BEAUTIFUL! I knew it was going to be stunning… I’ve noticed in all your projects that you take great pride in your work. I’m the same way. I always say “It has my name on it “ so it’s got to be right. You have gave me the information and inspiration to tackle my garage! Thank you guys for sharing this informational video. I’m always looking forward for the next update! 🙏🏻♥️
If it gets slippery just add the 4X6 rubberbacked carpets from home depot. Will be less wear on the floors as well. If in storage over winter just remove carpets so moisture doesnt collect underneath. Im hoping a gallon of outdoor porch paint will do for me. In middle of painting the walls white in my 6 X10 bike trailer. I will install wheel chocks after too
I pretty much have the same trailer and was looking for ideas. I have been converting mine into a mobile studio though but keeping it where it can still haul in the need.
I am making a simple camper out of a brand new 16x7 utility trailer. I'm thinking that this epoxy floor would be perfect under my washable rug!!! Also was going to put a wallboard on my walls but your video makes me think I may not need to and just paint!
We have a new 20’ trailer like yours and I need to do this. We bought the trailer to use for moving across country. We will be moving some furniture and at least 4 vehicles over time. This should help keep the trailer durable over the hauls. Thanks for the tips. Now to get time to take on one more chore….😊
Looks so much better. I highly recommend the Rustoleum Epoxy Garage Floor Paint Kit, I've done my Garage and Lanai Floor over and it still looks great.
Actually according to Rustoleum, this product is not for wood. I called, they said for wood use the ployuramide Rock Solid. Much more expensive unfortunately.
I was wanting to paint the inside of mine white but didn’t know how much brighter it would per trying to keep the walls clean and also Love the floor YES I will be doing mine now for sure Glad I can across your videos started with the trading in the 5th wheel for A class keep the videos coming Thanks
Question. Looks great, but what about the exposed OSB under the trailer? That OSB really soaked up the paint. What do you think it's doing when you drive in the rain? Or grass grows up under the trailer? As much effort you went into making the trailer look amazing, will you protect that wood under the trailer where it is most exposed to the elements?
I feel it was worth doing all that! Looks alot better. Im in the middle of doing my new/used traile with FRP panels on the walls & rubber mat for the floor. Or i may do the epoxy! How did the epoxy floor hold up so far?
So how's it holding up so far? I'm surprised that the trailer manufacturers don't seal or undercoat the flooring on the underside of the trailers. Seem like it would be a must if they want their trailers to last longer.
Wow! You did great! I think I'll do this to my trailer too! BTW, I agree... you are the blue collar version of Joel Osteen BIG TIME!! Its crazy how similar the voice, accent, looks... everything! Lol!!
I think it turned out great! I’m needing to get an enclosed trailer, so this video gave me some good ideas for what to do when I get one. Also, I wanted to say that we almost know one another. I have met David. His wife and my wife, Libby, are good friends. I hope to meet you guys one day. I really enjoy your channel. Mike from Mississippi.
Should of hit it with some oil based Kilz for the first coat(just a note for working with fresh partial board) one gallon would of kept the paint from soaking into the wood and would have cut your costs in half, sacrificing x2 $3 throw away brushes. And you'd have better adhesion and a longer lasting product.
I just used helmans spar urethane on the inside wood of my trailer, dint want to cover up screws with primer and paint i might need to unscrew just to protect my wood.
Awesome video! Just picked up an enclosed that I’m fixing up! Was wondering how the Anti slip is? Is it as advertised or is the floor still a bit slippery?
Looks great, but I've never been a fan of the color chips. It seems to me if you drop something really small like a needle bearing or something like that it's going to be really hard to find. Especially if you're on your back under the car. I think it would look just fine with just the gray color and the anti-skid. The anti-skid is mandatory just for safety sake. Greetings from Texas.....John B.
I really like how that turned out. The white paint really brightens up the trailer even without adding more lights. Will you update us if you do any storage mods to the trailer down the road? Travel Safe!
Just did my 8.5x20 how much of a pain was the tape to pull after everything cured ? I’m terrified it’s gonna be one with the floor now and won’t have a cut line
This is impressive & provides encouragement to me for tackling my small garage floor. Looks great Mr D. Do you have any "wish I would have" on this project?
Thank you Carmen! Due to the 3 coats of paint and 3 of epoxy, it took us 5 days. Much of that was due to allowing the epoxy to dry for 24 hrs before adding another coat.
Great job !! I am planning to do the same on my 7x14 V-nose M/C trailer. Can you please list the brand of the Epoxy kit you got? I could see the wall paint but not the Epoxy. I think we've been missing the Anti-Skid coating on you video. Did you just applied it on top of the 3rd coating with the chips?? lastly, did you need to scrape off the floor after the chips laid down to remove all the edges? thanks.
Hey Eli, I used the Rust-Oleum Epoxy Shield. The Anti Skid is added to your final coat mix, just pour it into the liquid and stir. We did not have to scrape the floor afterward either. So far so good.
@@TollesonLife thanks for clarifying. Just so you know when I called Rust-Oleum c/s and asked for their recommendation for wood floor paint use, they said to use the Polycuramine instead of Epoxy shield as the latter used for concrete floors.
We finally got around to adding a couple of upgrades to the trailer we tow behind the Rv. What do you guys think???
❤😊p
Brilliant job. Good video of rhe preparation and application... Very professional looking finish.👍
Thank you very much!

