You can tell it still has a 6volt starting system.

My dad restored a 1948 Super M and when you started it, it ran on gas and when warmed up……..I kid you not you pulled a lever and it would cough and would switch to diesel!! One side of the block had a carburetor and the other a diesel pump. Wide front axle and I believe a rare tractor these days. I wish we still had it!

That's amazing they used to do crazy stuff! Did it have a Pony motor or literally a mulit fuel engine?

@@alexmatthews2332 all same engine….one side had a carburetor and the other side a diesel pump….started using gas and when warmed up you back off the gas lever and raised the diesel lever. It would cough and then you were humming with diesel!

No kidding needed - The MD and Super MD are legends. Nothing more satisfying than snapping it over into diesel and hearing it bark then the whole voice of that engine changes.

What a Great/Famous Tractor I’m hoping one of these days I’ll find one and restore it and take it to shows and add it to my antique Tractor Collection I have a 1960s IH 424 1952 Cub and a Ford 3000

No need for the hand crank on this one , a good battery and it’s first crank every time

Good working tractors whether they're shiny like new or still in their work clothes
