I have to disagree, everyone experiences trauma differently. A guy who’s been stalking you for the whole day, kills your friends one by one, and tries to kill you and just doesn’t die after getting stab with a sewing needle in the neck, stabbed in the chest, and shot 6 times and he has no motivation is enough to make anyone paranoid and go thru ptsd. With trauma, some people tries to move on like how Laurie did in H20 while some people can’t and lives in the past like the Laurie we have today
I like this Laurie better than H20 because I think this is more realistic. She was 17 when this happened, that’s a crucial point in someone’s life. They think they’re coming into adulthood and they kinda are, then *bam* maniac slashes all your friends and basically anyone else between you and him. I’d honestly probably be crazier than this poor Laurie Strode is. Well she’s crazy but she’s not wrong really so she’s not that crazy, just traumatized.

Agreed. They never established how long Laurie had been friends with Annie and Lynda. But even if they had only been friends through high school, their deaths alone would be traumatizing enough, let alone having to fight for your life on three different occasions on the same night.
The ones who go "He only killed 4 people" miss the fact that 3 of those people were Laurie's friends who she knew for years and the number of people he killed didn't make what he did any less horrible. When they’re hiding in the cellar that dark shot of Michael starting from his knees slowly panning up to his face and seeing how pissed he looks was terrifying
This one is the one I’ve been waiting for! I liked this one more than the original, which may be controversial. I thought it incorporated the best of the original, but also made it look more polished and refined.
Same I just rewatched the original and I never realized how stupid Laurie and Micheal Myers both were in that movie lmao I guess it’s just a little dated
I absolutely love this movie. I always hated the sibling twist, it was so forced and completely ruined the point of Michael in my opinion. 2018 is the most quintessential movie in the franchise after the original. It is pitch perfect Halloween.
Out of every other sequel in my opinion this was the best one it gives a glimpse of what real life trauma can do to affect a persons life. I thought it was well done.
And finally, we've made it. The night he became awesome once more! I didn't mind the whole brother/sister thing and it still kind of felt like it was in here just not as pronounced, and so I was somewhat taken aback when I found out that Halloween II was no longer canon, but it was still the best movie this franchise had gotten in 37 long years. And I can't gush over it without mentioning the awesome soundtrack which was composed by both John Carpenter and his son Cody. OMG, that soundtrack! I loved the main theme, Halloween Triumphant so much that I made it the new closing track to my Halloween Ultimate Horror Mix album. Yeah, go check it out, tis' the spooky season anyway. And now, it's time to join that angry mob in Haddonfield and help them take down Michael once and for all. Halloween Kills is here and evil dies tonight. Who's with me? 🎃 🔪
@@MysteriousAnimates ive watched every single one of them a couple times and don’t remember this. Except for the Busta Rhymes one. I just can’t w that one lmao
Honestly, outside of the original and Halloween III this is my favorite Halloween film. Didn't know how much I loved an evil-to-the-core Michael Myers until I watched this film and James Jude Courtney killed it as Myers.
While I don't like the Dr. Sartain twist, I'm willing to let it slide because you made it sound more believable. Dealing with Myers eventually made Loomis go crazy in halloween 5
@Jarred Knox because him putting the mask on was ridiculous. They didn’t set it up well enough. His death was one of the worst. And why does the kid that dies in the truck sound like he’s 40 and he smokes two packs and day
@Jarred Knox exactly what the guy under you said i can accept that it's kinda outta nowhere even tho the Dr gave subtle hints but the mask part definitely looked silly as hell. Takes away from the twist itself in a way. And he had no clear endgame for his "motivation" you bring him to Laurie and then what ?! Hope she can get him to speak ? For a doctor dude was outta his fuckin mind
@Jarred Knox so the drs whole life was consumed by Michael? Not buying it. He isn’t loomis. You can’t just shoehorn him in cause loomis is dead. Sartain hasn’t earned that. And the kid smoking was a joke. Anyway if they wanted this twist they should have put more effort into the dr taking over after loomis died. Give us some insight to there backstory. Not have it just be oh loomis was obsessed so the guy that took over is also obsessed
@Jarred Knox lmao u asked for a reason and it was given yet you wanna criticize the reason, I still like the film and I did understand but that Lil silly shit coulda Ben left out, u writin a thesis like a nigga hated the film or sumn 😂 gone on man
@Jarred Knox gotta spoon feed you I guess. He doesn’t have the clout. We the audience don’t know him. We haven’t spent time with him. So for us to just believe that he is soo obsessed to the point it’s driven him crazy is hard to believe. We have to see him neglecting his kids to work, ignoring his wife to work, forgetting simple things because he is all consumed with this idea. Something. We don’t get any of that. A few lines dropped here or there isn’t enough. Maybe instead of telling them not to cross the yellow line he encourages it. Give us something. Instead it’s just a few blink and you miss it lines from him and boom all of a sudden now he’s this obsessed deranged killer . It doesn’t work