Thank you Latada! Good luck on the garage!
Thank you, this was very helpful!
This is is exactly what I’d like to achieve. Thanks for sharing and the great step by step guide.
Sure thing Andrew!
I’ve used that epoxy floor paint that stuff is potent till it cures best choice to seal the pours

If I had it to do over I would have just painted the floor.👍👍
I did the same thing but also put two coats of the clear over the chips on the floor. Seem to seal them to the floor better.
🙌👍
It looks awesome. Just the paint on the walls made the trailer look more finished.
🙌

Hey Dez! Thank you!
Not gonna lie, the floor looks real good. Good work man.

You will be pleased with the epoxy floor, it will hold up better than regular paint. Good job!
Thanks Ken!!
That interior looks Great, especially the floor.

Looks great. Really like the color chips.

You’re gonna have to keep Flyboy around, he is a great worker.
Lol! I hear ya Bell!
That looks awesome! Great idea and didn’t know you could apply the epoxy on wood so thanks for sharing!
Thanks Flyandride15!
Actually according to Rustoleum, this product is not for wood. I called, they said for wood use the ployuramide Rock Solid. Much more expensive unfortunately.
Really nice job. Excellent outcome! I think I'll emulate it.

I haven’t done that yet but really should.
Looking good my friend, will have to try that out
Thank you Charles!
Looking good 👍

Thanks TR! Pretty pleased how it turned out.

Thank you Vince! 👍
I think it looks really cool !!
Thank you captziggy1!
AWESOME!!..THE EPOXY IS TOUGH..THEY ALSO HAVE A CLEAR COAT IF YOU WISH TO MAKE LITTLE SHINIER.....
Thanks Southpawsgarage! I thought about adding the clear......
Looks great, I’m thinking about doing that to my garage floor.
🙌👍
I used Valspar epoxy and anti-skid. Turned out very well.
👍🙌
Very very nicely done!
Thank you! Cheers!
I think it turned out great
Thanks Hal!
I feel it was worth doing all that! Looks alot better. Im in the middle of doing my new/used traile with FRP panels on the walls & rubber mat for the floor. Or i may do the epoxy! How did the epoxy floor hold up so far?
Looks really good to me.
Thanks Ce'sar!
Looks good, very impressive.
Thanks WRXS!
Nice work. I have the same sized trailer, have been considering doing the same upgrade. Now if I just wasn't so lazy.....
Lol! Thanks Keith!
I like it looks really good
Looks incredible!
So how's it holding up so far? I'm surprised that the trailer manufacturers don't seal or undercoat the flooring on the underside of the trailers. Seem like it would be a must if they want their trailers to last longer.
It looks great thanks for the video. I'm doing that too.
looks outstanding.
🙌🙌
Looks awesome great video thank you for the inspiration 👍
Was there a clear coat put on the floor after the chips were put down?
Looks good 👍🇺🇸
Appreciate it Jim!
Wow! You did great! I think I'll do this to my trailer too! BTW, I agree... you are the blue collar version of Joel Osteen BIG TIME!! Its crazy how similar the voice, accent, looks... everything! Lol!!

