So glad you did VI. Lived on Akin Adesola in the 90s, when Frenchies was all that! Used to get the boat from the jetty on Ozuba Imbadiwe to get to Tarkwa Bay (when Tarkwa Bay was a haven with Atlas and Light house beaches with chalets). Went from the late 70s to mid 90s. I hear it's now terrible, loud and packed.
Great to be back bike-seeing, although for the second time in years, I had to take a break from this vlog cos the sound of the bike droning (white noise) for such a long period became rather soporific.
There were some mechanical repairs near the Korammo water, these were all my guys. Ogu and Gyeko and Adjagboro were the contractors there 😂😂😂😂😂, please if you know these guys give their number I will call them to just surprise them😂😂😂😂. My best friend Athor from Liberia,
Watching a football match on TV interferes a little while watching your video, but it seems that playing football on the street also disrupts your driving in Lagos. 🙂
Tell us some of the smells you smell. Good or bad. Great cities have both. Maybe diesel, or maybe the grilling of a nearby food vendor? Can you smell the sea?
8:11 city structures know in an country to have facilities for vehicles, footpaths, parking nd economic activities corresponds. . Apartments are there, stores are there, passage of vehicles. Why there are no retail shops?
@Ludo_Liu no! I told you i on the back side on your moto. How do people buy, cause the shops are either on main highway nd at mains points of the cities, wherbly in india you will find for regular items shops are on the streets nd on the roads.
Modern Lagos with an evident poor drainage channels as the city gets massively flooded every time it rains. Sanwo-Olu, you have your job cut out to address this seeming perennial problem. Some parts of the roads are broken and also needs resurfacing.
Generally, Naija people like to moan and complain about baad leaders and the bad governance and the bad economy ! But the majority of the personal cars on Lagos roads are brand new! Some 10 to 12 years ago, na "Tokunboh" old jalopy naim fill the whole place! Something is definitely happening, but people aren't taking full cognisance of it! A sign of better things to come! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!
@@chinomsoosuagwu9128 Not a true reflection cos the likes of taxi drivers,Fisher men,bar workers, waiters and waitresses, tarven workers, builders, hawkers, vendors e.t.c are regarded as unemployed cos they are not registered on the UIF system hence SA has the highest unemployed people but it doesn't mean those people are not working I mean we have more that 1 million taxi drivers alone but they classified as unemployed and that is why they also earn the unemployment monthly grant of R350,so the unemployment rate is south Africa is not a true reflection but if you don't stay in SA you won't understand and there is a big difference between SA🇿🇦 poverty and other African countries Poverty,SA people in poverty have access to monthly grants, free services and best infrastructure, your country is not even in the top 10 developed countries in Africa
How do you cover vi without covering 1004, the most popular estate on the entire Island? You would need to start at mobil, and end at the federal ministry of education to really cover all of VI.. Also, the second part of your video is not Victoria Island, rather that is Lagos Island, there is a big difference between the two.
1004 was famous 30 years ago, it is now just a old rusty compound with a lot of malfunction. I don't understand why it remains iconic in the mind of people. it is really not interesting, this is just a old condo like you can find in thousand of cities.
@@Ludo_Liu Oh you are so correct. But you forgot that it is not about showing 1004. It is about showing what 1004 looks like to those who grew up there and those who frequently visited there. Trust me as someone who grew up there that would really blow up your viewership, because too many people could not stay away from the estate who did not even live there. It was that popular, and the memories of the place still has an impact.
yes, hope this video can reach a lot more !!! thank you very much for your kind superchat once more, and your constant support ! you make all of this possible
you have shown your viewers alot of this bad areas aint you tired for many times u have done this routes, now can you also go and show them the beautiful estates environment . or u dont have access to drive to those rich estates.
Lagos with its very large population has very narrow roads. Abuja is the best. Very large, beautiful and modern streets. Abuja buildings are also painted and new, while Lagos is old and unpainted.
Where are the over 20 million people in lagos? Obviously where the richest people stay. Statistically, lagos is the largest economy In Africa but on the ground it look like a city that just ended a war. Look’s completely third world. Not a single fancy street or building to wow anyone especially when compared to cities like port Luis in Mauritius, Harare in Zimbabwe, Windhoek in Namibia or even Nairobi in Kenya. I don’t want to mention South African cities
For a person who OBVIOUSLY hasn’t been to Nigeria let alone Lagos, your soul is bitter and pained, take it elsewhere. Btw remain in your sh**h*le country, we don’t need the likes of you.
@@joye5761 He is telling the truth based on this video. Look at the streets, you can see a lot of garbage with dilapidated roads. Yes, it's a third world country accept it. Nigeria's economy is already overtaken by South Africa with 375 billion dollar followed by Egypt with 345 billion dollar. Your GDP per Capita dropped from 2,085 to 1,400.
@@Feroxx65 That is a projected GDP which changes every week., s/a has not overtaken Nigeria or egypt. in GDP ppp terms nigeria and egypt leads by far, devaluation caused egypt and Nigeria to temporary shrink in dollar terms. s/a is the only economy shrinking without any devaluation.
