Chris I love your channel bro! I'm always looking forward to watch your videos! Did you realize that Jamie Lee Curtis only portrays Laurie strode every 20 years with the franchise? Halloween 1978 Halloween H20 1998 Halloween 2018... Seems like that's the only time they have good storylines lol.
Well according to the comics after Michael was burned he disappeared went back to the hardware store got more masks and then afterwords during Laurie’s high school graduation he tried he tried to attack her again and then he disappeared and went on a killing spree across Illinois for like the next 19 years or so. Also Judith wasn’t 17 at the time of her death that is a misconception Judith was born in 1947 and died in 1963 she would’ve been 15 about to turn 16.
It fits Loomis describing his eyes behind the mask as "the blackest eyes, the devil's eyes." The mask in this sucks because you can see his eyes and they look tired more than anything.
Halloween H20 is one of my favorites in the franchise, especially that ending which would sadly be ruined with Resurrection. Really wish this one was coming to 4K Blu-ray like 1-5 are this week, great video Cris!
The ending scene was filmed by the crew of H20 and was just edited out to either be added back in during the dvd release if it didn’t make enough money theatrically to justify a sequel to add it to a new film. Personally feel that resurrection made H20 better since now Laurie is killing a Ben Schramer type; an innocent person like how the cops did to him since they were both out for blood like the towns people in part 4 when they kill those kids in a bush. Either way it is still the best part of the film either way you look at it. Everything else in h20 is worse than the ending.
This movie had a lot of potential but kind of fizzled in the middle. Still it is one of the better ones in the Halloween series. Really enjoying your videos covering these movies.
@@millyoneyedeaz1350 same!! I watched this last October and the opening got me so hype to watch the rest of the movie… but then it just didn’t get better from there. This movie still has one of my favorite moments in the whole franchise. It's when Laurie sends away everyone and locks the gate. The fantastic crane shot with her holding the axe and screaming Michael with the Halloween theme is just absolute perfection to me!
As a kid I never caught on to the fact that this was supposed to be a retcon, I thought it was just supposed to be after 6 and Laurie only faked her death and separated from Jamie as a way to keep her safe...either way I still love this movie, not as much as I used to but it's still pretty great....also I love how your LL Cool J music is 1000% Busta Rhymes vibes🤣
In my head I always like to believe that is what actually happened. She faked her death and gave Jamie away to protect her not knowing what happened to her later. A couple of years later she would give birth to John but couldn’t bare doing the same thing again. Of course that would probably make Laurie a bad mother but what the heck 😂
Theres more retcons in the Halloween franchise than Terminator... Halloween 2 retconned 1(that theyre bro and sis)... 4 retconned 2(Loomis and Michael dying)... 5 retconned 4(that Jamie was the new killer, had a psychic link w her Uncle and Michael dying again) 6 retconned 5(that Michael was connected to druids) H20 retconned everything other than the first 2(its not merely that she faked her death, cuz this would mean she not only left her orphaned child in Jamie to fend for herself, but that she and the world were ignorant to all his appearances in 4, 5 and 6), then Resurrection retconned that Michael died again... and oddly enough its the most believable one. 4 retconned that he and Loomis blew up, burned to death and had his eyeballs shot out... 5 showed an entire recap of 4 up until the dynamite portion of it and then magically that just didnt happen, 6 he is injected w corrosive liquid and seemingly beaten to death... poof hes seemingly fine in H20. But lets not forget that Halloween 2018 retconned everything other than Halloween 1978 lol Anyone keeping count? Lol

I feel like, in some ways, H20 tackled the effects of Laurie's trauma better than in Halloween 2018. Sometimes H2018 felt too derivative of ideas explored in H20, just multiplied by 10 but not written much better. I appreciate both films, but there's something about H20 and the way that it's cooked in the heat of the 90s post-Scream frenzy that makes it hit different for me!
