you missed a point, of rise of useless litigation and violence against doctors even when they try to save mother and baby during normal delivery ,this is major factor why c section is preffered.A lso many mother dont fulfill the basic minimun number of Antenatal visits and end up in complication even though visits are given through guideline n monitoring.

This video was balanced but missed on few of the benefits of Caeserean Section. You should have included opinions of atleast a government gynaecologist in this video, they might have brought out more nuances and everyone would have had much better understanding. Doctors would love to talk and explain things when asked nicely and when they are free :). In the future please include subject experts and let them explain their field even for a minute or two. Prolonged lochia ie. vaginal discharge, injury to baby esp collar bone, caput, injury to mother's pelvic floor, chances of prolonged labour pain esp. in first time mothers and increasing saftey of c-sec are also important factors. Besides maternal mortality has decreased and registration and record keeping has improved. Apart from the points mentioned in this video these factors also have to be in play.

This topic touched me in a deeper level. I live in Netherlands and was blesses with a baby this month. The baby was around 3.5 kg. This was our first baby so we were not sure what is the procedure of child birth in NL. Few months before the delivery we had an intake with doctor. The doctor declined C-Section as a options. Here is what she said " we doctors in NL pledge to never harm our patients. A c section means cutting 7 layers of human tissue. This procedure will actively harm the mother and baby. We will not perform this operation until either mother or baby are actively in danger "
My wife was very afraid if a natural delivery. She is very soft person, because of that I was also not sure if she could do it. She was in labour for 5 hrs. The doctors the nurses were cheering her all the way. Our baby was born naturally.
Parallely in India my sister was also pregnant. Her child was around 2.8kg. she is way more stronger. She tried for a natural birth. But only after 2 hrs of trying doctors pushed for C-Section. She was almost done but they still insisted for C-Section. They tried all the fear tactics and finally my BIL said yes for C-Section.
I have no doubt about the talent of doctors in india. They are the best of best. But I highly dought their ethics. I cannot trust a single word that they say. And I don't believe that the decision they take is for my best interest.

She was almost done? can you please subpoena the treatment and monitoring records so that we can confirm its not blind hate. Sue him if you're so sure.
Ill tell you you're not so sure because you're not there in the room.
Ill tell you you're not sure because you can just think emotionally and what UA-cam and other social media teaches you
You'll never be sure because you will be the first one to manhandle the doctor if something happens to the baby
Doctors in India may not be the best of the best but we've learnt practicing safe medicine. Safe for us that is- to prevent mortal harm if something bad happens. Let the patient go when he is alive so that we won't be in that bed soon if our best attempts (God forbid the extra bill that is generated) leads to property and physical harm.

I'm a nurse in a govt hospital. Doctors don't get extra income from patients but they are so impatient that they don't go for normal delivery and even don't encourage a patient for it. In many cases where mothers emphatically want normal delivery doctors ask them or their parties to sign on the risk consent. It's very painful to see being a medical person. Patients are also so impatient nowadays. Doctors don't want to wait for long hours and they think that I'll instead perform 6-7 c-section in that hours.

C section can be done ONLY for a serious reason and it is Very Rare case only (20%) . C section is done only for very serious reason and health problem of mother or baby. Operetion can be done only if the birth is really not possible because of the serious reason. Women must give birth to a baby, and not cut their baby out of stomach. Indian doctors force women into operetion and dont let them give birth because of the corrupt system. They want to cut you, they dont want to take care of you and give time to you during beautiful labour and birth. Also because of money they manipulate you and lie to you that you must have operetion cause your baby is „weak“ or „water is low“ all these kind of lies. @@sushmareddykondapaly a normal delivery's success depends on the treating doctor's competence, knowledge and patience too.
Doctors used to c-sections will obviously inflict deep perineal cuts to normal delivery cases too. On the other hand, the size of the baby matters too. Due to improved maternal nutrition or some health condition of the mother, or the genetic constitution of one or both parents, babies may be large requiring a bigger cut to the perineum.
I still feel that a recovery from larger deeper cut on the uterus is much longer than a perineal cut. Doctors now need more practice to gain experience to handle vaginal births. Most docs, even the older ones seem more geared towards surgical births.

Most of the times, mothers supposedly face complications and have to pay the higher fees of C-section. That's why, some couples prefer to deliver their baby in another city where the doctors approve of normal delivery.

