Man you my yard man from now on. I needed help with my yard on my just about everything. I couldn't get nobody to explain these things to me. Thanks so much ☺️ thank you so much for the simple way you explain things. A simple gal needs simple instructions....will be following you on the rest.
Thank you for taking the time to make such an informative video. I'm going to try this and see if it will keep Japanese beetles away from my spring snow crabapple tree and Redbud.
I use this on my crepe myrtle tree to protect it from Japanese beetles. I have 24 shrub roses that I use BioAdvance liquid systemic for roses for Japanese beetles. Both formulas are easy to apply diluted to the base of the tree or rose bushes. Both formulas keep my roses and tree Japanese beetle free.
I think you may be using too much water. I have been applying this since 2018 and have just done so once again in 2023. According to the instructions on the one-gallon concentrate bottle (approx. USD 80.00), the 3 ounces per foot of shrub height goes into one gallon of water total, not into one gallon per foot of shrub height. For example, a 12 foot tall shrub/hedge would require 36 ounces in one gallon total of water to apply and not 36 ounces in 12 gallons of water. It's similar for trees: one ounce per inch of tree circumference all into one gallon total. If the circumference is more than 50 inches it goes into 2 gallons total. There is no water volume adjustment for either shrubs or trees based on the circumference/height of the plant (except for a circumference greater than 50 inches). In both cases (shrubs and trees), add a bucket of clean water after having first applied the BioAdvanced solution. All of this is right from the product label/instructions and has remained unchanged from 2018 through 2023.
Good instructions. Just picked up the liquid, but now after you explained the granular type wish I got that one instead. Thanx for a good instructional video.
This stuff is a MUST for Honeydew! I cannot stand that mess all over my vehicles! Here's the best question.... Do you apply around the "DRIP LINE" of the tree or is it just as effective to apply around the base? Great info !
This is a great video series. The price is going to kill us. We have about 30 or more 15 foot ficus trees surrounding our place. We also have a lot of Possums, racoons, and cats around. I was going to use the liquid concentrate, but its a lot to pour. I think I can trench the trees a bit and cover it. Now to figure out what to cover it with
Thanks. I am trying to fight against lateen fly. I want them to leave my trees. They have taken a liking to our birch and maple trees. Please comment if anyone has had success against laternfly. Right now they are in nymph stage red. And the barrier tape did help . It’s so expensive but I think many are escaping these tape traps . Once they are full grown adults it will hard to trap them by tree barrier tapes
I don’t think this will work completely, I’d recommend spraying it with a chemical agent once the crawlers come out, sometime in August depending on your area, and trimming your tree of the affected branches. This may be a thing you have to treat cyclically with both the systemic ground treatment and the later chemical treatment on the branches. I’ve seen this kill really tall magnificent magnolia trees, luckily yours doesn’t look too tall so it should be easier and more affordable to treat. If you have any other magnolias on your property, you should be treating them at the same time to avoid any other infestations. Good luck.
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral sorry I understand now it’s 3 oz per gallon … one gallon of mixture per inch of the tree or shrub thanks I just found your channel

This weekend I will be implementing many things that I have learned from watching your videos in my yard, thanks for making things clear and simple.

I use this in my boxwoods and it works great. Good video byd
Thanks
Awesome video, thank you so much. Trying desperately to get rid of Japanese beetles on my rose bushes.
Always good info with BYD
Which one would you say it is more effective for trees such as Aspen, liquid or granular? I had a severe infestation of aphids and blackspot last year
Liquid works faster when you’re dealing with that issue.
"You don't walk out the house without applying lotion especially in the winter time!"...No sh*t, BYD!!! 😂
Thank you!! Very knowledgeable and informative. The directions aren’t easy to understand. To me they weren’t.

The directions suggest the drip 💧 line, but yes I’ve applied directly to all around the base 🤷🏾♂️
Thanks for your help!
You’re welcome
Trying this now hope it works , have white flies alll over my minosa. How fast do tou see results ussualy.

Can this be used in the yard as a systemic insect preventative? St. Aug in Central Florida.
what do you do with shrubs that have too many branches to count and have already bought the product in dry form (capsules).?
Thanks. There are no instructions on my bottle. Only a ton of stuff that someone my age already knows
👍🏾👍🏾
This stuff is the most expensive out of all the products I use. Granted once per year. I'd like to know when this stuff goes on sale.
I buy it off season. Walmart normally marks it down to half price.
Will this work against oak cynipids?
You’ll need to check the label online for that.
@@BYDonBermudaGrassCentral ok will do thank u
Can I use it to any plants
How do I open it
Huh?
I think your suppose to pull back all mulch with a rake then apply
What do you recommend for fruit trees?
That Dr 🌎 earth product stated it can be sprayed on edibles.
Would you recommend this for fig trees
Not if you plan on eating them.
does it kill wormcasting
This product is not made for that
What about bagworms on my Japanese Maple 🍁
Not sure about those but check the label for listed insects that’s it covers.

You’re welcome
Hi man I like your videos.
Do you have chemicals to retard the growth of the Bushes..
Thanks
You can use a PGR on bushes or Shrubs but at a lower rate

Good video