I look at H20 and I guess Resurrection as being apart of the same timeline as Halloween 4,5,6. It says in this movie that Laurie Strode faked her death. I look at it as she faked her death to get away from Michael, thinking it would save her daughter since Michael wanted Laurie, not Jamie. Makes the timeline less complicated and easier to understand. Just say that after H20 and Resurrection, Laurie survived the attack by Michael and boom, maybe you can fit Halloween 2018 and Kills in there, but haven’t tried yet.
That would've been great although you forget one thing that she had a son. So leave and fake her death to protect the daughter and not the son? With that theory she could've had both her and her daughter "die" in a car accident.
They seemed to have a lot of trouble writing their way around that timeline so they just decided to ignore it. H40 did the same but transitioned it in a great way by debunking some of the what occurred as rumors such as Michael and Laurie being siblings.

With regards to Michael and the mask. They are some of my favourites in the franchise. This Myers is actually taller than Castle. His movements were the closest to the original in my opinion. Also, I don't mind the larger eyeholes on the Stan Winston mask as we no longer have any mystery behind Michael. It's now brother vs sister so it's important to see his eyes when they see each other. I also like that Michael is back to being human just like the original. Marion was able to fight back just like a 17 year old Laurie in the original. H20 is definitely back to basics like the original.

Fun Fact, a scene that got cut from the movie script of H20 actually linked Halloween 6 & H20, the scene was Laurie finding out that her daughter (Jamie) got Killed By Michael Meyers and when Michael comes to kill her and her son (John) Laurie fights back and that’s why the original working title was ‘Halloween 7: The Revenge of Laurie Strode’ but alas they cut it from the script and never filmed the linking scene and changed it to a direct sequel to Halloween II instead of Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Meyers. Sad panda days. 😕😕 I like to think that H20 is a direct sequel to 6 though…
About the car tire issue you complained about. The car had a blowout on one tire. He didn't "burn" through the tires because he apparently drove really far. The car is old and the tires probably were too so having a blowout is pretty common and totally realistic. Just my 2 cents. Otherwise great review 👍 Just watched it again one of my favorites
One of my favorite Halloween sequels and also one of the best horror movies from the 90's, the ending was a perfect conclusion of the franchise, until Resurrection came in unfortunately
2018 wasn't perfect but imagine if they used a freaking CGI mask in that movie lol. My issue is this doesn't feel like a Halloween movie it feels like a 90s slasher. Also the jump scares in this movie are annoying.
I understand these criticisms but you have to admit this movie was enjoyable and a good end to the Halloween movies (just the ones that have Jamie lee Curtis in them). We don’t count “resurrection”.
@@Anthonycheesman33 I guess but the fact that Michael and Laurie are having one final confrontation 20 years later is great and besides this movie is a breath of fresh air but it’s still a Halloween movie that has Laurie decapitate Michael so what more could you ask for.
I definitely feel H20 handled Laurie's character wayyy better than 2018 did. Funny the way she was in 2018 would make more sense for H20 with the brother/sister dynamic & everything she went through in H2 being cannon.
The nostalgia of the 90s my favorite Halloween personally . Entertaining from beginning to end. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 I wonder if 3c will also do Rob Zombie’s versions ! 🔥
Underrated movie of the series. But I just wished they blackened the eyes because Michael is scarier when you don't see his eyes. They actually screen tested all the masks from 1 - 6 with the actor and they didn't fit. They then made a refined version of H6 but they felt people would believe it's a sequel to H6 with the same mask. KNB (company that made H5) made a new mask and it was hated by test audiences (one person even shouted "THAT'S NOT MICHAEL!!!") It's only seen in the trailers and the gate scene but his mask had large cartoony eyes and a big forehead. The mask was so bad they CGId the mask made by Stan Winston over the original shit mask. And of course they reshot most of Michael's scene with a new mask that looked more closer to the original 1978 one.
@@3CFilms actually I think the eye thing worked out well here for the purpose of the last scene when she is about to chop his head off. That look he gave to her was creepy as hell.
You forgot an important callback to Halloween 1, at the end of the movie. Laurie Strodes heavy breathing as the credits start to roll, a apt contrast to when you hear Michaels mask breathing at the end of Halloween 1.