If doctors insist on normal delivery and if for some reason Baby develops some problem or requires admission in neonatal ICU (NICU) then patient and attenders start questioning why C-Section was not done, some attack doctors and hospitals and some even sue doctors telling because of normal delivery their baby had problems. At that point it made less sense to keep battling in so much pain when there was no ETA from baby’s side. Doctor then suggested csec which I also thought was the correct decision. Later we found out that my baby had a cord looped around her neck and it could have endangered her life if she came down. So csec was a boon for me.
Plus, in Bangalore pvt hospitals, the cost of csec and natural birth are almost similar. So monetary incentive for doctors to push for csec is negligible.

My friends around preferred private hospital for delivery but right from the beginning I had faith just in a govt. hospital. I have seen it myself during labour that some to -be mothers requested for a C-Section because they could not bear the pain but the doctors at PGI kept pushing them for normal delivery, and those same mothers were thankful to the doctors after the delivery for not conducting the C-Section.
In my first month of conceiving, two private doctors told me that I have had a miscarriage and asked me to conduct an internal check-up. Completely shattered by this, I went to PGI, they assured me that it's a healthy pregnancy within 2 minutes just by observing my stomach. Yes the procedures in a govt. hospital are quite long and time consuming but trust me it is worth everything.

I was continuously screaming and shouting because of pains but still no dilation.. dr wr waiting 1 inch dilation more to start the procedure but dilation was not increasing.. at last i started for shouting for operation.. n they simply said no.. bcoz baby head was fixed and only 10 r 20% dilation was left.. i shouted for operation and for forcep delivery.. doctors got angry at me bcoz the pain was unbearable for me.. at last they took me for forcep delivery and gave me warning to corporate.. i countinsly shouted when they inserted forcep for delivery.. pain was out of control.. i was even not able to move my legs r hands or fingers of any from place to other.. but some how i took the pains and co operated with them.. after successful delivery baby was not normal.. he drank amonitic fluid while i was facing dilation and pushes and pains.. they took him into emergency case.. n thr was sharp mark of forcep on his head.. skull was out of shape and he not cried after being born.. but Alhm his healthy and fi9 now.. somehow the day passed.. and it became most horrific day of my life. Now expecting the 2nd, and its one month left to go more.. doctors are cooperative but im worried about same pains again.. wt i learned is we should never compete or intrput the nature. Bcoz my mom did hurry dilation was stopped.. doctors already gv the tim by nxt day mrng.. but my mom started disturbing doctors for enema and induce for Faster delivery.. i got 7-8 stiches after forcep.. pain was more unbearable.. May Almighty easy the pains of all expecting mom.. and grants them success in both the worlds .

The C section takes less time, so a surgeon might do the operation in few hours, whereas in natural, sometimes it might take upto 12-15 hours. To have all the emergency doctor, nurse, bed, blood, syringe and equipment ready for 12-15 hours and NOT have to use them is a big factor in why these big hospitals are forcing C sections. First of all. Vocabulary matters. We can say vaginal delivery and cesarian delivery which gives respect to both ways of giving birth. From first hand experience who underwent an emergency c section after suffering 30+ hours and hearing fellow young mothers, realised two things. There is a huge increase in premature water breaking, leading to emergency c sections and secondly cesarian recovery is not drastically different from "natural" delivery. I walked the second day and was able to touch my feet after they removed stitches. Unnecessary fear of both ways of giving birth and lots of misinformation is the major cause of postpartum depression in mothers. Child birth is not predictable like we hope.

Stop peddling this bullshit...Being a man, you have no right to preach about how a woman should be treating her body and more so, during child birth because you can never ever imagine in your wildest dreams what toll does child birth take on the body of a woman! It doesn't matter how it used to happen in our primitive past...The simple fact is this: C section or normal delivery, both have their shares of pros and cons. It's either a woman's choice or medical grounds that determines & should continue to determine how a woman delivers her baby...In all instances I have come across so far, including my family's, I have never seen doctors pushing one form of delivery over other to the extent where I have seen doctors encouraging normal delivery over C section. There may be cases where C section is deliberately pushed over normal delivery with the sole intention of earning more money which is wrong for the sole reason that a woman is not getting even an opportunity to make her own rightful choice. To my limited knowledge, the cost doesn't change with normal or C section delivery and hence, preaching to do more normal deliveries is downright male chauvinism...You will get some right to post this sick video of yours only after you go through a gender change operation and give birth to a baby out of your own vagina that will be cut and stitched on top of the pain of pushing the baby out...If you cant even do that, then at least first take scissors and cut your miniscule penis and stitch it with thread and you wouldn't even have experienced 1% pain of what a woman goes through during and after child birth (pre childbirth is another story all together!)...

