I really want to see Anthony Carrigan in more things. He took a character that was supposed to die episode 1 and turned him into the fan favorite character.
I just watched the first episode of season 4. I must’ve missed the episode and season three where Hank gets out of jail and he and Cristobal end up safely back in the United States. I want to go back and watch that episode without having to watch the entire season three again.
100% agree. He needs to play more like well written and rich criminal characters. I think he can play the subversive take of those characters really well. But also I would love to see him in something completely unexpected and out of left field.
@@robertpaulsimpson6266 Apparently Blood Meridian is being made into a movie and the Judge sounds like someone with Alopecia. But I agree. I’d love for him to play someone really random. He does seem typecast as villains, but apparently he likes playing villains.
Ikr?! And he improvised those few lines and they were so perfect and funny! It made me feel like he must have had so much to do with creating the whole character that is Hank 😊
That's the main reason they kept him around instead of killing him off the first episode. Insanely talented and hilarious with his improv skills. I swear he made Bill break character the most of anyone on the show.

This is a great interview, with different questions that I haven't heard elsewhere. I'm sure it was appreciated by the actors, especially during a press junket when they have to answer the same questions all the time.
Anthony Carrigan freestyling as Hank advocating air hockey (24.46) is the defining moment of this interview. Holy smokes. We need a NoHo Hank spinoff STAT! 😀
I'm so happy that Bill talks again about Andrzej Wajda! Greetings from Poland 🤓 'Ashes and Diamonds' (based on novel) is a masterpiece of polish classical cinema style era (after WWII) with a broken character type (and iconic actor, Zbigniew Cybulski).

This was a joy to watch. Bill being Bill is always great. Sarah is so well spoken and seems to have a deep understanding of the characters and their motivations. An analytical mind. Anthony Carrigan is definitely my favorite on the show. Monroe was great as Milton and great here too! And the Fonz...what a humble, lovable guy! Robert was so good at projecting an air of danger and focus. It was almost terrifying.
The scene where Jim confronted Gene in the garage made me realize I actually do have the ability to appreciate art in film. I can’t explain it but it made me feel something.

I cried the last episode. Hader, Carrigan, Goldberg, and Winkler should have all won awards. I think Sarah Goldberg was unbelievably good. Best in the show.
Saeson four was a great ending. But my biggest disappointment in this finale was the fact that it was the end. I'm gonna miss Bill's great story tellings.
Its funny that Henry Winkler can be so humble after playing and developing one of the greatest characters of all time on Happy Days. He was literally like a rock star for almost a decade. What a great guy.

Great show and equally great interviews. You asked very thoughtful and specific questions that were far deeper than the usual “how was in to work with The Fonz”. Well done!
