If you are young, attractive, thin, healthy then you might be able to get away with looking slightly disheveled. If you are ugly though, obese, or having health conditions then any type of wrinkled clothes, or wearing thin athletic wear will really not help you. I would have to only wear like shorts and thin t shirts and I would have to wash them constantly. It takes an EXTRAORDINARY level of work and planning to maintain that kind of lifestyle. To work, sleep in a car, go to a laundromat all the time, find food, find bathrooms, find showers everyday. When the job calls mandatory overtime it just makes it all the more brutal.

New subscriber. Wow, this was a great video for me. I am not full time, but take extended trips in my vehicles. I have a no build that I have used in three different vehicles. Everyone always asks why I didn't get a roof top storage box, but to me being an older verticality challenged woman, it just doesn't make sense. I am still paring down and streamlining my rig but next winter I feel, I will have my extended 2+ month setup dialed in. I will watch travel content as well as just a day in your life as well. Thank you for taking us along on your journey. Safe travels.
i agree BUT if the music was very very faint i think it would be a nice touch, in this video i feel like it was drowning out your voice. Great video though :D
Thanks for sharing this video. The information on battery power is very useful. I just bought a SetPower refrigerator, game changer for me, no more ice!
With many years of experience packing for a family for road trips that included camping, trying various setups (tent trailers, cargo boxes, etc), we would always go back to the simplest. Now a solo traveler, I still prefer taking as little as possible, but enough to be comfortable and have what I need for my interests. At campgrounds, I've met people who were traveling cross-country by bicycle or on foot doing the Pacific Crest Trail, carrying on their backs or bicycles everything they needed. A car is luxurious in comparison. I've seen a lot of videos of people showing their rigs, often mentioning that they had too much stuff and never used a lot of it.
Thanks for watching! I think when i started out i thought i needed every accessory and piece of gear to make my setup "complete". So much i have learned since then
One thing he didn't mention about the Jackery vs the Battery, you can only use the battery directly with 12v products. If you want to convert that 100AH/12v battery to 110 AC, you need an inverter. The jackery comes with the inverter. And the size of the inverter you have depends on what items you can plug into it and run. Do not plug your 1500 watt hair dryer into a 240w Jackery or inverter. If you are just using it to charge up your phone, your computer tablet, those are low wattage and low voltage items and that works ok. If you are going to use the big battery to power big appliances (110v / 15 amp), you need to be sure you have a properly built system with fuses and safeguards to keep you from being electrocuted and fire hazards.
@@HollyKelley-e6n Yes, if what you mean by a "jupiter inverter" is this: Jupiter Power Inverter 2000w (4000w Peak) converts vehicle 12v DC to House 120v power 3-120v AC outlets 1-2.1AMP USB plus protection from hi/lo voltage, high currents, high temp & short circuit. Just be careful how you wire it to the car battery. However, I would be more likely not to connect it to the car battery for power. I would prefer a standalone battery for that. It would suck big time to find out you ran your car battery out of power and was stranded in the boonies. There are a lot of low wattage inverters that are cheap, they will not power your hair dryer or skillet. This channel has a lot of information, Will is very good at explaining this. www.youtube.com/@WillProwse
I had no problems with the music and could hear you very well- this is a good video! This is how you choose to live and you live as close to comfort as your needs dictate- there’s SO much hype out there regarding car/van living! It’s refreshing to see a realistic portrayal of basic car living that actually works!
Yeah, I'm 6 months deep into my doing all my car dwelling research. I just found your channel. Very informative, hoping to build up my own stealth setup soon. Have to remember, as much as I'm taking notes and learning from others such as yourself, that it'll be a trial and error situation for me too as I go. But, I certainly appreciate you sharing everything you've figured out that works for yourself. I'm going to definitely steal your cooking setup, though! The best plan I've seen so far makes sense for staying stealth. I am looking forward to you sharing more and eventually joining the lifestyle.
You're 100% right, it's all trial and error and different for everyone. Some people dont understand that and think it should be a mold to fit every person

@@RavRoving YUP! I've seen lots of car camper videos where people use the dual fuel, butane/propane, camp stoves. But dual fuel is an extra complication. (I use refillable 1 pound propane bottles. I can easily refill my propane bottles since I only part-time car camp.)