While H20 isn't perfect, it gets a lot right imo. I'm typing this BEFORE seeing Halloween Kills, and right now (Halloween, Halloween 2, and H20) are the definitive timeline imo. I'd LOVE for these new movies to top H20 (and you could make a case for 2018). But Halloween 2 is STILL the 2nd best Halloween film imo. 2018 isn't better than 2. Until the top 2, THIS is the definitive timeline (Halloween, Halloween 2, H20). Of course you just ignore Ressurection though. Laurie chops his head off, the end.
H20 was my first Halloween movie experience as a kid. Watched it with my parents, and while now as a spoiled adult with too much time on my hands to have a mask ranking system, I still love this movie.

@@3CFilms A student made a thesis of what happened to Jamie and how Michael killed her and Laurie in the next scene would have ran into a bathroom to throw up but I guess they felt like keeping this seperate timelines and Laurie suppose to be dead through 4-6 but they could have retcon her fake her death or something.
6:28 There were some pretty good comics set in the H20 continuity showing what Michael was doing in the 20 years between the first 2 films and H20. Some of the stories could make good films in a new continuity after Ends finishes the current one.
I dont comment much but that part in which LLCool J Gets shot and you do the sad rap dance had me laughing so hard I had to pause the review because I fell off my chair . So awsome.
i need a flashback of micheal as a kid behind the wheel of a car on his dads lap showing how he carried that memory with him until the day he just snapped, just something to explain micheal driving
Awesome review man !! :-) The once called " Halloween 7: The Return of Laurie Strode" had "some" references to Jamie Lloyd in the first scripts. I wished they had kept those along the main story of H20, so Laurie both had a son and daugther in it. Still one of my favorites sequels with the 1981 and 1988 ones.
The beginning should of had the nurse truly fighting back. But every hit just breaks the object she uses or doesn’t even effect him. Have it kinda reveal that his is just toying with her. And when she realizes that. That’s when he kills her. Almost like a “there’s absolutely nothing you can do”
Jamie Lee Curtis considers the film a thank you note to her fans. Curtis: "Without that early career, I truly don't think I would have been an actor." Even after 20 years, Jamie Lee Curtis said that seeing Michael Myers on set still scared her. LL Cool J had always been a fan of the Halloween movies. His mother took him to see the original when he was just nine years old. When Jamie Lee Curtis' character says, "go down the street to the Beckers..." this was supposed to refer to the line from Halloween (1978), "go down the street to the McKenzie's house..." The name was changed to Becker, which was the last name of Drew Barrymore's character in Scream (1996). The shortest "Halloween" movie in the series, with a run time of 86 minutes. Michelle Williams signed on without ever having seen any of the Halloween movies. Director Steve Miner also directed two films in another popular horror series: Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) and Friday the 13th Part III (1982). Body Count: 7 (two off-screen) Jamie Lee Curtis refers to the film as "Field of Screams". "If you build it, they will come." Josh Hartnett's first acting project and film debut. Ronny calls Laurie "psycho" as she drives past him when she comes in through the gate. Jamie Lee Curtis' mother Janet Leigh, who appears as Norma in this film, starred in Psycho (1960). During the scene where Norma is leaving, she stands in front of the car from Psycho (1960). The music playing in the background at this part is also from Psycho. Janet Leigh, who plays Norma, played Marion in Psycho. The license plate on the car is also the same as the second car Marion buys in Psycho, NFB 418, which are Norman Bates' initials and lastly, Norma is the first name of Norman Bates' Mother from Psycho. Halloween: H20" is the seventh film in the series. H2O is the chemical symbol for water which has a pH balance of 7.0 Both Nancy Stephens and Joseph Gorden Levitt are dead before their names appear in the opening credits.
I think the reason most fans forgive the call backs in H20 because the first two Halloween movies count. In the Blumhouse trilogy only Halloween 1978 is acknowledged, but they want to copy all the sequels and give a background that only makes sense if all the previous sequels count in the new trilogy. Namely, the fear of Michael. Originally, H20 was supposed to be a softer reboot than what it ended up being with more newspaper references including one that talked about Jamie Lloyd being missing (possibly only erasing, but definitely keeping 4).
