GREAT interview Josh! I liked Hader already, but after watcing 'Barry' (yes, I'm late to the party) I'm floored by his TRUE art. Congrats, keep it up! 💯💯💯
Have loved Bill’s work for ages. I love Barry and can’t quite pinpoint all of the reasons why I love it (except that it’s awesome). I love how it’s shot, I love the pace of the storyline and I love how flawed and entertaining the characters are. I almost don’t want to watch the final episode cause then it’ll be over 😂😢 Would really love to see a movie from Bill. Thank you Josh, you always do such a great job interviewing Bill.
Barry is one of the most COMPLETE television series made. It's hard to describe what I mean by that, but it just has something of everything, and every episode is made with such craft, from the writing to directing to acting to editing. It's extraordinary.
Barry is one of my favorite shows, I've been watching since the first episode premiered when I was 18, I'm now 23 and accidentally fell into the world of acting, Kinda like Barry did just minus all the crime... This show inspires me to pursue my new found passion in acting... I don't think I would be the same person without it, Bill really inspires me as a person, his writing, his craft, his comedy chops, his directing... I've only been an extra in a movie, one of the main actors in a commercial and helped a few buddies with their short films, But I truly will say one day if I do acheive my goals of getting on more projects, Bill Hader and Barry was a big catalyst for me taking the plunge into wanting to be an actor, and if I reach at least 1% of the pure talent Bill Hader has I think i would be able to say I reached my goals and I'm proud of myself for pursuing something I finally have a passion for... Thank you Bill for what you do truly... Seems like every season it comes back in a important time in my life when I need it most and am lost...
let bill hader direct more movies and shows, he's one of the greatest i really hope to see him write more amazing and compelling stories. it was a great interview!
Barry is one of the best TV series of all time for my taste. It’s like the most Psychedelic show of all time without the corny visuals but the way things unfold. So much creativity and bold direction
W ostatnich wywiadach wygląda na bardzo zmęczonego. Najpierw ciężka praca nad finałowym sezonem serialu, teraz jego promocja - to może być wyczerpujące.
watching nope in the theater had me unnerved at parts. watching the final season of barry in my living room made me feel almost sick to my stomach from some of the scenes. i think these two combined would put me in a grave
Before Barry, I thought that Bill Hader was the guy who couldn't keep it together on SNL My mind was changed watching Barry. He is reminiscent of Robin Williams, in that he is incredibly funny , but when in a dramatic roll he blows your mind! I can't wait to see what comes next!
It makes me so happy to hear that Bill showed his kids the movie Clifford (1994). I've always loved that movie and most people trash it, so I'm glad he's a fan too!
Really enjoying this series of interviews. Barry was a great series and I'm hoping one day I get to see them in order 🤷🏼 as I don't have the right streaming channel.
His face conveys the s4 vibes quite well... you see the guy has gone on a heavy journey since the series began, and covid made it that much harder. Love his work and how he has grown as an artist/director/etc since snl
I only just caught 'Angry Birds' for the very first time this week. Thanks, Bill, for recent podcasts and interviews (love your work 💞). Cheers, Josh for the interview.
When I first heard about this show, because I didn't start watching until the second season was almost done then I decided to watch a couple of the First episodes in season 1 and I got hooked, reason I didn't jump on board right away because I thought it was going to be just a silly goofy Bill Hader comedy, turns out Barry is legit badass😅
i like listening to him say he doesn't want the violence and killing to be funny- but i find the ending of season three and that whole shootout to be just the funniest shit lol
Marvel or DC or StarWars should really hire Hader as director for one of their movies. He's a gifted inspired director with a very unique eye which lends itself well to action scenes.
Great discussion! I would like to suggest talking about mental health resources for veterans of war; betterhelp and the VA crisis line. The state of U.S. mental health in general is not great so talking about what is available is really important too.
I know exactly what he means with the longer no-cut scenes. We’ve gotten accustomed to the quick cuts for everything. Ffs in “Taken” there’s 15 cuts to jump a fence. I blame TikTok and UA-cam for shortening brain activity to 10 second intrivals for so many. Few can actually appreciate the long take that just sits on a situation to let it sink in. It’s all about “what’s next?!!!!”. Fucking brain damage of the human race. Fucking love Barry. Probably the best finale I’ve ever seen. Every storyline, character, and every minute detail had an ending. I literally binge watched it twice. Just perfect.
Bill Hader is married with children and directing and acting in LA? AND he seems like the nice guy YES MAN who finishes last but finishes well. Looking forward to his next thing. RELATED TO CARROL BuRNETT!
These type of executives is literally what is turning Star Wars into a dead franchise, I can’t wait to see the look on disneys face once they realize their damage is done and to late to try and fix things, rip
I get where he's coming from I really do. However that said something has always deterred me about celebrities and their autographs. $2,000 changed my life, $2,000 landed me a car, which turned into mobility which turned into me going to college that I could finally commute to, which turned into me now being 2 years away from a Master's in psychology. $2,000 saved and changed my life in profound ways that $2,000 was received during covid. Now for my point celebrities have that life-changing power in the palm of their hands. If I had half of that power I'd be signing random s*** and sending it to random people I see on Facebook who look like they're in a rough spot with a little note that specifically tells them to sell it and to use that money to improve their lives. Just in the way that meager $2,000 changed mine.
So I only looked at it cause the NY post, posted an article, that you in the video said you blanket don’t sign cause of a guy used his kid to get the autograph to sell it online. You can judge that as you may. But times are tough he probably used the money he sold it for to buy his kid clothes and food and maybe an a occasional toy. I don’t know if you know this but in the real life it’s hard to survive out here and I’m in the army for almost 20 years, and so ok for myself but still struggle. If I found a way to get my son to get autographs to make more money so I can give my son a better life. I would. Signing something takes so little effort, you could have bought that kid Christmas presents that year and you don’t even know it. Get rid of that stubbornness and don’t blanket punish or judge people. You don’t know who you could be saving or helping that day. It’s such a simple gesture … just do it.
You know you're not actually talking to Bill, right? He will never read this. Also... he doesnt have to do a damn thing if he doesn't want to. Grow up.
@@DanJackson1977 well aware my dude, I knew there was a 99.99999% he never sees it. But I took the chance anyway kinda like the point of what I wrote, you don’t know who’s life you could have a positive affect on that day. Sometimes it’s Bill Hader, sometimes it’s helping a troll get a hard on he hasn’t gotten from a woman in ten year. I’m just here for the people. Ur welcome guy…. Enjoy the day 🤷🏻♂️
I did not like the ending of the show. I think Albert should have paid Barry a visit and talked Barry into turning himself in after Barry woke up to find Sally and John gone from the bed they all slept in the night before. Jean gets cleared of all charges. Barry goes to jail. Gets a reduced sentence. Reunites with Sally and John. Gets a dog and does one man plays at the dog park. Gets acclaim. Reunites with Sally and John. Friends for life. Family trip to Sweden. Top of airplane rips off like a pop top and the whole family gets sucks out into outer space. The End.
@anthos332 the plots all over the place. They turned Barry into a joke. Season 3 with Sally as the main focus. Trash. Season 4 is all over the place and I think the plot sucks. Then Barry into an informant then with 2 or 3 episodes left all of a sudden he has a kid with Sally lol. Horrible
Thanks for watching! What do you think of BARRY and Bill Hader? Comment below! And make sure to subscribe to watch all of my chats!