I have the same exact projector stand but never actually use it. I never thought to use it with my camping setup. I’m blown away by something so simple 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks! Great vid.
Very nice video. I like your point of view and cleverness. But the background music makes it almost impossible to watch. It's extremely annoying. It's a bad habit that a lot of youtubers have to add background music while they talk. I take the time to write this because I think that your content is worth it. Good luck!
Wow I'm glad I found you! Your explanations are easy to understand. I'm 70...not techie! I am moving into my van and appreciate all the help I can get thanks for your simplicity 😂
When you started this video talking about stealth but showing a vehicle with tailgate and roof storage, I had my doubts. I'm glad you understand that isn't stealth and did something about it. There are so many people making "stealth" videos on UA-cam these days, and they are anything but. It's good to see someone setting that straight. Not only that, but you decided to make stealth your priority. This is getting more and more important as time goes by. More and more cities and states are creating legislation regarding sleeping in vehicles, confusing the houseless with the homeless (not that they don't deserve a place to sleep as well). I looked at your channel and I subscribed; I hope you do continue to post regularly, as you said you will. We need more intelligent content! Thank you for the video!
You're just like me with the slowly removing things you don't really need. I'm in a corolla so it's on another level. Around every 2 to 3 months or so I'll take everything out of the car and as I put things back in I ask myself "did I really use this and is it worth the space?" If not I remove it. Welcome back! I enjoyed watching your older videos and am glad to see a new one was made. The music was a nice attempt but just your voice is better! 😊
@RavRoving You're welcome and thanks for the interesting content! I also have a Toyota Rav4 that I live out of, but mine is super stealthy so it's not obvious that I live out of it. I was actually looking for setup tips, and that's how I first found your channel. I'm considering creating my own channel since I've learned a lot these past 4 years living out of my car full time. I look forward to watching your future content!
Very informative and practical. Like your explanation of Watt hours vs Amp hours. Best advise I would add is "simply do it with what you have". Too many people suffer from paralysis by analysis. You don't need to be perfectly setup to begin. The best information is found through experience, or as Maverick (Tom Cruise) would say, "Just do!"
All these folks are talking about the music being too loud. Its only the infomercial style thats really the problem. Youre doing great. If they dont like it they dont have to watch. But like I suggested before, try music closer to your personal style. Chrome likes adventurous hard Americana music, Emi uses light funky music, and Mateo uses his own.. its all up to you fam
I saved enough over the last few years . I paid cash for my 2024 rav4 xle. I’m going to move into next year. I’m currently saving for all of my supplies.
Some really good ideas and tips, I would say, though, the music was very loud and intrusive. At times I could not hear what you were saying. I will check out your other videos.
Great setup. I'm an advocate of theLIFEPO4 pecron portable battery if people have the money for it. Name brand portable batteries are a rip off (and I'm saying that even owning a Jackery E1500.) I can use 100% of my Pecron and Jackery batteries but you can only use 50% of lithium batteries (portable batteries have a power management system so even at 0% there's a 20% reserve for the batteries health that's not included in their stated watt hours).
Im just finding out about "Hot Pots" Pots that you can plug up and cook with. I found a few online ranging from $15 - $25 ... hope this is helpful, I'm thinking it would be easier to manage then that large grill. cooking simple things like eggs, noodles or simply boiling water. 😊
I would not get a battery as it's options/adapters are limited and require buying separate adapters. I have a Ford fusion hybrid now but I can't see myself living in that as the front seats don't go flat to get a good sleep and the hybrid trunk is taken up by the drive batteries behind the rear seat. I want my Keurig coffeemaker and Instant Pot in the vehicle as well as a fridge.
"Paint It Black"!!! Lol That's how stealth I am. The whole inside of my minivan when the sliding door opens is Black! You can't see anything!!! It's like a dark hole!!! I save the bright colors and light show for the campgrounds. I look just like every soccer mom in my wealthy, nosey neighborhood. Beep-Beep!!! ☺️ ~ 🦋
Great video with extremely useful information. Where did you get your small table? The one you have your monitor/TV sitting on. Thanks, and keep posting!!!
