@tyronevonchadley, how about if in the beginning they were convinced and hold tightly not to break the covenant. Do you think there is ever a guarantee?
@@recklessburn4724 this is your view and opinion. Truly your values are different. For those who believe in Jesus and the Bible it is not a contract but covenant (the Bible itself says it, these are not my words). If you do a research and check its meaning you will see the difference.
@Trueheart2024 - Really? Where's the Bible actually say that? Churches say it, but the Bible doesn't. In fact, the Bible says virtually nothing about marriage. There's no wedding ceremony, no discussion of how or where to marry or who should perform the service or even if one is needed or who you're allowed to marry. There's stuff about adultery. Jesus mention God having joined them, but nothing about how.
Excellent information here. I am 52m, never married and no kids. My conclusion: marriage for men today *is* a risk, particularly when marrying a woman with value in the dating marketplace. Analogies: going to a restaurant where there is 50% risk of food poisoning; buying a new car with 50% risk of it exploding; buying a new house with 50% risk of it catching on fire. Sadly, this happens on a daily basis to men, demolishing them financially and emotionally.
How high is the divorce rate if you exclude the people who have had children before they are married and are married at 23 or younger? They often also have financial problems.
Actually for a man in 2024 marriage is the worst thing you can do because you will lose everything as-well your mental state for you have everything to lose.
So first marriages,,, and one of the spouses was married before, puts the marriage into a second marriage stat category? What if that marriage has been 26yrs together before a crisis? That would mean there was some commitment there, right?
When many women use the Kardashians & social media as role models, it creates a terrible situation for marriage, no one said marriage was going to be happy or fun, it has ups & downs, & vows are for a reason, there should be zero incentives to get divorced. Unless you’re getting cheated on or beaten & have kids you shouldn’t ever get divorced!
I was married twice. I tried to seek counseling for my exes but they both refused. The first was happier doing drugs with her friends and being in gangs. The second ex walked out to be back with her family because she didn’t want to be in Texas where we trying to have a life. My first ex was 29 (older than me) and my second ex was 24 (younger than me) at the time they walked out.
I went to marriage counseling when I came back from the Gulf War, because the command ordered it. Not only pointless, but also great if you like fighting.
It's always worth it! Marriage is God's design/plan,. His Word starts with marriage and ends with marriage,. Divorce is the biggest spiritual, emotional, social, and economical downfall of our country. Marriage is to mold us in Christ's image... selflessness, sacrafice, suffering, devotion, commitment. He endured. He did not quit. Forgiveness 70 x 7 in a hour...every hour.
Married 28 years here. I can definitively say: not worth it. Simply put the most overrated institution on the planet and nothing more damaging spiritually, emotionally and financially. You don’t have to be married to be molded into Christ’s image. Even the Bible says it takes you away from God.
Lifelong devotion to a job ended sometime shortly after WW2 or possibly during the Great Depression. When your boss was a friend or neighbor or close relative, staying on was easy. When bosses became nameless faceless people you didn't know, or corporations, who would fire you at a moments notice, loyalty was entirely one-sided. Men have become less committed to women as women have become more blatantly unfaithful. Coupled with the ever increasing pressure on men to be more, do more, etc., it just not worth it anymore.
I don't think they should be mandatory at birth because much of that cost will fall on taxpayers and if she's not sure who the biological father is it's just wasting funds but it definitely should be mandatory before a court issues judgement on a man to pay child support.
@thezebraking there is a huge benefit. Your self awareness is different, so and you change inside out. It is a long list with benefits. Two are better than one
I think people who work in the office and administration industry are pretty good at taking care of paperwork, so they get divorce if they want to; how many people don’t get divorce just because they’re intimidated by paperwork or find it a hassle…?
Never sign a contract with someone who is incentivized to break the contract.

Yes, and someone who will change radically during the term of the contract.

Sounds like you dodge a bullet - twice. Be smart, don't do it again.
OK, when two women walk out on you and one does drugs because they feel better than you... oh, boy, what does that tell us about you? ;-)

No it’s not u cheap pick me. Last time I check Jesus was unmarried, celibate, and childfree. Marriage is funeral with a cake and a business.
Yes I agree it's alllllll worth it without the STATE involved!

Men’s advocate says paternity test should be mandatory at BIRTH.
They absolutely should.
And for people who don't know... it's because one in three men who get a test find out that they aren't the parent.
I don't think they should be mandatory at birth because much of that cost will fall on taxpayers and if she's not sure who the biological father is it's just wasting funds but it definitely should be mandatory before a court issues judgement on a man to pay child support.
