Can definitely use the same rig with less expensive lights.
50 dollars for a rig is really cheap. this is a very smart solution. And he is using super high quality lights which in the end is the difference maker on your production value--- as light is THE MOST IMPORTANT part of any production.

Very cool idea, but I would use just the backdrop stands to set the Quasars so no extra cost if you already have backdrop stands. I’d love to use Quasars or some other tubes for music videos, but they’re at insane price!! 🤣 we would need like 5 of them so it would set us back like 2,5k euros! 😂😂😂
You should change the title to “stands for under 50 bucks” but, the lighting will cost. I get it, it’s a cool way for people to want to watch. There are these light strips you can attach to the pvc and actually make this for under 100.

Wait, $500 lights on a jenky stand? Not very bright, especially if you don't glue or screw the joints together. Why not use the black waste pipes? Much more sturdier and save time from having to wrap them.