Halloween 2018 ages phenomenally well. It's easily the best Halloween film besides the first. It's truly a badass movie through and through and very hyped for H Kills
I agree with you and am also, one of the few who like the twist of the doctor being negatively affected by Michael. Your reasons behind it make perfect sense, as everyone who has encountered Michael is affected one way or another.
Never watched none of the Halloween movies until I started watching your review videos I remember only seeing the 2018 film in theaters, so you’ve honestly made me watch them, keep up the good work man!
This film was basically my 1st horror movie experience and I loved it. It was either Halloween 2018 or The 1st Friday the 13th that was my first horror movie experience.when I watched like the last 10 minutes of the original Friday the 13th when I had sling back in I think 2017 or 2018 It was one one of those years where Friday the 13th was in September. This film and the original Halloween made me fall in love with Michael Myers he's basically my favorite horror movie killer/villain with Jason 2nd and Ghostface 3rd (Even though I have never watched a Scream film well I might've for a few minutes watched the original then decidedto look what else was on TV)
Movies don't have to be perfect to be awesome. David Gordon Green's improv-heavy style may stumble sometimes, but it's also how this movie gets to its highest highs. After decades of bad horror sequels? More like this, please!
In the movie right after she say's that weird line, Dr. Sartain actually shakes his head "no" while telling Laurie he knows all about her. To show how 'addicted' he is to Michael, but up to that point in the movie, all his weird lines come off as just something a scientist would say in a movie from the 80s and 90s, but he wouldn't actually be evil. Makes more sense in this movie.
We appreciate YOU, Chris. Looking forward to your reviews of Halloween Kills and Chucky. I'd like to point out that I liked how Laurie referred to Michael as "The Shape" at one point. 40 years and I think this is the first movie to call him that in the dialogue.
I agree with you on the point that, while at face value, Laurie’s obsession with Michael may seem odd, it is due to the fact that she came face to face with pure evil and walked away. I think Halloween Kills and Ends are going to explore that even more
I've watched everyone of these reviews you did and man, I can't believe how much I agree with all of your views on these movies! I was kinda meh on 2018 but I'm sure hoping the next 2 make this one better for me... Yeah
I love everything about this timeline, even the doctor twist. I was shocked and laughing my ass off when it went down. Slowly clapping with glee. Thank YOU Chris for all the great reviews. Every video gets me through an otherwise dull day at the office.
Halloween 2018 by far is the one to bring back 1978 memories and nostalgia of watching the original one, also the parallels with Michael and Laurie switching roles where Laurie is now the hunter and Michael is the runner, its proven once watching the entire 3rd act. Loved the review Chris, keep it up pal!
Watching this in theaters was great. I managed to get my cousin to come along. He hadn't seen the series before either! So hours before heading out to watch 2018 we put on the original. It really got our heads in the right place too. I think the only two parts that really took me out of the movie was the peanut butter line and Sartain standing up with the mask on. It's a shame he died too. It could have been really interesting to see where that obsession would have ended up as things snowballed. It's not perfect, but man was Michael in top form.
I’ve been waiting for your recap on this movie since it’s my favorite horror movie ever and the way you described some stuff like with the evil eyes stuff somehow made me appreciate this movie EVEN more
This time line tops the H20 one i was skeptical at first when I heard they were removing the brother sister dynamic for this version, but after watching it? Oh boy was i glad to go see this and like the nostalgic treats it gave. Thanks Cris for the awesome reviews you are a true spoke ya momma warrior.
Thank you, Cris. These Halloween reviews were awesome. Thanks for doing all of this. Now, I’m feeling kind of sad these reviews are over. Well, it’s just time to rewatch..
I watched every single one of these Halloween review videos. I know how much work goes into making a video like this and I just wanted to let you know that you're awesome for all of the work you put into them. They're brilliant. The commentary, the comedy, the editing. Everything is on point. Great job! 👍🏻 Hopefully you'll find time to make a Halloween III review video. I'd love to see it. Keep up the amazing work.
2018 was fantastic for me. I thought it was so well done and the attention to detail on Myers and the mask was outstanding. My only real disagreement with you is the portrayal of Laurie. PTSD hits people so differently. She did lose 3 of her friends in brutal fashion. She was attacked and taunted by a silent, masked maniac who she couldn't kill or even stop. I don't think it's hard to imagine that she wouldn't be able to get over that and her obsession eventually ruined her life. My only main complaint with this movie is the showdown at the end. Laurie could have saved herself a TON of trouble had she turned the lights back on in the house. She'd have found him so easily and could have even trapped him in that room or found a way to lure him to the basement. Otherwise I love the whole movie. My personal favorite sequel.

