I'm a pharmacist , but i can say nothing is going to change in this sector. I myself tried to complaint against my management for changing MRP of generic medicine. What happened, got a legal notice and got fired from there. And at next job they didn't even hired me and rejected by saying your conduct was not right at your previous job. After all efforts nothing happened and now I've opened a small pharmacy on loan. And in this environment you expect doctors to be ethical. Very little to no chance at all. Nothing will change, no matter which government is in power....

My wife was pregnant she had pain in lower part of stomach, doctor told us to do sonography and told us it’s Appendicitis and she needs to be operated fast. But then we went to ayurveda doctor who simply gave her medicine for gas and the pain was cured. This incident opened her eyes as she blindly trusted allopathy. Now we only go to ayurvedic doctor.

Being a junior doctor myself, I have seen this many a times in Delhi, even the HRs of those hospitals are well mixed up, they go on to the point of even forging patients treatment records and past medical history just to get % from insurance companies, I was scolded by HR of a hospital infront of nurses and doctors for being honest and writing down all treatment and previous records of a patient and that lead to her insurance being cancelled and HR not getting her share.. Around 5 years ago one day my mother felt weakness in her body. Next day she went to hospital with my father. Doctors took all the tests but there was nothing in reports. Then they give one medicine to my mother. As we had trust on doctor so my mother took medicine at evening after that she felt problem with breathing and hallucination. Then in morning we searched about the medicine in internet. So it was the medicine of depression of last stage.
We immediately throw that medicine and never took. We only gave good diet to mother and she did yoga. In few days my mother was healthy again.
Thats how few doctor try to trap normal people and make them addicted of medicine so that they can get benifits of money. So be aware.

Being a doctor i really support you in this. I have seen doctors of private hospitals prescribing unnecessary lab tests and medicine which are not even needed. They do this just for their commission from labs and pharmaceutical companies. I even tried to raise questions while doing my job in hospitals but failed to change this money making business of hospitals. If someone tries to raise any questions against the hospital they will just fire you from the job. That's the reason i left all my previous jobs. Happy to see someone talking openly about this on youtube. Full support to you. ❤

My uncle had suffered a heart attack and was admitted to MAX super speciality hospital, New Delhi. However, the hospital authorities said that there was a problem with his leg and it should be amputed. Thank God, that we shifted him to another hospital a few moments before surgery where it was diagnosed that there was no problem with his leg and instead his heart has to be operated. It has been 3 years since he has been doing well. Thank God that we thought of taking a second opinion before the surgery otherwise he would have lost his leg and his heart wouldn't have been operated.

Some time with surgeon & team and other time with team only but hospital charges surgeon visiting fee every time they visit. The fee was 5000 per visit by surgeon and by normal doctors, it was around 1500. My uncle got visited by the surgeon 2 days out of 10 days admission and I was charged 100000 as doctors fee. When I asked hospital about it they mentioned, the surgeon works at 4 other hospitals too and can't be available for every visit to the patient but they charge 5000 per visit because its the team who visits is headed by him. Im a Doctor and am honestly appalled by this generalization. It is wrong to say that all doctors or hospitals in India so this. I've worked in 3 private hospitals in Karnataka and Kerala ive never seen such practices like ventilating dead bodies or overprescribing or overtesting because of corporate pressure. I have seen overtesting because doctors are scared of getting sued or beaten up in case of mistake. Also i totally agree about insurance problems. I have faced that myself. Doctor referral commissions does exist but I'm hoping this isn't being done unethically. Again i can't tell about everyone I'm sure there are many crooks and horrible doctors. But majority of the doctors i have interacted with and myself try to emulate are ethical and highly dedicated to their patients. Having said that i do hope that NMC and the government takes strict steps to make sure all healthcare workers and services are ethical and up to the standards

