhood shows at an unmatched quality, but your speed of video releases are unreal. I'll enjoy being a part of your growing community, keep it up man!
I only ever watched the first series in the Kanto region so of course it holds a special place. After watching this entire series though I feel like the 6th season is objectively the best. The 8th season is also pretty good though. It's refreshing to see a show wrap up so well. This series has been awesome, im sorry to see it end. The music was definitely one of the highlights. You should be proud of these 8 videos, they are exceptional.
LOL Everytime I finish watching one of these you post a new episode the next day. Great work on these Jordan. You can tell you put a lot into making them and they are FANTASTIC!!!
Thank you for making this amazing series and putting all the effort you did into it. Such an amazing project to watch come all the way together and the emotional pay off is great at the end. Amazing work!
Jordan really outdid himself releasing videos back to back to coincide with the final batch. As a side note for everyone who watched this series subbed...what a pain was waiting for the final battles of the show but it was worth it although the final mini series was decent at best but still emotional that it was Ash's finale. What a journey it was and everyone who watches this on Netflix i hope you enjoy it
Honestly, I legit think it’s possible to make video discussing the road to Ash vs Leon cause I think there’s enough material documenting the journey. (How we were at before the masters arc, the matchups being revealed, the controversial first round, the breaks, recaps and Chloe episode, the fandoms reaction to this whole thing, and how the people working on the episodes where understaffed)
Just watched the battle between Charizard and Pikachu and holy cow it was epic!! Really hit the nostalgia feels. Teared up a bit when pikachu saw bulbasor and squirtle i remembered immediately all those years ago when i fell in love with this series.
hey man, thank you for this! this sounds stupid but i finally feel some closure after all these years and it makes me miss an old best friend whom i got into Pokémon with! definitely shook the foundation of those memories! you dont get the credit you deserve for this but i wanted to say personally from my heart thank you for this!

How the fuck did you make the last 3 vids so quickly

Such an awesome series, thank you for putting it together and I hope it makes you lots of money.
You did an amazing job with this. Made me sad that it really all has came to such a beautiful story ending. ❤

Summarized over 25 years of Pokemon in almost 16 hours. What a ride.
Well spent 16 hours 😂
If we watched the anime we would still be in kanto
@@politedonut2637 We'd have finished ep 48 which is when Ash got his charizard. Roughly 4% through the anime.
Convinced he made the last 3 videos in a single batch. There’s no other way to explain how he made it this so quickly
Yeah it would be insane to think he recorded audio and edited the video in a day
He didn't post anything for 3 months, which mean that he made them during these months and then scheduled it to get posted as a batch
He couldn't have since he watched Journeys on Netflix and they literally just released the final batch of episodes.
Oh definitely he did

These last 25 Years were truly fun, weren't they?
The Grateful Dead said it best “What a long strange trip it’s been”

Genuinely got really emotional during Ash's battle with Leon, and the final episodesayimg by to Misty and Brock
Chloe's Evee using all its evolved forms moves but staying an Evee was always kinda cool
Wasn't expecting the last part so soon. I haven't finished Sun and Moon yet. Big kudos though for doing this series. It was well worth it to me anyway
These have been some of the best videos you have made! Fantastic work!
Very rarely do I subscribe to a creator, even more-so do I like the video... This 8 part series is UA-cam gold. Thank you Jordan!
This whole serie has been great and super fun to watch, you did it in a really good way, this is one of the best if not the best series i have seen on youtube : )
Thank you Jordan for this entire series of videos truly a lot of love and hard work went into this and it is very much appreciated.
1:09:14 This was a point in the series where the SWSH games had been in its two year mark. And they were connecting the new experimental games Legends Arceus, and I like how they gave a nod to the games in slight aspects even sometimes spinoffs
Love that Chuck came back
A scene that made me tear up and you didn't mention was the one that the alolan crowd cheers for Ash as the one and only alolan pokémon champion.
Jordan. Thank you. I love your content and your drive for quality. These last few videos is like an early Christmas gift.
Thanks! perhaps will find out who Ash’s dad is in the next generation of Pokémon!
Thank you Jordan for encapsulating all of Ash's journey in a bingeable vid series❤❤❤
These videos actually got me back into watching the series
Thanks Jordan 👍
Are you serious right now, part 8 already!! You sir are a legend!! Cheers 🍻
Legit made me sad at the end when he won. This has been a brilliant series to follow, great work fella.
Amazing series and amazing work ethic that went into making these video. Was very enjoyable watching every minute of them.
MAGIKARP SALESMAN GUY! 😂 what a thoughtful inclusion I was not expecting to be so thoroughly happy to see. 1:09:09
He must stalk James 😂
@@claymathewselevator8121 that must be it
Thank you for making this amazing series and putting all the effort you did into it. Such an amazing project to watch come all the way together and the emotional pay off is great at the end. Amazing work!
Absolutely loved this series, was so perfect to watch at work. Love the long videos too!
When the OG song started not gonna lie it made me tear up with joy lol
wow what in insanely heavy way to end the series. What a great show ty for this jordan!
Wow ive been weeping the last 20 minutes of this video im just so happy for Ash man
My jaw DROPPED when I realized Mew got his original voice from the first movie and Snap back.
Thank you for this, I binged the whole series over this weekend and it was really well done.
thank you for making this, it has been a very enjoyable few days as i binge watched everything...
@@mr.penguindrewmateo8146fr it was such a rollercoaster
Just watched the battle between Charizard and Pikachu and holy cow it was epic!! Really hit the nostalgia feels. Teared up a bit when pikachu saw bulbasor and squirtle i remembered immediately all those years ago when i fell in love with this series.
hey man, thank you for this! this sounds stupid but i finally feel some closure after all these years and it makes me miss an old best friend whom i got into Pokémon with! definitely shook the foundation of those memories! you dont get the credit you deserve for this but i wanted to say personally from my heart thank you for this!
What a mad lad getting these last 3 vids out so fast