Thank you!!! I found it. I've been looking for something like this for my no build minivan, and this is perfect. The charging station is a huge bonus. I'm a happy camper now!! 😄👍
Nice setup bro....Hey is that a tv that you could watch local free channels on or just monitor to play games and stream stuff from your phone .....what's the setup like 👍👍
Great content and insight, keep it up. Based on reading reviews for this specific battery, it has serious issues. Poor quality, many early life failures, and sometimes only delivered half of its rated capacity. There are alternatives that cost more but overall could be worth the added expense.
Hey mate. Just a few questions. I'm assuming you chose this lifestyle voluntarily. Do you have supportive family? A home base so to speak? Do you have a storage space anywhere, or have you refined everything you own into your vehicle? I've had an incomparably different life experience to your own, am older, and am involuntarily living out of my 2010 Rav. Be safe out there ✊🏻
What's up man! I do have supportive family but I live 1200 miles away from them. So the only home base I have is my storage unit where I keep my car seats and some other miscellaneous items
How do you secure your battery? I've been tempted to get one, but I don't have the knowledge to be able to install it securely. I drive a Dodge Journey SUV, and it has storage containers under the passenger seat floor.... I've been tempted to put a battery in there, but I don't know if they will stand up to the weight. With so many videos for Vans and minivans, I'm always excited to see videos for SUV setups!👍🏼👍🏼
@@RavRoving I see, 2 usb-s are good addition. Can you tell what battery terminal you use pls? I want to see how it look, as I probably will search for similar- but to charge a laptop and the drone
How do you get the battery hooked up to your car so it gets recharged? The battery's nut just sitting there alone unhooked is it? I'm looking on adding 2nd battery to my car instead of jackery. Thanks for the video
So i plug the cord that came with the battery and goes into a wall into my car while i drive. Since it's just a standard wall plug. If your car doesn't have a port for that they sell cheap 12v to 110v adapters too. That charges the battery. Makes it really simple to where i dont need a battery maintainer or inverter
@@RavRovingI bought an inverter for my Prius but this seems better I'm not understanding, you say you plug the cord that came with the battery into the wall of your car? Whats in the wall that you plug it into. Forgive my naivety. Did you make a plugin from something that's wired to your cars battery or engine and you plug the additional battery into that. Like I said, I have no knowledge of electricity but I want to get this set-up instead of inverter cause inverter can only be used while my car is on. Again thank you
@Shypoke no it's fine! My car has a outlet like one that is in a house. So i plug my battery into that. Some cars have it and some dont. And inverter will work just fine as well. My battery only charges when the car is on
You should make a video about how you plug in the battery in detail, like How you have a 110 plug in your car and how to plug the fridge computer etc… thanks for sharing 😊
Terrific and informative video, well done! I have a 2017 RAV4 and have been thinking about what I would need to live in it if necessary, your experiences really help. (definitely need fans for the hot Phoenix summer haha) I had seen your previous videos months ago, looks like you've made some really useful improvements. Which BougeRV fridge is that, if I may ask? I recently saw a rooftop storage container at Costco as well and it's tempting 😁Subscribed!
@@RavRovinghow long do you have to drive to charge up the battery? I have the same frig with a 2000 watt solar battery, it goes about 5 or 6 days before I need to charge it but I need to be stopped somewhere to put out solar panel. I haven’t driven around with it plugged into the car to see how much charge it gets.
Oh Boy, you went through a lot of trial and error. Coming from a backpacking background, I can see that a SUV almost gives you too much space so you end up taking things you typically have in a home. I get the same confusion when I go carcamping too. I do like the luxury of having a big fridge. Since you didn't seem to have solar panels, you must have to drive often to keep your battery charged up.
Hello, i am very interested in your video game setup. I am thinking of trading my switch lite to get a regular switch so it can dock, but i love your setup. Can you provide the items or links to the dock and screen and how you have it set. Is it all wireless?
@@RavRoving Do you have a link? Also, a picture of your set up of the lithium battery? I’m really considering this option in addition to my BLUETTI. I just don’t know much about converting electricity so it’s in a useable form for me. Please help! 😂

