I just relocated last year after 9 years in Nigeria. I love that country with her craziness, laughter, odd characters and mental attitude. If the government can but the people first and provide 24/7 electricity, half of the economic issues would be resolved. Overall, I am very proud to be a Nigerian.

What I like particularly is how everyone will just stroll across the road, even multi-lane highways, with a complete disregard for traffic. That's the way to do it!

@@Ludo_Liu I will so much enjoy it. I lived in Sabo-Yaba, Little Road, before I left Lagos. It's such a wonderful area. We had almost everything close by: about four petrol stations close by, banks, about four; supermarket, about four; Ozone Cinema, Yaba Market, Sabo Market, Makoko fish market; police station, health care centre; three military barracks; I can go on and on. It's one of the best place to live in Lagos in my view - very central. Few minutes away from the Island, once you cross the 3rd mainland bridge. Every other place is easily accessible from Yaba. It's such a nice place.

Your videos are phenomenal. Your ahead of the game. I’ve been wanting to watch immersive, real-time video for along time. I think the only thing that could make this type of video better is having the camera follow you around as you adventure, explore off the beaten path urban nooks and crannies of the city, while talking to people, and taking adventurous little breaks from the driving.

Yes. Festac town was so much better, cleaner and a very prestigious place to live. Now seeing it it's gone so bad. I can't believe how bad it is. What a shame. I haven't been back to Lagos in over 30 years and seeing how things are now it's gone bad from what I could remember. Seeing people hawk in the streets, hustling and bustling trying to make ends meet is so heartbreaking. I cannot imagine how people survive daily.

Hey thanks again! Really appreciate seeing Festac & was taken aback at my not recognising it! I kept rewinding to see if I'd at least recognise something but didn't, especially as I frequently visited close friends there over many years...well, many years ago. Even the link bridge & beyond seemed new to me.
I defo won't be doing Lagos/Badagry express way on my road trip with you...crazy!!! 😅😅😅 Also know people that lost their lives on it, especially running into the back of parked danfos and lorrys at night because they left no reflectors to indicate parked vehicles🙄
As an aside, every time I share your vids, my fam/friends immediately comment on the length of them... Might be an idea to split them into smaller sections. For instance, this could easily have been 4/5 separate videos. 1. Backstreets of the expressway. 2. Lagos/Badagry expressway. 3. Festac 4. After Festac to end👍🏾. Shorter vids & more views😊

Good evening Madam ! thanks to be back here and for taking time to drop a comment !
I really won't do that badagry express by night, yes would be kind of a suicidal adventure, i like adventure, but these with a good ending.
About the lenght of the video, i really can understand that. I will keep doing that kind of long trip videos, cause i think sometimes people like to take time to immerse themselves, but for sure i am now thinking of another type of video to add on a new format. would maybe be around 10 to 15 minutes.
Shorter videos doesn't means more views all the time... you know youtube is mostly working with an algorithm that promotes or not your videos. without good stats, it won't promote you.... then... longer video by instance have longer watch time then better stats, in some cases.
However i really understand your point and your friends comment, they may see in the coming week another type of video coming with a shorter length. hopefully... i'll find time to work on that. this is really time consuming.

Still won't do the expressway in daytime! They almost knocked you over twice, not to mention the other crazy near run ins! 🤯
I don't know much about UA-cam algorithms, but I understand the time investment as I'm sitting on a host of my travel vids that I haven't had time to edit/post.
Glad your going to have different types/vid length though! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

@@kolaAlakija that is a proper bike ! the bike i was dreaming about when i was a child ! the CBR 600 RR ! the bike i like to drive everyday is the africa twin 750 ! here in africa it goes everywhere, on asfalt on sand, on bumpy roads... I was driving a sport bike back in europe, i had a GSXR 750 the first SRAD, then also a R1.... but in here i really prefer my small Okada, i can park it anywhere, without being afraid to loose it , then the best remains the Africa twin rd 07 to me... that bike is just a road killer it just goes anywhere, and is never faulty ! I will drive it between nigeria and europ this summer if the covid allows me to do so...

A slum in the megacity. What a shame. "Opposite people" thinks Lagos is beautiful. I don't buy the lie. I see the reason life expectancy is below 60 years in Nigeria..