Let me tell an incident i know. It was in 1992 a man near our house in kochi once fell from a coconut tree when he, he was taken to a super speciality hospital . When he was admitted in the hospital there wasn't much life left, still the hospital kept him in icu for 10 days. Finally they pronounced him dead, but if his family had to collect his body they first had to pay 8 lakhs. Thats a big amount then. A brain dead person was kept in icu for ten days on ventilator just to collect money
Second incident happened in trivandrum, some relative of our had high fever no other symptoms, he was taken to KIMS and they admitted him, next day doctor told his kidney is not functioning and by 3rd day his body looked bloated. Here too he was in ICU where nobody is allowed. Family doesnt know what's happening inside. The next day he died. He was a perfectly normal guy with no other health conditions, can u believe he died on 4 days. And they gave a hefty bill to the family , first pay and then take the body. We felt the doctors gave some wrong medicine which effected his kidney, but will they take the blame??? Even the wife didn't file a case against the hospital for medical negligence, because they know how the management can buy anybody with money.
There are 2-3 other incidents similar to these happened during covid times.
Another incident happened to my daughter who was like 5 then, we went to an ENT to remove ear wax, when i was asking doctors about frequent recurring throat problem of my daughter. The Dr asked me you have insurance right, bed is available, admit her and we will do tonsillitis removal. Here the only thing dr needed was insurance. 😮. I never returned to that dr ever again.
So how do we trust a hospital or its doctors. We know all are not same, but with such experiences...where is the trust.

@@L5-YT yes the family is not allowed inside ICU. But even if allowed inside might be difficult to understand what's going on with the patient. There really are many diseases which initially present as fever but can cause kidney failure. And you cannot say that patient was dead on the ventilator. The patients that are cognitively non responsive will look like that to any lay person. Also if the family explicitly tells no please take him off ventilator the hospital will obviously listen to them. Even then a family has the right to demand the current records and get a second opinion from another doctor and i encourage everyone to do this if they don't trust the treating doctor. Sometimes the doctor might be trying but doctors are not Gods and there are still many many things that we don't know. And in the end, after the second opinion you still feel like the treating doctor has done a grave mistake, one should file case for medical negligence.

@@mohit6941He used the correct logic bro 🙂
So agar Doctor jese profession mein peso ke bhuke log aayenge toh it's normal 😊

My father was admitted in Apollo Hospital Indore last year due to heart attack. He went through angioplasty and it failed affecting his lungs. Doctors instead of letting us know the reality kept performing all sort of treatments and surgeries on him. He finally went into coma when Tracheostomy was performed on him and passed away.

Hey Gaurav.. great video.. as a fellow dr I'd like to add one more point in how to save the common population from such scams.. these malpractices are more commonly undertaken by pvt.physicians/ corporate hospitals.. If the pts can spare time please go to a govt. Practicing physician for an opinion , since they've worked for the social cause a long time, they'll rarely misguide a patient. Govt. Needs to spend more on free/ affordable Healthcare in govt.hospitals so that more and more public can benefit. Lack of Dr's in rural areas force patients to go to quacks who don't own any degree in real life , yet treat patients and make them worse only to refer them to pvt hospitals antibiotic resistance is an emerging volcano and only educated patients can avoid it.. also you never mentioned about the pharmacists who prescribe costly medicines and antibiotics left & right to the innocent rural folks. Health system is collapsing and pointing fingers only on the doctors for everyone else's sham will never be enough

Very well put sir. However, you missed the high education cost of medical studies which has made education in medical colleges like a huge investment. And if a person has to take loan of lakhs to complete medical studies, he/she is going to think about recovering the cost first and then doing social service. Govt should, at least, make medical education completely free.

And this is how a poor dies 💔
    Getting poor services.
    Paying high fees through loans.
    Useless Surgeries through fake hypes.
    No knowledge about medical scams.
I still remembered how my *Mamu* died in covid period due to false treatment, he was just suffering from normal fever 💔🥺 but has given glucose bottles with no reason

Yes it happened with me in a famous hospital of Mumbai.
When i diagnosed of pneumonia in 2014 they admitted me and I listened thair conversation they decided admission will be 48 days unnecessarily.
They told my family for 2 days and after that thay informed my family she is in coma for 10 days, and they keep saying my family different different things like this.
Whenever my family used to come to meet me they used to give me some medicine to show me weak and everyday they where used to mention 100 degree feve which is lie. Once i upposed to do this but they laughed on me.