Well a lot of people considering this do have jobs. It would be a good idea to have 5-7 days worth of clothes to do laundry just once per week
No thanks, for a while maybe. I’ll take my recliner and some other comforts of home. Maybe for a vacation for me. But go for it.
Gonna be brutally honest here.
I struggle with the idea of living out of a backpack because of stigma at work.
As you all know people can be pretty brutal, especially coworkers.
If you are young, attractive, thin, healthy then you might be able to get away with looking slightly disheveled. If you are ugly though, obese, or having health conditions then any type of wrinkled clothes, or wearing thin athletic wear will really not help you.
Having clean clothes, a good smell, good hygiene is essential for surviving workplaces. I personally don't think I could maintain that at that level of minimalism.
Aside from a well thought out car dwelling setup, your vocabulary is excellent. That is so unusual this day and age.

Im just finding out about "Hot Pots" Pots that you can plug up and cook with. I found a few online ranging from $15 - $25 ... hope this is helpful, I'm thinking it would be easier to manage then that large grill. cooking simple things like eggs, noodles or simply boiling water. 😊
That sounds interesting, send me a link

Facts
Awesome vid, I'm coming on to 1 year in a couple weeks living full-time in my RAV4!
Nice! What year is yours?
@@RavRoving Mine is a 2010. Started with a Jackery and upgraded with two 2002 solar panels on top now.
Yeah definitely get what fits your needs best!
Useful information young man
Thanks!
this was so helpful to me thanks a ton
Thanks for watching!
you're living the dream! Nice set up
Appreciate that!
Absolutely fire setup. Great job.
I really appreciate that!
Great to see this!
Well put together video .. thank you!
Thanks for watching!
such a adorable suv
Ingenious ❤
"Paint It Black"!!! Lol
That's how stealth I am. The whole inside of my minivan when the sliding door opens is Black! You can't see anything!!! It's like a dark hole!!! I save the bright colors and light show for the campgrounds.
I look just like every soccer mom in my wealthy, nosey neighborhood.
Beep-Beep!!! ☺️

Lol i like that strategy!

Thank you for sharing this. It is very informative. How do you plug your devices into your battery? What kind of car is that?
Thanks for watching! I only use the battery to power my fridge, the other stuff I use my power station for
Great video with extremely useful information. Where did you get your small table? The one you have your monitor/TV sitting on. Thanks, and keep posting!!!
Thanks for watching! I bought it on amazon. It was only like 30 bucks

Thank you!!! I found it. I've been looking for something like this for my no build minivan, and this is perfect. The charging station is a huge bonus. I'm a happy camper now!! 😄👍
I'm living in a 2000 Toyota Sienna minivan.
Toyota is the best! You have more space than me im jealous
Nice setup bro....Hey is that a tv that you could watch local free channels on or just monitor to play games and stream stuff from your phone .....what's the setup like 👍👍
Thanks bro! It's was my monitor so I can play games with it
Great content and insight, keep it up.
Based on reading reviews for this specific battery, it has serious issues. Poor quality, many early life failures, and sometimes only delivered half of its rated capacity. There are alternatives that cost more but overall could be worth the added expense.
Appreciate that! I caught the battery on sale for around $100 so i decided to pull the trigger on it haha. Hopefully it holds up
Nice video man. Keep it up
Appreciate that brother
Enjoyed your vid👏🏽 consider tinting your windows?
I've thought about it. My back windows have a 30% tint i believe. Thinking about the front
Nice video. Greetings from Jamaica.
Thanks for watching! Greetings to you as well
living simple is best
True that!
Are you trying to keep it from falling over?
Interesting video, but did you have to include the background music? I found it very distracting.
Really good idea about the battery, BUT how do you connect it with your devices? USB, sockets? does it have adapter or something?
It has to usb ports built into it, but I primarily use it to power my fridge via the battery terminals
@@RavRoving I see, 2 usb-s are good addition. Can you tell what battery terminal you use pls? I want to see how it look, as I probably will search for similar- but to charge a laptop and the drone
Wave Inverter DC 12V to AC 220V ,found it :) + Car Battery Terminal Clip-on Cigarette Lighter Power Socket Adaptor 12v
Just found your channel and subbed, really good tips and advice.
Thank you!
Great video but the background music got a little loud at one stage drowning out your voice. Otherwise, it was very informative!
Appreciate that! I wont be including the music in my future videos
@@RavRoving ❤
How do you get the battery hooked up to your car so it gets recharged? The battery's nut just sitting there alone unhooked is it?
I'm looking on adding 2nd battery to my car instead of jackery.
Thanks for the video
So i plug the cord that came with the battery and goes into a wall into my car while i drive. Since it's just a standard wall plug. If your car doesn't have a port for that they sell cheap 12v to 110v adapters too. That charges the battery. Makes it really simple to where i dont need a battery maintainer or inverter
@@RavRovingI bought an inverter for my Prius but this seems better
I'm not understanding, you say you plug the cord that came with the battery into the wall of your car? Whats in the wall that you plug it into.
Forgive my naivety. Did you make a plugin from something that's wired to your cars battery or engine and you plug the additional battery into that.
Like I said, I have no knowledge of electricity but I want to get this set-up instead of inverter cause inverter can only be used while my car is on.
Again thank you
@Shypoke no it's fine! My car has a outlet like one that is in a house. So i plug my battery into that. Some cars have it and some dont. And inverter will work just fine as well. My battery only charges when the car is on
@@RavRoving Sorry to bombard you and thanks for answering, ordered the battery. God bless.
You should make a video about how you plug in the battery in detail, like How you have a 110 plug in your car and how to plug the fridge computer etc… thanks for sharing 😊
He's car is nicer than my house 😢😅😂
Thank you 🫡😂
You helped me a lot good info battery explanation thank you 🙏🏽💕