Lots of people hate on this movie but it's one of my favorite Halloween movies watching it growing up. Can't say the same for Halloween resurrection. Halloween H20 was one of the first early 2000s Michael Myers movies and I think they did a good job updating the effects and kills. Josh hartnet was an interesting character. It was cool watching how the new generation of teens react to getting attacked by Michael and killed compared to the old movies generation of teens. I watch this movie every year during October. It was when teen slasher flicks were just coming out around the same time as scream, I know what you did last summer etc
I always liked this film! It should have technically ended the franchised, but then they invented the ridiculous "ambulance driver story" to explain Michael's survival. First of all, if the bodies were switched, all the ambulance driver had to do was take off his mask as soon as he woke up.
Pretty sure Chris Durand was the tallest Shape until Tyler Mane. Also, not surprised Miner hated a cool mask, same guy who hates Jason's hockey mask smh. And the "do as I say" line is actually a call back from 1978 when she tells Tommy and Lindsay to get help.
I always wanted to see Halloween H20.5: The Road Trip. 😆 It would have awesome to see Michael's road trip from Illinois to California. He couldn't have gotten there on one tank of gas.
Thank You For Watching!

Well he was saying how it was a long drive for Michael and he like didn't have to get gas of go to the bedroom
I've only ever watched this movie once and I loved it
It's that time of year again 🎃💀👻🦇🧛♂️
Thanks For The Support!
@@3CFilms no problem bro 👍
Man I just got done watching Halloween 2018 man Michale Myers is one of my favorite horror movie man can not wait this October is going to be good
Cant wait for 2018!!
One of my favorite Halloween sequels and also one of the best horror movies from the 90's, the ending was a perfect conclusion of the franchise, until Resurrection came in unfortunately
To me resurrection doesn’t exist so the ending in h20 is the perfect conclusion
@@richardgonzalez1698 i prefer that way too, they should have ended there
2018 wasn't perfect but imagine if they used a freaking CGI mask in that movie lol.
@@richardgonzalez1698 at the time I liked it it's still middle of the franchise for me .they could have done so much more with this movie.
@@Anthonycheesman33 I guess but the fact that Michael and Laurie are having one final confrontation 20 years later is great and besides this movie is a breath of fresh air but it’s still a Halloween movie that has Laurie decapitate Michael so what more could you ask for.
I always felt this film was made purely because of the scream films. Its very 90s
I wonder if 3c will also do Rob Zombie’s versions ! 🔥
glad you’re giving Halloween Water some much needed love. But let’s get back to talking about 5 Cream.
Still one of my favourites!!!
Yes so agree on blacking out the eyes!
@@3CFilms actually I think the eye thing worked out well here for the purpose of the last scene when she is about to chop his head off. That look he gave to her was creepy as hell.
This was alot to take in. But thanks on the information.
"I'm having my nipples pierced"
Wait what?!
Where did u get that Camp Crystal Lake wood thing? It's on your right.
Spirit of Halloween!
Michael Myers likes Water
And Jason doesn’t!
haha!
Jason doesn’t care about water. He’s a zombie he doesn’t care about anything. That was a bullshit stupid plot point added in Freddy vs Jason.
I liked the movie in general, except Michaels weird revealing eyes.
Spooktober
Loved your review. H20 is one of the best in the franchise in that it offered a definitive conclusion to the brother/sister storyline.
The brother/sister storyline ended with H2, H20 sucks and it doesn't exist.
And this movie was suppose to bridge the gap of mentioning what happened to Jamie in 4, 5 and 6.
So true, wonder how they would of mentioned Jamie
@@3CFilms A student made a thesis of what happened to Jamie and how Michael killed her and Laurie in the next scene would have ran into a bathroom to throw up but I guess they felt like keeping this seperate timelines and Laurie suppose to be dead through 4-6 but they could have retcon her fake her death or something.
