Born and raised in the south...Definitely never seen this take on it. Appears the dish originated in SC...which I do not consider southern...because I'm further south. Most instances of shrimp n grits around here have a Cajun origin to them. But your take on the dish is very interesting and looks really good. This food made my mouth water! Looks sooooooo delicious! The only thing is I don't want my creamed corn on top of my grits, but there are so many ways to prepare and serve food. Yum yum! 😀
