    My biggest issue with Hisam is that he absolutely berrated Reilly for telling him that she saw him as a threat. He talked down to her and treated her like she committed some sort of cardinal sin. Then he gets HoH and what does he do? He stands in front of the whole house and does exactly what he belittled Reilly for doing privately. He's a massive hypocrite and I can't wait to see him gone.

    I don’t understand the concept of still sucking up to the HOH after the veto meeting. They’re literally the least powerful person in the game after that point. I can understand voting with the house, not voting for the HOH.

    • @khntou4178
      @khntou4178 Рік тому +35

      I think it's harder in the early game to do that when people are generally finding easy targets and will target people for the smallest things as the easiest way out. Trying to flip the game so early is a very easy way to be sent home if it doesn't work out, so usually not worth the risk. Flips tend to happen towards the mid-game when threats are more recognized.

    • @jacobgoldman5780
      @jacobgoldman5780 Рік тому +7

      the players on the block are the least powerful players at that point...

    • @GeneralGrievousCIS
      @GeneralGrievousCIS Рік тому

      HOHs don't have a vote after veto, but usually HOHs DO have alliance deals by virtue of their position, and their allies often want to "respect the HOH" by making sure their target goes, so as to keep them as an ally. First week HOHs especially tend to be aligned with, and have lots of influence over, about half the house.
      Sucking up or campaigning to the HOH post veto isn't really about the HOH as much as it's about trying to get them to sway their allies towards your preferred target of the two.
      HOH can also be the tie breaker vote, which is important on split house seasons like BB20.
      Take this season for example. Sucking up to Reilly after the veto had already been played may seem pointless, but ultimately Reilly was going to be the decider of who went home. If Kirsten had sucked up more, or Felicia had sucked up less, Reilly could've EASILY had her allies flip the vote. By being 1st HOH (especially) you become a "leader" in the subconscious of your allies and they are often inclined to just go with whatever you say. Reilly's allies were very much that way. You also see that to an extent with Tyler BB20.

    • @TysonHook-22-
      @TysonHook-22- Рік тому

      When people rush to flip the votes early in the game, its usually viewed by the other players as overplaying way to fast and hard... especially if your campaigning for it harder then those on the block themselves, it just becomes alarming behavior being so eager to flip the house it truly can be just as damaging of a game move as a super controlling HOH.
      Arguably the worst thing you can do is get on the bad side of a eventual comp beast, you never know how clutch a players gonna be during comps, so until they walk out that door for good, you gotta be extremely cautious of who and when you betray someone in the game...
      Bottom-line flipping the house Is a high risk game move that if it doesnt work can make you an easy and logical target for the next HOH to take out.

      That's not even going into the fact, she threatened to curb stomp, the one person who stood up for her in Week 1 during the robot twist (Tyler) I know she didn't name him but it's clear who she was talking about, mentioning in graphic detail what a curb stomp was. That was some Jackson Michie levels of crude. And she didn't even give Tyler her vote after all he did for her! Do I think Tyler should have won over Kaycee? Maybe not but to literally be decided by one vote...

      @@KlaviceGavin It was pretty clear she was going through some sort of mental crisis if you were watching the feeds, especially towards the end. No, that doesn't excuse her actions and she might not be a good person based on her character on the show. • @KlaviceGavin
      @KlaviceGavin Рік тому

      @@khntou4178 Yeah... people with mental issues can and should get help. And there are applicants every year who are rejected because they picked someone who self Evicts in the case of Paloma after starting a house-wide hate borderline racist and misogynistic, tirade against someone who clearly didn't deserve it (Taylor) instead or someone like Justin Sebik who threatened to stab someone who was inebriated or Willie Hantz who physically assaulted someone, or to use a recent example, Luke who was the last straw for the production team being lenient on racism.
      It's clear production has to cast people that are either mentally stable or get these people some help, if they don't have it already. I wouldn't sign up for BB Canada for instance due to my own issues that I have to deal with, and being a have not wouldn't be fun since I love to shower.
      And then there's people who are relatively sane but get edited positively like Jeff from BB11 and 13 despite constant usage of homophobic slurs. The fact people think BB15 was the straw that broke the camel's back when it was far sooner but production doesn't want you to know is quite appalling.

Sam, Bailey, and Hisam actually picked decent targets, but handled their execution terribly. Bayleigh was really disappointing for me. She came in with a really strong understanding of how the game is to be played. She even spoke to her man about staying level-headed and in control of his emotions when he was HoH. Then he left, and it was as if she went downhill from there. Confessing to her enemy that she had that power and thinking she wouldn't tell anyone was idiotic. Bayleigh played herself to the point where it was maddening. I just realized, if you count Sam as a member of FOUTTE almost every member of that alliance who won that power went on a power trip when they won HoH, including Fessy who was extremely overprotective of Haleigh. Honestly, this whole list could be BB20 HOH reigns. That’s how crazy it was but I loved it.

    Back in the day I remember some fans saying Diane was the reason Adria nominated Will, although Diane then professed to be angry and shocked over his nomination. Diane ran a lot of the game that season, so that would make sense. The whole thing felt extremely disorienting at the time as I wasn't following closely enough and was just going with the TV edits. I never had any idea Adria was the person we saw that HOH week. There's also the rawness which BB still had up to about season 8 or 9 which made you feel more emotionally involved.
    Devin's HOH was just pure entertainment. I still remember the "Devin has a daughter" jokes.

To balance out the power, they all have to play that none of them can compete for HOH during both weeks three and four and their only shot for safety is the veto.

    You don't want hoh in the first week. And you dont want hoh in in the second week either. 3rd hoh is the best week because you can easily assess who will be against you and who will be an allie. And you certainly dont want to be an hoh with no clear target.

First hoh is so crucial to balancing becoming the second evicted house guest which we've seen time and time again and setting yourself up to be positioned well in the game. It is super difficult not to become a target for next week's target. That's why we see so many people drop out the the first hoh competition saying they don't want to win. Haha, now that you broke Sam’s HOH down like that, it’s funny how even though the bonus life was one of the most overpowered twists, it ended up not only being useless for Sam but actively a detriment to her game. I don’t understand why she wanted to win that HOH so bad, because she knew whoever she nominated and sent home would immediately have a good chance of coming back, and then get IMMUNITY the next week if they do. Even if she handled her reign beautifully it would’ve been one of the worst weeks to win HOH, because no matter who you target they’d likely be safe and then gun for you, and you know you still have a good chance to be safe even if you’re literally evicted that week, so the stakes are way lower to try to even win safety.
    I guess somehow by Kaitlin’s miraculous failure Sam managed to still send someone home, but the chances of that happening were shockingly low and she still wanted to risk it.. why?? 😭 That’s really one of the few times winning HOH actively screws you over regardless of how you play it. At best you have like a 10% chance of achieving anything, you’re most likely to send no one home and have a useless reign, and at worst you actively make multiple people heavily target you who all survive the week. And the one you evicted is guaranteed to survive the NEXT week as well if they succeed, and she knew all this going into it and still wanted to win??? I don’t get it

Basically anyone other than Kaitlyn probably would’ve ended up coming back lmao, Sam even could’ve talked to her alliance and made a plan to like intentionally throw the Hoh and evict an ally to give them safety the next week and trick an enemy into getting a lot of blood on their hands with no reward, but I guess they didn’t know how easy that puzzle was gonna be
