Mine is chronic, part of other problems, and your example is the only one I could find showing how to tape the Gluteus Medius, including trigger points. No drama, no fluff, just a straight-forward demonstration.
I'm grateful you shared this as I usually have to experiment until I get it right, or right enough.

Yes! Thats the exact spot where I need this. Thanks, at least now I know the name area. I kept seeing back taping and hip but those areas were off. Thank you for the information

I have referral from this to the trochanter bursa. Is there a trigger point to decompress this? Thanks

You'll find the trigger points by probing, which is often how physios find it:
Press and move around until you find the exact spot(s), then put a sticker on it (or on them), and you'll have it. Make sure the area is clean, dried with 90+ isopropyl alcohol.
If you have a scratch, a mole, any other obstruction, here in America, there is something called "Butt Paste," which is used for diaper rash as well as for feeding tubes and such, just "a light dab" directly on the mole or whatever, then tape as usual.
And if you've never taped before, do a sample of 5" x 2.5" or so where you can easily get to it, if you have a bad reaction as some people do.
Remember, if it's possible, you want to put the body part you're going to tape "on stretch," instead of too much stretch on the tape.
I have to tape both knees, although the right one is worse, for knee bursitis brought on by hip misalignment, and an injury.
      Good luck!
