Great clip. Thank you so much for sharing this. Such class then... wow.
Doris Day was gorgeous!! RIP
I sent her birthday wishes, every year, from her 90th birthday, until her death at 97!
The Defiant Ones and Gigi has great cinematography.
Doris was a classy gal!
Rock 🤩
Well deserved win for the Defiant Ones. ;) I dont Think the Picture was great itself, buut the tography wasfine and beatiful, I enyoid that tography! ;D
John Hall in the movie “Hurricane” was Rock’s inspiration for becoming an actor, and there they are on stage together..
Did you notice the tan that Hall had? I believe that he actually grew up in Hawaii or Tahiti!
Vertigo should be nominated.
Same with Touch of Evil.
I saw that movie when it was new & didn't care for it, but I was only 11 years old!
1:04 Doris Day says: “congratulations mr leavitt ” but that wasn’t Sam Leavitt ! 🤦🏼♀️😳 it’s Mr. John hall. CINEMATOGRAPHY (BLACK-AND-WHITE)
WINNER
THE DEFIANT ONES
Sam Leavitt
Touch of Evil should of won instead of The Defiant Ones.
Why did they have separate b/w & color awards, in the first place?
@@rongendron8705Because there were two types of cinematography for films back then, black-and-white and color. They merged it into one category when black-and-white cinematography became less frequent and color became more prominent.
