There's a reason she didn't get much further after this. That behavior was unacceptable for a professional chef.
Kudos to Alex for feeling bad about using the Punishment Pass and trying to apologize, even if he didn't need to. He seems like a genuinely kind-hearted person. You don't see that a lot on Hell's Kitchen.
You guys forget this competition is so difficult. It's hard to stay strong the whole competition. Her breakdown was probably going to happen eventually if she kept feeling like her team is against her.
In a competition where you're living in a dorm setting away from your family and friends, I can assure you - the _reward_ is to get away from HK and have some sense of normalcy, albeit short-lived, especially to get your second wind to continue on. The Punishment Pass (strategically speaking) needs to be used at some point - that was as good a time as any.
Tara didn’t even get her dish put up in today’s challenge. It’s not like she’s S14 Meghan or S11 Jon, both of whom hold records for how many punishments they’ve done.

Honestly, despite the drama and attitudes some of these contestants have, I’d say this is one of my favorite group of chefs in Hell’s Kitchen. I hope Season 22 has an interesting misfit bunch of chefs as well.

@@jacomananzan626 No it's not. Season 22 is my best season. You will only find 1 disliked chef in the red team and 1 villain chef in the blue team, but both are sufferable and decent chefs. Moreso, season 22 has the best chefs casted, better than season 19. It has a great winner, a runner up who I personally think is the best runner up in the history, a third placer who always gets a point in challenges. A black jacket who is perhaps one of the best leaders, and another black jacket who was only in the industry for 6 months but dominated the challenges and dinner services. Apart from these, those who didn't make the black jackets are also so lovely and great chefs.

Just putting myself in alex’s shoes. Besides tara there were the younger chefs and he may have not been comfortable doing that to the younger ones and felt more comfortable doing it to someone around the same age range.
The Reason Alex picked Tara is because Alejandro used his punishment pass specifically against Sommer because he thought Sommer was one of the weakest chefs in the competition, so he wanted to try and provoke her to crash and burn. and seeing how the punishment went. he didn't want to use it on a 20 something because they didn't want for them to take it the same way. So he thought that Tara, being twice their ages. would be able to take it a lot better. little did Alex knew but Tara took it Significantly worse then anyone on the 20 somethings team.
I think both punishment passes ending up on the Blue team was a little unfair to the women tbh. Brynn/Steve both having one and then using it on each other is the way to go and still be sportsman-like.
