I have a done a few cargo trailer conversions for camping/hauling wheelers. I have tried several ceiling coverings from cedar planks to cheap paneling that ends up wavy. My latest build I used I-span pvc panels. Got it from Menards. Home depot has the same stuff called trusscore. It's 16" wide. 1/2" thick. Tongue and Grove type application. You can get it in up to 16 ft lengths. I ran it lengthwise in my 7x16 trailer. Doesn't sag. Easy to install. Smooth white finish. Waterproof. Best stuff I have found so far for ceilings. It can be used for walls as well.
Nice video. Found a used 8.5x10 ft with a for sale sign. $1,000 and I towed it home. An older unit, I upgraded all the lights to LEDs. New tires. I've added D rings rather than E track as this fits my needs for hauling antiques to shows. I added the wire baker rack shelves to one side to keep things organized. It already has a roof vent and I added a roof vent cover. Also added a strip of led ribbon lights down the middle and 2 LED spot lights above the barn doors in back because I go to a lot of shows where you arrive before the the sun rises. Definitely gonna do the roof insulation.
Love everything but the sticker, although I like stickers I agree with your wife. You've just advertised to a potential thief what "may" be inside. DJ buddy of mine did this because he wanted a moving "Billboard" and......yep the trailer was stolen with 90% of his equipment inside. If you want to protect your trailer at least put a Honda sticker on it. LOL
For the viewers: If your primary concern is security I'd recommend NOT advertising what is inside; like the Harley Davidson sticker on the side. Overall nice, clean looking trailer; very functional.
Good tips I agree with the epoxy!! Also recommend MACS tie down equipment and tracking. what did you pay for your trailer? nice one any other ideas or suggestions now that time has passed?
Look into this product as an exterior temporary protectant “CarPro HydrO2 Concentrate”. I use it on my vehicles. Even thought I have them ceramic coated, this product gives that little extra protection and makes them really easy to clean.
Good ideals, I’ll be purchasing a cargo trailer soon to not pay for existing storage units at $220 a month I rather own something and just park in my backyard
Kind of undermining the security part with a big fat Harley Davidson sticker on the sides. 🤣👍 That is a blatant invite to thieves. I am a motorcyclist myself. They cut the locks with a cordless grinder or just tow the trailer away. Even if they only use the safety chains or thier chains to wrap around thier trailer ball, bumper,....and drive away.
Stickers are unfortunately a great advertisement to thieves. The most important add would be putting a Samasung Smarttag hidden inside so you can track its location if stolen. They outperform every other tracking tag on the market, including airtags, and no cost for a cell radio service plan that traditional gps trackers need to communicate

Great video. Thanks for the great ideas. Your trailer looks great! Don’t forget your 6th modification… Your aluminum ladder racks 🤩 I sure love mine.
Tell me about these roof racks. I wanted to get two sets of similar racks and build a walk on deck. Will these racks be strong enough? Thanks!

This.. this is my dream goal😊
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make it! I bought a 8.5x20 and was looking to do some modifications. The video helped. Thanks!
its amazing what you can do with these trailers. Wish I would have bought one years ago.
@@timbertimeoutdoors9836 Agreed! I bought one for work and it’s been a life saver at work and in my personal life. I’ll have one from now on.
Excellent video... thank you for taking the time to share.

or put HAZ-MAT sticker
Thanks for this . Got a similar car hauler w front door and passenger side fold out window ish panel . Great toy hauler and camper if needed.
Im curious if the styrofoam would stick to the ceiling with liquid nails or silicone
"burnout on accident" lol.... Thanks for taking time out to make a video and share your thoughts on the trailer.
What size trailer is in the video?
Width, length and interior height
Sweet trailer. Does the epoxy floor become slippery when it's wet?

Where you get those HD decals?

Any troubles towing with a single axle?

What size trailer?
Looks good. What did you use to hang you kayak
They are just simple ladder hangers from Home Depot.
What size is your trailer? I noticed you had 2 bikes in there and that is what I want to do without going any larger than I have to
I’d say his is like a 7x12 or 14

Nice video
Spray foam on the ceiling….maybe?

My wife told me the same thing.

Yeah as long as you're within 100 meters....there must be something better than that
stickers not a good idea... it's advertising to a thief that something good is inside. If anything, put a sticker that says bricks inside
