Brilliant video, solved my issue with my steering wheel control not working. I disconnected every thing then reconneced from the head unit backwards aa in the video, and hey presto, it now works! Thank you.

Hi guys, I got this for my E90 2011 (without factor amp). I bought an aftermarket Kenwood radio plus bass amp. Where do I connect the base amp remote?
I couple the remote connector on the bass amp with the battery power. It works, but like my battery if I don't drive the car for a few days. It because the all is always powered.

We tried for three weeks with four different car electricians and mechanics as well as calls to Halfords technical help desk (who we believe also called yourselves) to get a JVC unit to work in my Discovery3. And no matter what anyone did it wouldn't work. If anyone wants to take this on as "I'll fix it no matter what" then please feel free but all the cables that were recommended to us just don't work. Happy to work with anyone who can make it all work.

I have a 2005 Skoda Octavia 2 with the factory fitted 'premium' sound package which consists of the Audience head unit, the Lear Corp. amplifier under the passenger seat and 12 speakers (2 speakers + 1 tweeter for each door). A few days ago, I swapped out the stock HU for a Chinese android unit, but I am not getting any sound from my speakers. After a lot of searching on the internet, I know that only the stock head units (and some compatible aftermarket head units) are able to communicate with the stock amplifier. This was disappointing as I quite like the sound of the stock amp+speakers and was hoping to use it with my new HU. Any way to make the amplifier work with the new HU Here is a picture of my amplifier for reference (I am guessing this is the same Dynaudio amp that comes on VW models)

Can you please help me out...I have a Renault Laguna 2 (Phase1) 2003 and want to replace the current stock Cabasse Auditorium with 6CD changer in the front and amplifier/radio in the boot) with an aftermarket 2DIN android unit.
The problem is that unlike the Tunerlist and UpdateList, I only have one single green flat 15pin connector in the front (console).
Is there a wiring harness adapter available for this system?

What if I need to connect the cig lighter 12v constant? Where would I connect it to ?
The 12 volt constant can be connected straight to a 12v fuse/battery source, or you can locate a 12v source within your wiring from the car and splice into it

I have a Mazda 3 BL and pioneer z5350bt head unit. Purchased step 1 & 2 of the corresponding Aerpro harnesses, followed your video but still, steering wheel controls are not working. The head unit has a setting in the menu for steering wheel controls, but it is greyed out and I cannot select it. Do you have any other tips?

I have a peugeot 308 Mk1 2012 (version facelift) and I changed from the common original head unit to an Chinese android one which has to many more features include GPS, bluetooth etc etc.
My problem is a bit diffrent from the video you showed, I set the cambus to my car make and model and when the unit switched on my centre dashboard control display begin blinks even If I set it up and it comes good when I change from radio station to one another it lost control and do the same start blinks again.
One day I found another setting from the cambus and the display comes good it stays steady when I change the radio station or to change to a cd, but my steering controls stoped function.
Any suggestions please what can I do ?

Yes it works with Nakamichi head units, only Key 1 needs to be attached wiring wise and the orange and purple loops need to be severed.

Hi, I have just fitted a Connects2 CTKFD09 with a Sony XAV-AX1005DB stereo, cannot get the steering well controls working despite trying everything. I have disconnected and reconnected multiple times but still no communication, it was erratic at first and the volume would ramp up to max so you would have to quickly turn it down and it stabilised. The headunit has an option to set SW controls up but the programming fails, I managed to get one button programmed when it went orange but then it locked up and would'nt go any further. Any advice would be appreciated, I have opened a ticket via your website but no reply as of yet.

For Kenwood units you only require the purple wire, the Jack is unnecessary and is only used on other stereo systems.

My Astra H 2010 has a Xtrons ( PX71OLO-B ) Aftermarket headunit fitted and the wheel controls just wont work I have taken the headunit out and tried various things but still no joy. I called in our local Halfords the other day and had a look at your product CP2-VX52 that I was told was the correct Connect2 for my car , the big problem is that the conection to my headunit will not fit. The quadlock fits but I cannot get the other end to plug into my headunit also i cannot find any type of SWC connector on the headunit for the patch lead , can you please help a very frustrated owner

What do you do with the mint green, pink and purple loose wires
These are used as head unit connections. depending on the head unit used you may use some of these leads or the 3.5mm jack connector used in this video. Thanks C2

Hi iamVold, depending on the vehicle you are installing the MVH-AV290BT into our SWC interfaces automatically interact with the CANBUS systems so the buttons will continue to operate with your new headunit.

This may seem like stupid question but does the patch lead go into the aux on the stereo or is it a different connection? Its just mines on the front of the stereo and I see yours is on the back.

The patch lead will be connected to the Steering Wheel Remote port most commonly located on the back, this does look like an Aux port but it should be labelled by SWC on the head unit or just underneath/alongside

If it isn't on the back of the actual head unit, then you might well have a bullet connector/wire that is labelled SWC

The Steering Wheel Control Interface comes with an ISO connector on one end so you will need an ISO connection to join it with your head unit. Thanks C2
