It was cool seeing the place, You always seem to do your diligence when it comes to researching the products, I think its always a good idea to verify vin numbers / part numbers on the models. Example being the wrong engine number matched to wrong frame number sometimes on rebuilds you will see these numbers mismatched. Also get a good idea on the correct oil, filters, replacement parts that are common, good luck and looking forward to seeing which models you pick out.

Dude be careful buying those Chinese bikes, pretty much all of them are very poor quality. Don’t let the nice new plastics and decals fool you!! 😅 You’re much better off buying a Japanese bike that’s much older/ lots of hours. I don’t know what the market is like out there for buying used atvs… I’m out here in California so there’s a lot of used/ good quality bikes out here to buy, about $4,000 just for a used 400cc Honda atv that’s like 15 years old. $1,600-$2,000 for a brand new quad is cheap so if you get a couple years out of them before they get clapped out that’s one thing but don’t expect to repair them when the engine goes bad… a lot of those companies go belly up/ don’t offer replacement parts so be careful. If you’re gonna buy one of those knockoff bikes then make sure to get one that has an engine modeled after its Japanese counterpart (Chinese engineers basically copy pasting from Japanese engineers). That way after market parts are more obtainable/ more mechanics will be able to work on them… but even then… 😅🫣🫣 careful😂 just buy used Japanese if you can… love the channel. Respect for being a good ambassador for our country 🇱🇷🇱🇷 godbless the republic 🤙

Hi buddy how are ya? I’m glad you are having a good time in makati, ya it’s a different world from the rest of the Philippines!!
I ride a 570 tracker from bass pro shop. It’s a store branded attic cat, made in the USA. It’s a good quad and I use it around my portable sawmill to help move logs. It’s been a really good quad.If I were to buy again I think I would buy a Honda , as Honda has a shiftable transmission rather than a cvt drive belt.
A few fellas in my are have bought Chinese brands from tractor supply , they have lots of problems, and parts are very hard to get.
As the other fella said buy Japanese Honda is the best ya pay for it but will last a life time with proper maintenance. Just my two cents. Thank you for sharing, take care and God bless you and the family!!

If you're still in the research phase and are seriously considering a Chinese made atv/utv. Give CFMoto a genuine look.
I've not owned one, but they are everywhere here in Canada & the USA.
There are tons of reviews for them, and from the sounds of what I've heard from others, they are a reliable budget atv.
There's a good selection of aftermarket accessories for them.
The major gripes I've heard are about the clutch engagement being a little bit jerky when starting out from a stop. But that is fixed with an aftermarket clutch kit.
Other than that, the other common complaint is that they aren't able to stand up to the same abuse/performance as the brand names (Can-am, Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki). But for half the price (or maybe less in PH) and almost as good as quality, and can mostly keep up with the brand names, they are definitely worth a look. They are certainly popular in North America.

Never owned an ATV in Philippines but have had several Japanese model Enduro's ...buy something Japanese and plain vanilla, mainstream as parts can be a real problem to get down the road as many ATV's and motorcycles are made specifically for the Philippines market and there is just a lack of parts in the aftermarket and expensive. Oh yeah, they can "fix" it with what's available but it never runs the same again.

Hi there, just wanted to say how much Ive been enjoying the Makati series. When my wife and me travel to the Philippines, we usually make Makati our base and then go out from there around the island, so I find your perspective interesting since you live outside of Manilla proper. ATV prices are pretty cheap there, you couldn't get a new one here in California for that cost (granted those are probably made for that market and not the US), that Can Am Spyder is about 6k more expensive there probably because it is more of a US branded item for market. If you looking for another project to do at home, how about adding and total off grid solar system to your house there. It would be interesting to see how that works for you there (thats on my list to do once we move there as well) So thanks for posting and keep up the good work! Best Wishes!

@gjm456 Thank you, I noticed that when watching the Phillipena pea video and was wondering if that was the better option, or if cable internet was actually a viable choice for high speed streaming. I am often live online, so looked at the Starlink option and it's 599 installation here with 120 monthly for residential internet! But over there I heard starlink is less monthly. Thanks for your input!

I don't know what SeaDoo's and CanAm's run in other parts of the world or even other states here in the USA, but those prices that you showed compared to here in Florida are insane. Almost twice the cost of what they are here in Florida. It seems that's typical for North American brands that are imported to the PH. And the Chinese brands are not junk at all. With proper care and maintenance, they can last a long time. It's the yahoos that buy them, beat them to hell and never change the oil or do proper maintenance and then complain when it blows it up.

Wholly Shit balls!! $46K for a Can Am Spyder! I pay $19859.00 for my 2024's the Sea Doo GTX 130hp, my cost is 9989.00 and I sold my 2021 units for $7300. I have a few 2022 Can Am Defender 1000R's with around 3500 miles on them. I paid $14000 with adds (binimi roofs and window nets), I sold 5 of my units (50 total in our fleet) in November for $8500 each. Those are used for our offroad tours and we have a lake excursion so we have Sea Doo's. I have a few road units that I want to use in the Philippines, Rykers the 900cc Rally models, I have 8 that we use on a "special" occasion for clients during the winter months (Scottsdale and Cave Creek are great for street tours).

Unless I had a lot of money to burn, the small ATV's under 5k dollars seem reasonable. If ATV's were street legal, I would drive an ATV around Negros and the Dumaguete area over a motor scooter. I would rather be on four wheels than two wheels. I would also consider finding a Suzuki carry 4x4 with the 8 foot bed for the province. Do some mods like adding a wench and great off road tires. Probably have it all set up for under 10k dollars. I don't know 2024 prices but for 2023 prices, you can buy a plain Jane Ford Ranger XL 2.0 Turbo 4X4 manual transmission for 22k dollars. You can buy a Ranger Sport 4X4 for 29K dollars and a fully loaded Ranger 4X4 Wildtrak for 35k dollars. The Ranger Raptor is higher than the wildtrak and the Ranger FX4 is a little lower than the Wildtrak. So, unless I just had to have a 17k to 37K dollar ATV, I could get an amazing 4X4 truck and take it everywhere. I would only buy an ATV under 5k dollars, anything else is not practical.