Can’t wait for Halloween Kills and hope this isn’t the end of reviews like this because I need this for Scream! 👍🔪🩸
While I'm not the biggest Halloween fan, I still apreciate you doing these awesome reviews 👍. I'm currently binge watching both the nightmare on elm street and Scream franchise just for fun :)
Laurie was aware of Michael stalking her THE WHOLE DAY! Lol it’s not just “a few minutes” that traumatized her… more things I feel are misunderstood but imma just hit the like and listen to the opinions. (I’m a hardcore Halloween fan so these covers make me cringe lol but I love your other content).
Ok one more thing… ALL the logic and context of this movie are references of older movies and I think the end is somewhat of them burning it all away (Michael survives) and halloween kills will be more “original” after they paid homage to every other film even if they took it all out of canon (but like the marvel multiverse… only way I can explain a deeper logic… even in this universe of Michael, it all still “repeats itself”)
Nice, finished all the reviews just in time haha! I like how you pointed out the affect michael has on the people he comes into contact with, never thought about that. Great video as always Chris!
Thank you chris for the series, Halloween has always been my favorite horror franchise and to see one of favorite youtubers go over all the films praising and criticizing them was one best things on yt
Watching it in October of 2018 felt like a very good touch to the Halloween season. Definitely one of the highlights I had with 2018 seeing as fall / Halloween is my favorite time of the year.

Cheers to you and how quickly and professionally you produce the work!!! Sad that this is the last one till, well I guess next week with Kills! Amazing work my friend! And I whole heartedly agree that the H2O Laurie was a WAYYYYYYY better version of where the character would have been. Glad you feel the same.

I kind of wish halloween 2 was still canon. I'm ok with Michael and Laurie no longer being brother and sister but I really liked halloween 2. At some points even more than the original.
One of the best for sure. I like how it showed Michael only killed when he had a challenge. Which is why he didn't kill the baby. Its in my top 3 of Halloween films.
If you have the extra time you should definitely revisit season of the witch, I know you said you had to finish all of these on time for kills but I really think you could squeeze it in before Friday

Watched all of your reviews with my son (he’s 13). He showed me your page, lol. I think you’re right, 2018 Halloween was a great movie. As you said, they could’ve left the brother/sister dynamic (it confused me), but it didn’t kill the movie for me. Looking forward to the next!
Watched them all! Going to miss looking forward to the next ones when you're done! Maybe you could do a series like this for scream before good ol 5 DaCream! Lol
I’m sorry I know it might be the cool thing to pick this movie apart. But this was legit the best movie out of all the Halloween movies I just binged. I do agree with how extreme Lauri is though, but that does make Lauri cool. The mask in this one is second only to the OG mask. Michael was brutal asf, 9/10. This has been a long and fun journey to go on with you. Halloween was always my favorite horror franchise, but I learned so much about the series because of this, because of you. I even watched a lot of other videos on Halloween, interviews with Jamie Lee Curtis. Now I’m all ready and hype asf to see Halloween Kills. My 2nd favorite is Child’s Play, I’m actually going to binge all of those before I watch the show. 😊
Fun fact: Michael doesn't put on his mask until 40 minutes into the film, which is only 10 minutes away from the halfway point of when the credits start rolling
I am way too excited to watch Halloween kills in a few days! It was really nice to get to watch all of these videos and be refreshed on everything that’s happened in different timelines and this one, I really appreciate it
I prefer this version as it holds an emotional significance to me. This was the first horror movie I actually saw in the cinema and not on TV. Not only that but it was the first time my aunt took me to the cinema, we both loved it a lot. Sadly she passed away a month ago, she was so excited to see the sequel but I guess some things are just not meant to be.

