if you make a very complex shape can you cast it in plaster by melting out the wax some how? thats the issu i have at the moment. its not possible to make a mold in sand because tand goes in to small compartements amd it breaks when i want to remove the ring
Using investment is the way to go when casting you can get very fine detail but you do need a kiln to burn out the wax .We do have a video ( HOW TO DO SILVER CASTING ) which shows how we cast and do the burn out .. hopyfully this is helpfully ..

That's Matt Wax brand correct? The green is extra hard and very brittle.
It's harder but not brittle...this is good for hand carve wax for me.
