I don't know if you missed this or not, but Carl told Markus to leave not because he was mad at him for pushing Leo, but because he wanted him to get out of there before the police arrived and killed him. Carl really cared about him, and didn't want him to die.
The reason the game is making you do that weird controller movement is because it’s on experienced difficulty. If you switch it to casual, it’ll pretty much be the same without the controller tilts. Also the reason why Carl told Markus to leave is because the police were going to react the way they reacted by shooting Markus so Carl wanted to protect him by telling him leave so that he could avoid the cops.
Hey Cascina, don't stress too much about making "bad" decisions! I think the fun of the game is to see what outcomes you get with your spur of the moment decisions rather than trying to do a "perfect" playthrough. If you end up wanting to see another outcome, it's really easy to replay sections after you've finished the game :)

I found this game so stressful with the minimal decision times, sometimes unclear controller directions and no go-backsies. I did get really immersed in it though and its great for that.

cascina, dont worry about the endings of the scenarios you've chosen. there will always be a "what if" factor to all of them, and I know it hurts knowing something else could've been better. but that's the beauty of the game, very much similar to life - you try your best to make situations as smooth as possible, but sometimes shit hits the fan and things are unpredictable. you're doing a good job of learning things as they go, so enjoy your time and experience your emotions going high and low. also weirdly enough I was able to guess 95% of your choices lmaoo, nevertheless glad to see you play this masterpiece. glhf

The fun and unique thing about this game is....there is no right or wrong choice. You make the best informed choice you can make. But that's exactly why you need to explore and pay attention to story elements because they help inform your decisions. If you don't explore and you rush the game then don't be mad when characters suddenly die.
Not sure if you meant to Cas, but you have the Experienced difficulty turned on! It can be immersive in the roleplay scenarios but in the combat scenes its difficult to succeed if you're not used to it. for a first time play through I would recommend the Casual difficulty. Loving watching you play this series so far!
In these types of games, I would recommend to think think too much about the decisions about just be yourself. Get into the character, pretend that you are him and just select the decision that you would select if your were in his position.