3C Films and Dead Meat are carrying 2021. Love the content and the humour 3C films. The skits with you are the best.
Man to be in the same category of dead meat is an honor!!
@@3CFilms omg you replied 😱😱😁 That’s so f***** great omg😁😁
When they’re hiding in the cellar that dark shot of Michael starting from his knees slowly panning up to his face and seeing how pissed he looks was terrifying
Yeah and the score during that scene was just 🤌
Cris, you did it!! Got em ALL done before Halloween Kills!
Can’t believe it!!
You are one of the few people I can actually enjoy watching. Been binging you 1-2 months
Thank you fam!!
This one is the one I’ve been waiting for! I liked this one more than the original, which may be controversial. I thought it incorporated the best of the original, but also made it look more polished and refined.
Glad you love it that much!!
Co-sign
Man I can’t wait till Friday I can’t believe it’s almost here we’ve waited long enough… I love this time of year .
Wanna know why Michael tried to kill his sister- I MEAN, Laurie? She didn't drink Wilkins Coffee.
sorry i dont get the joke cuz i dont watch the halloween movies except the 2018 one lol
Makes sense
@@MysteriousAnimates ive watched every single one of them a couple times and don’t remember this. Except for the Busta Rhymes one. I just can’t w that one lmao
@@virgie4715 it's a joke referencing Jim Hensons original commercials, it's also their thumbnail pic
Ahhh someone who knows about the great old school Jim Henson Coffee commercials with a dark twisted humor to it!
I remember being a little disappointed watching this at the movies but slowly through rewatches I’ve really started to like it
Glad to hear that!!
This is good for a first time horror movie
You have to do this series of the scream movies for Scream 5
Movies don't have to be perfect to be awesome. David Gordon Green's improv-heavy style may stumble sometimes, but it's also how this movie gets to its highest highs. After decades of bad horror sequels? More like this, please!
I agree
I think Dr. Sartain is the complete opposite of Loomis. It makes Laurie’s “New Loomis” line ironic when you look back at it.

Yeah
I’m going to miss this series so much. Thanks for being on the grind for us Chris!!! 🎃
I love everything about this timeline, even the doctor twist. I was shocked and laughing my ass off when it went down.
Slowly clapping with glee. Thank YOU Chris for all the great reviews. Every video gets me through an otherwise dull day at the office.
Thank you for watching!!
This was definitely one of the better timelines/reboots
It sure was
@@3CFilms although there some noticeable rough patches
Watching this in theaters was great. I managed to get my cousin to come along. He hadn't seen the series before either! So hours before heading out to watch 2018 we put on the original. It really got our heads in the right place too.
I think the only two parts that really took me out of the movie was the peanut butter line and Sartain standing up with the mask on. It's a shame he died too. It could have been really interesting to see where that obsession would have ended up as things snowballed. It's not perfect, but man was Michael in top form.
Really loved this movie namely because Michael is returned to being his "pure evil" self with no familial relations to give him a "motivation."

Can we appreciate cris work ethic, he’s put out so many videos the past week and he needs some praise
I can't wait to see the flashbacks in Halloween Kills! Loomis will be awesome.
These videos were so much fun to follow! Can’t wait for Friday!!! You da man Chris!!
I think the main issue with the showdown at the end is just that it feels too long, and it’s not as captivating as the first half was in my opinion.
Whenever Halloween comes around I feel the itch to listen to creepy Podcasts on Spotify and walking around dark trails at night. I suggest y’all to listen to OTIS JIRY’S Scary Stories told in the dark on Spotify. Nobody beats his spooky voice
I’ll look into it!!
I like swap dweller on UA-cam or be busta
This guy seriously owns every Myers mask, I wonder which is his favorite?
Mine is the current one and then Rob Zombies one.
Thanks for making these retro reviews! Seriously sad they’re over.
I just like this version of the mask it feels so nostalgic
As a Jason stan, a horror icon fiend…. After the Rob Zombie Halloweens/Freddy remake/Jason remake (actually liked the Jason) this movie right here made me almost cry how much i loved it 😂😂. If Kills is … let’s say a 7-8/10 this will easily be my fave timeline