Came out nice great job 👏

Thanks for watching!
It looks amazing!! Nice job 😊
Thank you Veronica! 🙌
Great job..Looks Super
Thank you so much Jimmy🙌
What did you all use for the wall paneling
How is the epoxy holding up? Great idea. I wonder if there is a primer for the epoxy first
So far so good, I may do an update a year in so advise how it’s going
How well has this floor paint kit held up so far? I have an extra kit and would love to utilize it.
Thanks for the info Kewl Bud!
looks good , nice job !
Appreciate it Earl!
Awesome job, this video really helped me. Question though, what’d you do with the clumped areas of the flakes? Like the ones not fully in the epoxy?
Thanks nicksmooth75! I just got my blower and blew any that didn't stick out the back door.
I just used helmans spar urethane on the inside wood of my trailer, dint want to cover up screws with primer and paint i might need to unscrew just to protect my wood.
I wish I had thought of this for my trailer. I did paint the walls though.
Hello great video! Question did you notice any cracks on the epoxy from driving since the trailer flexes under load?
Thanks Vlad, not yet, Im keeping an eye out though due to the flexing. So far so good.
Hey Sir, Do you think we still need to apply the Epoxyshield Premium Clear Coating?
What about a metallic epoxy floor, think that would hold up with a urethane top coat?
Awesome video! Just picked up an enclosed that I’m fixing up! Was wondering how the Anti slip is? Is it as advertised or is the floor still a bit slippery?
It seems to be quite sticky. Pretty pleased with it, not sure how slippery it would have been without the Anti Slip though....
Is there a difference between a cargo and a car enclosed trailer?
Great job, Thanks!
Thanks, I am pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Looks great, but I've never been a fan of the color chips. It seems to me if you drop something really small like a needle bearing or something like that it's going to be really hard to find. I really like how that turned out. The white paint really brightens up the trailer even without adding more lights.
Will you update us if you do any storage mods to the trailer down the road?
Travel Safe!
Thanks Chris! I sure will!
Just did my 8.5x20 how much of a pain was the tape to pull after everything cured ? I’m terrified it’s gonna be one with the floor now and won’t have a cut line
Are you in Sturgis this year? I’ll keep my eye out for you
Couldn’t make it out this year. Hope you are having a great time!
I'm still a little confused. When can you guys come over?
Looks great! How much weight to you think you added to your trailer doing this and do you think it’s negligible?
Hey RD G! Thank you. No more that 30 lbs or so but I actually removed some things I wasn’t using and lighted up the trailer as a whole. 👍
This is impressive & provides encouragement to me for tackling my small garage floor. Looks great Mr D. Do you have any "wish I would have" on this project?
Hey Chris, thanks man. No “wish I’d” the one surprise was how long it took, thought it would go much quicker….
@@TollesonLife thank you for responding back. It is good to know it will be time consuming ahead of time.
Awesome job! Grand improvement! How long did it take to complete the makeover?
Thank you Carmen! Due to the 3 coats of paint and 3 of epoxy, it took us 5 days. Much of that was due to allowing the epoxy to dry for 24 hrs before adding another coat.
Looks great
Thanks Mel🙌
Looks good
Man trailer looks great!! I’m gonna do mine soon!! How’s the floor holding up?
Thanks vgcamaj1. So far so good, no issues and very pleased with it.
Looks great!! I really like how you blotted out your brother's backside!! haha
😅 Thanks meandorr!
looks great
🙌👍
Awesome 😮 ❤❤❤
Thanks 🤗
Did the anti slip work? Is it slippery when wet?
It works well, no issues with slipping.
Was there a big increase in weight? Looks great!
Thanks Iowa Iron! Only 30 lbs or so.
