I just got my permit and trying to figure out what’s next. I just came cross your video. This has got to be God telling me I’m going in the right direction. Thank you for sharing
Congratulations to you all🎉🎉🎉, I'm so nervous to call the recruiter to sign up for classes to get my CDL because I didn't know you have to take an ELDT test before the CDL.
I am currently struggling, living paycheck to paycheck, and have no direction in life and I am so sick and tired of it! I am so sick and tired of living this way and I want a better life than this! So, I quit smoking weed two months ago and have been studying to get my CDLs so that I can level up my life and have financial security! This was a very inspirational and motivational story! Thank you so much for sharing your story. This is definitely a sign to get my CDLs and finally have the security I so desperately crave!
it’s the fact that when you get your cdl , it’s never gone be no trucks always gone be jobs plus you got the license you can always go back to trucks that’s a big benefit fr .
I start cdl school in almost 4 months, community college. Using the downtime to learn pretrip at home, doing my research on a lot of companies. I have faith that I will eventually find a trucking job fresh out of school. I stay in a small town which is a plus kinda nervous about the process great video.
That’s exciting! You will definitely find a job immediately out of school. Trucking is one of those fields where you can quit one job and have another one by the next day. Wishing you luck on your journey ❤
This is def for me I’m coming from living in poverty working warehouse jobs etc wanting to have my beauty brand and provide for my kids I am now choosing to show up for me Crazy bc my anxiety is trying to scare me away but I’ve come too far to give up now I’m going to take these 6m-1yr and soak up everything I can not letting anything turn me away from my career bc good/bad comes with everything and long as I go in knowing and telling myself that ima be okay Then hopefully later on down road I can pour back into my hood I’m so excited for this journey to start girl Thank you for the video every part I felt in my heart ❤
When I first started, I had a lot of anxiety but I would make a promise everyday to always do what’s safe for me and the people around me. This taught me a lot of patience & when I knew I was unsafe because of a lazy trainer, I left and went somewhere else. Don’t let fear hold you back but also be aware of when you’re actually In compromising situations & when it’s just your mind trying to protect you simply because you’re scared.

This is very inspiring! I’ve been watching your videos and I love how you’ve created a totally unique life which doesn’t fall into a trucker stereotype. I taught overseas and have been working in warehouses-this looks like a really solid option. Thanks for all this content!
I love this video. Can you talk more abt the cons of truck driving. Like what comes with that? I asked because I work as a server and today I happen to serve a truck driver and I told him how I was also interested in becoming one.. he was telligg by how it was the best thing he’s ever done for himself despite the lack of respect he gets. I ask him what he meant.. he said most ppl think that truck drivers are lazy, dumb and stink and that ppl typically don’t respect them although they are one of the most essential ppl in the country. When he said that I almost had a change of heart because I am abt my respect and unfortunately I’m one to care what others think even if it doesn’t apply to me. How do you navigate that and not let that get to you? Do you even encounter that?
I’ll definitely do a video on the cons of truck driving. One thing I can tell you is how you present yourself matters. A lot of drivers don’t put effort into their appearance and maybe that plays a part in why they’re treated that way. Most days when people see me in the truck, they can’t believe I’m a driver. I dress up most days. Hair, nails, light makeup, perfume, etc. I’ve experienced some negatives but that doesn’t stop my $ one bit.
So after you left prime did you go o/o and what’s considered a 1099 trucking job….. I just graduated cdl school feb 6,2024 and am starting training with Schneider to get my experience I’m so w you on being able to provide for birthdays etc I’m getting into it to invest in my lash /beauty business I’m so ready for this new chapter ❤
Your story is amazing &I'm loving every bit of this for you. I'm practically 50, upgraded from classB to A. B paid me $71k home everyday. Never any wknds. How can I find a job to drive whenever I want &take off whenever I want? My son has issues &its just us so i need to be present now more than ever!
Hi, if the B paid you 71k I’d roll with that tbh. Otr drivers are dealing with brokers not wanting to pay well so the rates aren’t what they used to be. You could work for a smaller company that is 1099k and they may pay you better but you won’t have the freedom you’re speaking of. In this case, it seems like being able to be home daily is the best option.
Hey, when you say booking a load and going on vacation, sounds amazing. But just was wondering are you a owner operator or that’s working for a company?
Do you think I can do this and go to school online..............will I have enough time, and do you ever have any safety concerns when you have to park the truck at rest stops by yourself???
@@ashockablack1670 you could definitely do this and take classes online especially if you drive solo.. you’d get 10hrs off a day then a 34hr break almost weekly. I’d say get a feel for trucking first because you may be tired until you’re used to it. As far as safety, I will park but I don’t get out to go in rest stops at night. There’s always a truck stop you can go to.
Most local trucking jobs will ask for 1yr experience because it’s harder to drive in the city. You can consider bus driving, shuttles, etc. or a dedicated route.
If you get a year in a half then you can go to a gas company for example ( gen-ox, messers, air product, etc with them you can bring home $2800- $3500 every week
How long can you be away from OTR until you decide to get back on the road or do they contact you when they need you? I noticed you said that you were home for a month and a half. Is it your choice when you go back out?
It depends on who you work for. Good truck drivers are in high demand so most places won’t make a big deal about how long you stay home as long as you give proper notice and you’re not asking to go home every other week. I know so many people who take the snowy season off. They know it’s easy for you to get another job.
Let me ask you this question why don’t you buy a house so that you can lay your head on Because if you are spending money on an apartment and it’s not yours. Or buy a car then you can say this is mine. And you can not take it away
How are you so sure I don’t already have an investment property/properties? Furthermore, I love where I live for so many reasons. It’s the absolute best situation for me right now. Also, who can take my car from me? I want people on the internet to remember they are strangers who don’t have a real clue what someone’s personal life looks like beyond what they are being shown.
@@ChaeBeauty hey you might have it or you might not but you don’t Bragg about where you came from because you can always loose everything in Atlanta and bring you back to New Orleans so be thankful for getting a opportunity to be successful. And also a little advice from a real gentleman I have 35- years of man and marriage experience when can tell a young lady to put in her two weeks notice at a job all I want you to do is take care of the house and kids and she was a manager and she never look back since .