6:28 There were some pretty good comics set in the H20 continuity showing what Michael was doing in the 20 years between the first 2 films and H20. Some of the stories could make good films in a new continuity after Ends finishes the current one.
Nothing beats talking about... RED LIIIIIIGGGHHHTTTTTT!
This is a masterpiece
I dont comment much but that part in which LLCool J Gets shot and you do the sad rap dance had me laughing so hard I had to pause the review because I fell off my chair . So awsome.
i need a flashback of micheal as a kid behind the wheel of a car on his dads lap showing how he carried that memory with him until the day he just snapped, just something to explain micheal driving
LOVE THESE plz do another franchise after this plz! Like Friday the 13th or idk just something like that lol
9:04 Imagine Michael just falling asleep in the car.
I always thought something was just off with this movie.
Now, thanks to this video, I know I was right all these years.
Hey bro I begging you after this series can u consider doing a Friday the 13th series as well
I love your Halloween videos there amazing
I remember my movie audience cheering when Laurie Grabbed the Axe.
Me remember me Chris I miss the part that’s my problem also I love this video
Awesome review man !! :-) The once called " Halloween 7: The Return of Laurie Strode" had "some" references to Jamie Lloyd in the first scripts. I wished they had kept those along the main story of H20, so Laurie both had a son and daugther in it. Still one of my favorites sequels with the 1981 and 1988 ones.
The beginning should of had the nurse truly fighting back. But every hit just breaks the object she uses or doesn’t even effect him. Have it kinda reveal that his is just toying with her. And when she realizes that. That’s when he kills her. Almost like a “there’s absolutely nothing you can do”
movie screwed Myers return/background but i like the boarding school setting thing brung in from Laurie changing her identity & stuff.
Which rapper do you like better
LL Cool J or Busta Rhymes?
LL cool j was way more subtle
@@3CFilms more acting experience as well!
Jamie Lee Curtis considers the film a thank you note to her fans. Curtis: "Without that early career, I truly don't think I would have been an actor."
Even after 20 years, Jamie Lee Curtis said that seeing Michael Myers on set still scared her.
Body Count: 7 (two off-screen)
Jamie Lee Curtis refers to the film as "Field of Screams". "If you build it, they will come."
Josh Hartnett's first acting project and film debut.
H2O is the chemical symbol for water which has a pH balance of 7.0
Both Nancy Stephens and Joseph Gorden Levitt are dead before their names appear in the opening credits.
Michael Myers in Fast and Furious:
Dom: it’s all about family.
Michael: yeah no, I totally get it dude. Tell me about it.
My favorite mystery is "Who,without getting murdered, taught Michael how to drive?" I wanna see a video short of this period of time in the ward
I have a love for this movie. Idk why I like it, I just enjoy the idea of it. Mike comes back to look for his sister Lori. Great video Cris!
Certified Greg moment.
The Michael trip montage is the best part of this video. It should have been in the movie.
This is one of my favorite Halloween movies
I’m feeling ur decorations Chris!! Love it man
4 Michael Myers movies to go before Halloween Kills, man. I'm looking forward to all of them. 👍👍
Your Halloween videos are really good
Means so much to me thank you!!
Most underrated Halloween sequel although it didn't have that actual Halloween feel to it that even the lesser sequels had it.
I’ve never really cared about the mask tbh but Halloween 4 has always stood out to me. Everything else is passable.
I can see Mikey sad astronauting that road trip specially for Laurie
this movie had the best Ending EVER and i wouldnt mind if in Halloween ends they end it in the exact same way
8:56 I like the attention to detail the masks changing 😂
I always wanted to see Halloween H20.5: The Road Trip. 😆 It would have awesome to see Michael's road trip from Illinois to California. He couldn't have gotten there on one tank of gas.
I can’t with you play , mama said knock you out when LL came back 😭
I absolutely love this movie
Great movie!
I freaking looooved Halloween H20 as a kid because it wasn't even scary and it gave me a Scream vibe and it actually had Scream in the Movie 😂
This is the second comment this vid is funny keep up the good work chris