In love with Bill Hader as a director. Need to see this man direct a movie, hopefully movies.
It’s confirmed he’s directing his own horror movie that he would star in
He does have wicked taste!
You’re in love with Bill Hader😮?
Fuck. Im afraid of horrors
Ooo Andrzej Wajda! Uznał nas!
It's amazing the amount of talent Hader has. He can do comedy and drama equally well.
Vinnie Vedecci😅

Have you thought about taking an all around approach like Hader? I feel like your comment shows some writing skills. You are so so sincere.
@@LitterboxKing agreed!
This show has taken some of his life, and I respect him for letting it.

OMG!!! SO HAPPY! THIS IS GONNA BE EPIC! LOOOVE BILL HADER AND BARRY!!! THANK YOU JOSH FOR THIS AMAZING INTERVIEW!!! SO EXCITED!
Barry is a masterpiece of television. My wife and I are always telling friends to give it a try.
barry’s been well shot all along but last week’s episode was insanely good, every single shot stood out. loved the rain man integration.
"... that's us" stephen root being a shining star, as aways lmao
Bill looks like he just woke up but also he’s still hot

truer words have never been spoken
Imagine Peele and Hader directing a horror together!

The new season and especially the latest ep is incredible.
Bill being a collector of physical media makes him even more attractive to me.
Love Bill Hader ❤️
I love that he's mentioned Mystery Science Theater 3000 several times in interviews ❤
great interview josh, love hader!

Aw he likes Kes! Absolute gem of a film set in my home county ❤️
I love this genius of a man!❤
Ty excellent capture of an interview of a Genius mind. Thoughtful banters. ❤

he likes dogs, collects physical media and he is in love with movies he is my dream man
Season 4 is brilliant, can’t wait to see where it goes.
What happened in Episode 5 though ?! It's like he had a stroke.
Hader is a total genius ! Barry is top notch TV.
I'd really like to meet Mr. Hader.
Dog, such a good series of questions and responses, what more could a fan want from an interview with a mind like this. Seriously though.
I love this man
Bill Hader reminds me of David Lynch. Both great directors.
Really enjoying this series of interviews. Barry was a great series and I'm hoping one day I get to see them in order 🤷🏼 as I don't have the right streaming channel.
Thanks for ALL Bill

The episodes have always felt longer than 30 minutes.
He seems so exhausted and tired!

I want to know what Bill thought of the editing in Bohemian Rhapsody lmao
I love you Bill Hader
Did bill toot at 16:15?
Def a hader toot
How is it that you only have 45k subs when you get interviews with literally the biggest people in Hollywood on the regular. What the hell.
I wonder if Bill has ever seen, The Loved One, from 1965. Quite a cast. Wild and weird.
Wow. Bill Hader and Karl Pilkington are both big fans of the film Kes.. I wonder if Bill enjoys The Elephant Man and On the Buses as well.
They should spin off Sally’s character…unless something unfortunate happens to her in finale.
How cool is that
I can't be the only one who noticed the fart.
Trying to imagine Clint Eastwood in Waiting For Guffman.

I pay for premium but still have to fast forward through so many ads. Wtf
It's incorporated in the podcast.
Maybe ad more sponsors 😂
42:12 your welcome
Whyd you do him so dirty with the thumbnail 😅

Correction: Bill Hader is NOT married currently, and Carol Burnett is a second cousin of/to Bill Hader.
Pretty sure Barry is listening to Metallica's "Unforgiven" at some point....

This is the second or third web interview that i see with Bill Hader and the man really needs to clean his webcam.
fart @ 16:15😂
I guess my thing is, why are they so against someone trying to hustle to make money?
Interesting interview but too many ads. Sorry, I’m out.
He seems stoned lol
Sòo
hes tired lol