Just a question as I’m planning to live this lifestyle, where can you travel to? And as far as work, what do you do?
I'm a fedex driver
But I think with the Jackery, you can plug-in a few things it looks like with your battery. You can only plug-in once at a time is that correct?
You can hook up an inverter with multiple outlets to a battery to have that capability
The music is wayyy too loud when speaking about the battery, literally cant focus on anything you say. Great video otherwise. 😊
Noted! Thanks for watching
Good thanks
Great video! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Nice set up
Preciate that
Love it bro.
Appreciate it!!
I’ve just watched a video. It’s amazing. I know I’m very late, but I do got a question. How do you connect your battery? Do you have a video for that?
I use one of these cords
a.co/d/aH8FYy6
@@RavRoving thank you so much for replying back thank you. I’m considered thinking about doing my own journey camp. Any advice?
The music in this video is a little too loud. But other than that it's great, very helpful an informative for sure
Thanks for watching! It's the 23qt fridge from them. And nothing wrong with a rootop box, do what works for your build
Interesting idea about the batteries. I'm curious as to how long your battery will last... Do you know how many complete charges it's rated for?
The one i have is rated for 10,000 cycles. It has never died on me, and could realistically power everything for a couple days straight
How do you charge the battery on the go go? Is there a AC/DC alternator, charger or solar setup? What about toilet and shower?
I have an dc to ac inverter for when i drive. I use the bathroom at public restrooms and shower at the gym
VERY INFORMATIVE, HOWEVER THAT MUSIC IN THE BACK ....YIKES
Thanks for the info tc brother
Thanks for watching man
can you make a video on how you use your lithium battery and how you power things up?
Can you do a video on that battery? Do i need to buy anything else to go with it?
I'm actually filming a video about that today
@@RavRoving That's great! I have it in my cart over on Amazon. I'll watch for the video to release. Thanks :)
@originalsixx nice! I should have it done and posted sometime tonight
Yes I need a video on the battery as I have no clue what all that meant in this video 🙈😂
@Big_AL_Nowitzki hey go check out my video i just posted. I explained the battery
Hola, la batería la usas para cargar todas las cosas eléctricas? Y cómo la recargas? Gracias
Good stuff…thanks
Appreciate that!
Do that fan keep you cold enough I’m trying to figure a cooling option myself without breaking the bank
It takes the edge off. But most importantly it keeps the air circulating which makes it less stuffy
Yeah it took some time to figure out what was necessary!
Moving into my car in Louisiana on the first of July. Thank you for your advice and experience!!
Thanks for watching bro. Good luck with everything
Very beautiful LifeStyle 🐈⬛
Thank you!😅
@@RavRoving My pleasure 😁
Hello, i am very interested in your video game setup. I am thinking of trading my switch lite to get a regular switch so it can dock, but i love your setup. Can you provide the items or links to the dock and screen and how you have it set. Is it all wireless?
Now that I paused it I see you also have an Xbox, lol
What inverter did you choose for the lithium battery? Did you set it up with the battery or have a professional do it?
I actually dont use an inverter at all. I have a 12v socket cord that connects directly to the battery terminals
@@RavRoving Do you have a link? Also, a picture of your set up of the lithium battery? I’m really considering this option in addition to my BLUETTI. I just don’t know much about converting electricity so it’s in a useable form for me. Please help! 😂
Don't do this if your parents let you live with them. Save as much as possible while ur there! 3-4 years you can start ur life good. But if no parents, rent a room or live in ur car to save as fast as possible.
You have really good points, but some people actually like living in their car as well
@@RavRoving Respect to you if like living in a car. It's a good experience.
