Kris, I love my 2020 Taycan 4S. 91k miles on it. I wanted to say one feature you mentioned as new has been on the car for quite a while in the US at least. At 6:25 you mentioned the down arrow and ability to see the charging stops and times, etc. I use that feature all the time in my car. The other features would certainly be nice and the 15% larger battery pack would be great, however, I’m not ready to re-spec another car. I had selected about 40 options for my vehicle and I really appreciate all of them. I only wish I had also gotten the massaging seats. Kind of a first world problem I know. 😂 I’m still waiting for charging infrastructure to get more plentiful and reliable, but it certainly seems to be improving though not at the speed I would like. Thank you for this video and all your various videos.
1:59: "You don't want wake up your kid". What? By closing a door? C'mon, when a kid is asleep, you’d have to throw them against a wall to wake them up.
I recently test drove a ‘25. I currently have a ‘22 CT4S. I agree with all the positive comments. However, one thing I’m disappointed in was the removal of the regen button on the left side of the steering wheel. Loving your Taycan videos!!
I've moved from a '22 CT4S to a '25 a week ago. the removal of this button is the best move they've made IMO. before, I always had to push that button right after starting the car to turn regen on. now you can just program it to be on (or off if you prefer) in the car settings and you're set.
Hi Kris, I’m danish, living in Switzerland. I own a 4S Cross Turismo MY23 and absolutely love it! What you mention at 6:30 about navi improvement sounds like the Range Manager. It’s an OPTION for pre-facelift models (fairly inexpensive). I couldn’t live without it as I do frequent long commutes. If you don’t have it on yours, I highly recommend you buy or lease it.
Soft close doors are an interesting feature. Most people don’t know you have them so close the door normally! Only if you know does the function have any value!
The Taycan’s software is designed to push your patience to the edge. Probably the worst software I’ve seen in a new car in years (had to set the video playback speed to 2x when watching the "navigation" part of this video😀). The Macan is miles ahead (and yes, I know you love these comparisons!).
@@BrasilEmFatos yes me too - it's the market. After one year the car is as good as new and you can make a great deal, which I did with my EV Mercedes just now.
The problem is for those that they choose to buy new cars.. they bought something around 150 K and now costs around 90k. Besides it is not so good idea to buy used EV’s and especially if they don’t have extended guarantee… don’t forget that 27,000 taycans they were recalled last week…
@@clubbizarre nope, that one is not there, I have only the right thing (4 adjustable lines of info), where there's battery temperature and battery percentages.
It is pretty ridiculous that Porsche doesn't provide some of these software updates OTA to existing cars. It's still Tesla vs everyone else in providing free updates to your car over time.
"if your kid is sleeping" is something people without kids would say. my kids either fall asleep in the car or the sleep while i take them out both of which situations you don't need soft close doors VERY RARELY do you put a sleeping child in the car
Are you saying I am lying about having a kid? 😅 pretty sure there is some video evidence about me having a kid on this channel buddy. But just to entertain that thought. Imagine a world where all kids don’t act 100% identical 🙈🙈
@KrisRifa in a nutshell, i apologized how it came across. Totally my bad. I know you have at least 1 kid. Not all are the same ofc. I love your videos about taycan because i plan on purchasing a used one. Love your videos about YOUR 2.5 year old taycan Subbed
Catch up? Dude, you have clearly never driven a Taycan if you think a Model S is superior. All the Tesla has going for it is different (some may even say better) packaging, more range and a lower price. In every other important way the Porsche is better.Better looks, better interior, better materials, better ride, better handling, better steering, better brakes, faster charging, better quality, better heat management of the battery, better seats, more reliable, etc etc
@@VitaValka No. The older Model S already was faster than the Taycan. And choosing to charge less than 80% is a whole lot different than dont or it might burst into flames...

The Porsche Taycan is an amazing car!
Given how large infotainment screens have gotten in cars, this one looks so tiny! Feels like a 2018 car.
Love your reviews can’t wait to own a cross turismo as my next car!
Cruise control on steering wheel is so much better! I miss it from my Volvo S90
Nope! Owned two XC90s from 2016-2020, and drove them 140tkm. Stalks are so much better!
@@KrisRifa I agree with you!
what camera do you use to record??
I bought 4s with 18k km in Zurich. After 2 weeks dead car. I found that car had a lot of problems😮. Now I have more…

@@Yonathanj8 thanks!
Lovely car. Thanks for another interesting video. But how many families with children do you think buy a Taycan, weak doubt to soft close
Well, I have children and I have one. And around wheee I live it is a very common family car. So quite a few.
Will you buy this new base Taycan? Or it does feel slow in comp. to 4S? (With perf. battery)
I wish they could improve the depreciation first…
That´s a positive and negative - if you have money - no problem buy it. If you lack funding wait and you can afford it in some time.

That's not a negative for me. I can buy a 20k kilometers 19month old well equipped taycan for a 50% discount 😂
which of the pure software updates can you get in a gen1 taycan via software update at a Porsche Center?
I have a 2021 car and it has all the map (center screen) related features as well.
@VitaValka also the battery status indicator gauge for the left third of the cockpit screen? As shown early in the video?

@@natemorin Porsche actually does OTA updates. Small ones. Big ones must be done at dealer's place, I guess because of the data size.

Sorry but that’s not correct. Pressing push to pass doesn’t give you the same power as launch control.
What does it give then? Are you saying this car has three different power outputs? Any source for that?
Yes it is true. Push to pass gives FULL power for 10 sec
Took the best perf car company in the world 3 years to catch tesla (plaid). But....dont charge over 80%! Also the transmission is dumb.
Wasnt a Plaid reaction to first gen Taycan? And the 80% rule applies (is reccommended) to all car batteries for longevity… no?
