@@frankkawa2469not at all same concept done worse if you ask me especially the demon scene at the end looked super fake compared to the first. Other then joels 5minute intro (which was amazing by the way wish we got his story instead) the movie was almost exact copy and paste other then the obvious ending.
@@ericmorrow4040i think the second one portrayed trauma in such a crazy good way though especially thanks to naomi's performance and it made me really fall in love with the concept while the first one fell flat for me
@@miragrace0 yea I agree they definitely did a better job with the whole trauma aspect but the main thing I hated about the 2nd one was the whole what’s real and what isn’t I get that’s a part of the disease when your possessed but in the 1st movie it wasn’t until the very end that she was hallucinating the whole house on fire scene while the 2nd film was like the whole 2nd & 3rd act wasn’t real that just completely ruined it for me.
This film made me fall in love to horror movies again. Love the craft and dedication that is put into this movie and it is better than the first movie. Let's see if we'll have Smile 3 and I'm excited for that
The first Smile had me so scared at points that I was hiding under my shirt. The second one has been on my mind ever since I saw it. I've seen it now three times in the cinema. Everyone has their favorite horror series, whether it's Nightmare or Halloween or Chucky. This is my series. 😃
the scene of skys evil smile self where it comes out of her looked so good on screen but i love the way you guys had used a whole dummy and the entity’s hands? it’s so cool!
Every scene I see of this movie is so fucking haunting and uncomfortable... seeing her hair ripped out and then shoving a hand down her throat... Jesus Christ. I can even feel the terror of the scene with her mom breaking the glass
@ there is don’t get me wrong but it would’ve been interesting to follow someone who got away with getting rid the smile curse, only one other person had done it but they went to jail. Joel could’ve been used in another movie to help out a new character, and he would have to deal with the fact that the curse spread further cause of him
You don't have idea how long I've been waiting for a Behind the scenes for this movie 😂 loved the BTS from the first one, that even showed the composer recording the scary sounds
Naomi deserves the Oscar no matter what the genre and the effects team was so good too. The direction was so slick! What a sequel! Are there a lot of deleted scenes? I always enjoy reincorporating them into movies.
they really could do laura's story in a prequel, like.. she was a PHD student , so i think she investigated the curse too there so many possibilities, they really could make laura's story to connect to the first movie it will be nice
I just had a Smile marathon and both movies were such a trip! Smile 2 and The Substance, best horror films of the year hands down. Naomi Scott was unreal in this one
omg i’m so exhausted after watching this movie, naomi give crazy performance, made me a fan of the fictional artist skye riley, lol! and parker finn doing a very good job with this movie! Best horror movie 2024 so far! even better than the first movie!
Parker is such an inspiration to me cause he's doing what I'm trying to do right now! I'm trying to make my own short film that's compelling enough to get picked up like how Smile was. And I love how humble Parkers upcoming is and how passionate he is about this series.
I honestly had lots of fun watching this movie. I absolutely ADORED the jumpscares and there was a point where I genuinely felt like Skye was one of many celebrities who are vilified by the media just because they're struggling with mental health issues. Like, evil metaphysical being aside, there are many Skyes out there and people don't spare an ounce of sympathy. The press turns their lives and horrors into a circus, just to sell newspapers or gain views on TikTok. It's sad.
I saw the 2 films b2b. When i finished watching smile 1, I wondered how the sequel is gonna work. Coz the doctor already found the mystery and solution to her problem but suffered the same fate of other victims. But in the sequel, director makes the story more interesting by making the main lead a celebrity and adding a backstory. I love how Skye made millions of witnesses in the end. If smile 3 happens, its gonna be so grandeur
Honestly Parker Finn is i can say is talented director I was impressed of him he directed first smile and Smile 2 was like what incredible of the sequel 👏👏⚡❤️. So outstanding For director Parker Finn and Naomi Scott great actress
Na cena onde a Skye está na sessão de fotos aproximadamente nos 30 minutos de filme, eu tenho a sensação que o Diretor fez uma participação no filme o fotógrafo é muito idêntico! Alguém teve a mesma impressão??
I don’t really get how people are claiming the 2nd smile was better I’m not denying that Naomi did a great job but it’s literally the same story but I think done worse they do the “is this real, is it not” too much to a point that was not like the 1st one they did it the perfect amount in this it’s like the whole 3rd chapter of the movie never happened while in the 1st it was just the ending scene which I really liked and the smile demon reveal at the end was done sooo much better in the 1st movie then the 2nd it looked super fake.
But I will say joels first 5minute intro in smile 2 was some of the best filming and story pacing I’ve ever seen I sooo wish they didn’t kill him and have this movie be his story Kyle gallner is such an underrated actor loved his scene.
I have the view that the ending of Smile 2(the concert) was a hallucination and she is in the freezer. That actually makes more sense than the idea of her being in a trance and nothing being really for like two weeks.
The second part is nice but I liked the first part more. In the second part there is a scene that I didn't like which is when people appeared in Sky's room and chased her. If the scene was of one person chasing her it would have been better.
Writer and director, Parker Finn didn't want heroines to beat the demon in his Smile movies. It would have been great if Skye could defeat it and she survived.
Showing someone cutting her face but censoring a bad word is just funny to me
I immediately noticed that 😆the irony.
Cause still in 2024 cursing is the worst thing u can do😂
Wrd2😭
RIGHT!?
i was about to comment about demonitization on bad words but showing a person cutting their face also counts as demonitization lmao
smile 2 was by far better than the first one, I just can't explain it, the vibes are so amazing.
Thank Naomi for that. Such a great performance.

Best sequel ever made to a movie!! Movie of the year!!!! A pure masterpiece!!!!

Parker Finn is so talented. Such a great movie with super inventive ideas.
naomi scott knocked it out of the park. probably my favorite performance this year. that car accident scene still haunts me!
I love that the film explored trichotillomania - there are few films that have shown this, and it was done rather well here.
Best horror movie in 2024
Hollywood, gave Naomi Scott a Oscar
She nailed it 💗
3:29 love the jack torrance attire
Skye is such a good character, she deserved to break the cycle
Smile 3 Next

6 days later. Entity is back with a bang on smile. An elevated sequel to an already masterpiece. Congrats to the team.
Just watched this movie in the theaters and I love it!
The way they timed the audio cutting out with the jump to Skye pulling her hair out at 2:45 actually scared tf out of me 💀
personally they should’ve kept Joel alive or have a spin off with him, but the movie still turned out great
I thought it was a great irony that Joel was so focused on surviving the curse that what ended up killing was a random car crashing into him.
Dude skye Riley made 1000s of witnesses by her death. So there plenty of room for Stories.

Maybe but I'm more interested in what happens after smile 2 and finding a way to beat the curse for good.
The problem with a prequel is that it’s gonna be the exact same movie again and we know exactly what was happening to laura anyways
@@friedrice7876 We would satisfied if Skye could've beaten the demon.