On my 2nd Halloween Kills watch and I like it
This series has made me go get much more into your channel and make me go everytime i see a notification from 3C Films, I immediately click on it. Thank you Chris for a funny and great Series! Can’t wait for Halloween Kills and hope this isn’t the end of reviews like this because I need this for Scream! 👍🔪🩸
Im still shook at how good Jamie lee is at playing this role.. she really makes the character Laurie feel so real and alive.
While I'm not the biggest Halloween fan, I still apreciate you doing these awesome reviews 👍. I'm currently binge watching both the nightmare on elm street and Scream franchise just for fun :)
I honestly love that they brought back John Carpenter. Infact I love how a majority of the film they make it feel like a John Carpenter film.

Thank you for the support!
Glad you reviewed this, I like this movie. I’m so excited for Halloween kills
I’m so excited too!!
Loved going on this journey with you. Thanks for all the effort you put into these videos.
No thank you for the support!!
You did such a great review. I originally came for the Chucky remake report’s now I’m in love with this channel
This was the movie that made me invested in Michael Myers again. Glad seeing Jamie Lee Curtis back as Laurie Strode.
We are huge Halloween season guys. We love creating Halloween shows all month long like you. This series you created is the BEST thing in the UA-cam space this season hands down!
It would have been the funniest thing ever if when the dr said “say something”, Michael goes “SOMETHING!” and smushed his head in
No way, the last time Michael spoke was in that abysmal Halloween II from 2009 and all he said was "DIE!!"
I really like this guy. Hes really funny and always has some quirky stuff to throw in there while still making a point to really review the movie. And he always wants to hear the difference of opinion from anyone that has one. Great job 3cfilms👍🤟
I kind of wish halloween 2 was still canon. I'm ok with Michael and Laurie no longer being brother and sister but I really liked halloween 2. At some points even more than the original.
Loved the series, and would love to see you do this again with Spider-Man for No Way Home.
This has been such a fun ride. Definitely one of your best video series cris!👍
I effin love all your horror movie reviews! Halloween, Scream, Child's Play, these are all spot on facts you touch upon. 🎃🎃🎃
Man I sure did have fun watching all of these reviews, thanks Chris!!
I love the "MODERN ERA BITCHES" with the hron in the background now those moments I love I want more of those in your videos man!
Haha I’m hyped for this movie and all these series that are counting down to Halloween kills. Thanks for the all Halloween reviews I watched. cris!!! 🔥🔪🔪🔪🎃
I was so excited when Halloween 2018 came out because it was actually the first Halloween movie I saw in theaters so this movie has a special place in my heart

@@3CFilms holy crap i never thought you would respond!
Watched all of your reviews with my son (he’s 13). He showed me your page, lol. I think you’re right, 2018 Halloween was a great movie. As you said, they could’ve left the brother/sister dynamic (it confused me), but it didn’t kill the movie for me. Looking forward to the next!
In my opinion this is my favourite Halloween film can't wait for Halloween kills
Watched them all! Going to miss looking forward to the next ones when you're done! Maybe you could do a series like this for scream before good ol 5 DaCream! Lol
They should do Halloween at Camp Crystal Lake Michael x Jason crossover.
That would be dope!!
@@3CFilms Thank You
I’m sorry I know it might be the cool thing to pick this movie apart.
@Jarred Knox Apparently you do cause you cared enough to reply :)
Love this movie so much, hands down one of my favorites. I got my tickets for Halloween kills and I’m beyond excited
While I like this movie I find it incredibly overrated but I think Halloween Kills and Ends will be much better.
We shall see!!
It’s a great Halloween movie though 🎃
I don't know how you pump out so many videos in the day but I appreciate it

This was such a funny and amazing ride Chris! Good job! This is probably my favorite Halloween movie.
I am way too excited to watch Halloween kills in a few days! It was really nice to get to watch all of these videos and be refreshed on everything that’s happened in different timelines and this one, I really appreciate it
This was one of my favorite movies!!!
I can't wait for Halloween kills just a few more days untill I see it!!!🎃
I prefer this version as it holds an emotional significance to me. This was the first horror movie I actually saw in the cinema and not on TV. Not only that but it was the first time my aunt took me to the cinema, we both loved it a lot. Sadly she passed away a month ago, she was so excited to see the sequel but I guess some things are just not meant to be.
3 horror videos in one day.. first scream now Halloween, you’re killing it Chris 👍