I am a Doctor and I am running a Hospital, 50% of couples go for elective C-sec because they don't want to "destroy" female's genitals by normal delivery, that's a common believe in general population. Rest of the 50% who don't opt for C section, approximately 25% go for emergency C- sec because of delayed labour as they don't develop labour pains even in the 3rd stage of labour. I always ask the couples to go for normal delivery if they are fit but it is hard to convince them at the stage where women are alredy prepared for caesarean section.
Another bright side of C-section is significant decline in maternal and Infant mortality rates across the country.
And yes normal delivery doesn't "destroy" patient's vagina all it requires some time for recovery and vaginal epithelial tissue is resilient.

It's better to have stitches on your abdomen than to have it on vagina coz in most of the cases of Normal delivery doctors cut 3-4 cm of the vagina to widen the opening so that parturition is made easier and baby doesn't drink dirty water and the stitches pain and bleeding takes a lot of time to heal...and usually the umbilical cord also gets stuck around baby's neck which may cause problem to the baby as it becomes hanging rope for them if not delivered fast.....normal delivery is not that easy it's really painful......and back pain problem is common in both C-section and normal delivery.......so choose wisely ladies if you are not mentally prepared or you are afraid of labour pain than go for C-section .....coz both have their own pros and cons.....

C-section delivery will give more money to the private hospitals as well to the public hospitals, they get more grant from the govt.
C-section is abnormal way to deliver a baby. The body takes time to process that the baby has been delivered.
It affects largely to the babies as well as to the mothers.
Even after 8 months of delivery, the mother feels pain in her spine.

A year and half ago my sister in law had a baby. It was a government hospital and her mother insisted on taking her to that hospital as she has helped some other ladies from neighborhood in their postpartum period and during their labour so she had some experience with such situations. In the room which she was admitted in during her labour pain a nurse came in and told her that she'll have to go through a c section as baby is not in right condition to be delivered normally without informing any other family members that were present right outside her room also she chose exact time when she was momentarily left alone. Hearing this she panicked and her blood pressure elevated then when her mother got to know about the reason for this she first helped her calm down and then she asked that nurse not to tell her such information which isn't necessarily confirmed she also suggested after talking with my sister in law that they'll go for normal delivery. The baby was born perfectly healthy little boy. My sister in law was healthy too all thanks to her mother she didn't had to go through any unnecessary procedure.
But in those few moments when she was left alone that nurse really caused her to worry if it weren't for her mother's insistence, support and much needed courage she would have given in to their suggestions and would have gone through unnecessary c-section. She was brave throughout her pregnancy and labour to endure such stress and also her mother is strong for helping her make such serious decisions with a calm mind in panicky and stressful situation.

At 35 i had my second baby which was a vaginal delivery despite my first being a csec... The only difference in both my deliverues was that the second time around we were more cognizant and chose the right hospital( where the rates of normal and csec were the same) and a doctor who was famous for her normal delivery rate. Honestly the only way to fight this as an end customer is to do your homework and find such doctors/hospitals. ' one thing i got to know more was some doctors or surgeon in private hospitals are paid per number of surgeries or c-sections performed hence they are forced to promote it more so they earn.

Although those hospitals come under top class and are non feasible for lower middle class to afford, but yeah, normal deliveries are also back in tradition.
You should make a video on this as well.
Not all private or govt hospitals are bad, few are super good

I think India is already overpopulated, government should encourage adoption, we have so many orphans in India and more than one or two babies shouldn't be allowed

Guys, don't make UA-cam as your source of information on such sensitive topics. This video is not baded upon well researched facts. Thete was no doctor's opinion also here. Honestly, I would prefer Mohak or Dhruv to explain better. Please don't misguide people here if you don't know medical knowledge.
