A "a disabled drummer" you say? My ass....you're one phenomenally capable drummer. I have been trying to talk my band's drummer in to this tune and he has been telling me he doesn't think he can do it (he could, the guy is incredible), I plan on showing him this and asking him what his fucking excuse is, lol. Rock on brother!

going at this speed with your shoulders is like a normal person going at 300bpm I.e impossible. this is so amazing.

Even if we ignore the fact that he's disabled for a moment, his time is spot on, his rhythm is flawless, the fills are tasteful, and it's just all around brilliantly played! Then, at the disability back in there, and you've got yourself a god among men. Bravo! Keep the faith, my man!

I am totally blown away by this. Having recently learned the song myself, this is not an easy hi hat part to play with the fingers. So how you manage to generate that speed and solidness with your shoulders, I literally cannot get my head around. I have always drawn a lot of inspiration from people with a disability showing the world 2 fingers and achieving greatness regardless, but this is another level. Thanks for posting...really means a lot!
Bet it is way way more exhausting moving your shoulder muscles instead of your wrist muscles as well. Can see the sweat by the end, must need some crazy stamina. This guys got talent!

I've played drums 42 years. Yes this song comes easy to play but I have all limbs. I've tried to see if I can even move my upper arms/shoulders as fast as him and cannot. His shoulders are as nimble as wrists...thats amazing
Beautiful...I am a double amputee and although I am thankful for what I have there are days that steamroll me with sadness and defeat. Today was one until I saw this. You are Amazingly talented. I've been playing drums for over 20 years and was injured 2 years ago so I am paralyzed from the knees down. Since I can't play the pedals I've all but given up the kit until now. You've inspired me to pursue overcoming my obstacle, which is nothing compared to your obstacle. So much respect

Good stuff, man. I've been playing and teaching for several years. You're playing is excellent. I wouldn't consider what you have a disablitly. What you have is talent and passion. Keep it up. You're more whole than a lot of people I've run into.

I've been playing musical instruments my whole life, dozen orchestral instruments, guitar, bass in a death metal band, even banjo and you get all my props. I have tried to play basic drums and just never could find the coordination to make it work. You have better rhythm than most people you will ever know. Nice work.

I think the most impressive thing about this cover is how difficult it would be to play that on the high hat with no wrists. Most drummers will tell you that speed comes from the wrist and using your arms will only slow you down. The fact that Cornel is playing this using all arm strength is VERY impressive and shows that hard work really does pay off.

I have only the upmost respect for you.. and this is not cause of your ability to play given your circumstances, but rather your motivation/ determination. You are a inspiration to a lot of people who desire so much to be a musician. I think because of you, these people will put aside any self doubt and actually try to accomplish what they love no matter what. In my opinion he is not disabled at all. He lets nothing stand in the ways of his dream, so I think that it's more of an inconvenience at this point rather than a disability.
