The Legend of the Devil's Bridge
The narrow rock bar above Göschenen has always blocked access to the Gotthard and thus the passage to the south. Building a bridge there therefore proved to be extremely difficult.
How difficult the situation was is shown by the legend, which tells of the unsuccessful efforts of the people of Uri to build a mule track through the narrow Schöllenen Gorge and to build a stone bridge at the point where the young Reuss pushes its way through vertical rock faces. In desperation, the Landammann cried: "The devil should build a bridge there!" Then he appeared and said: "I want to build you a bridge. But the first who will cross it should be mine."
The people of Uri agreed to the trade. After three days, a bridge actually arched over the Reuss. On the other side sat the devil, waiting for his reward. Instead of a person, however, the people of Uri sent a billy goat over there. "You may keep that," they cried, "here you have the first soul to cross the bridge!"
Full of anger, the devil tore the billy goat and got a huge stone with which he wanted to destroy the bridge again. Then an old mother came along, recognized him and carved a cross in the stone. When the devil saw this, he missed his target and the stone landed in the valley not far from Göschenen. He has been there ever since.

Der enge Felsriegel oberhalb Göschenen versperrte seit je her den Zugang zum Gotthard und damit den Übergang Richtung Süden. Dort eine Brücke zu errichten, erwies sich deshalb als ausgesprochen schwierig.
Wie schwierig die Situation war, zeigt die Sage, welche von den vergeblichen Bemühungen der Urner erzählt, einen Saumweg durch die enge Schöllenenschlucht anzulegen und eine steinerne Brücke an jener Stelle zu errichten, wo die junge Reuss sich durch senkrechte Felswände hindurchdrängt. In seiner Verzweiflung rief der Landammann: "Da soll doch der Teufel eine Brücke bauen!" Da erschien dieser auch schon und sagte: "Ich will euch eine Brücke bauen. Aber der Erste, der darüber gehen wird, soll mir gehören."
Die Urner willigten in den Handel ein. Nach drei Tagen wölbte sich tatsächlich eine Brücke über die Reuss. Auf der anderen Seite sass der Teufel und wartete auf seinen Lohn. Statt eines Menschen schickten die Urner jedoch einen Ziegenbock hinüber. "Den magst du behalten", riefen sie, "hier hast du die erste Seele, welche die Brücke überquert!"
Voller Zorn zerriss der Teufel den Ziegenbock und holte einen gewaltigen Stein, mit dem er die Brücke wieder zerstören wollte. Da kam ein altes Mütterchen des Weges, erkannte ihn und ritzte ein Kreuz in den Stein. Als der Teufel dies sah, verfehlte er sein Ziel und der Stein landete im Tal, unweit von Göschenen. Dort liegt er seither.

Jealous why? ATV is an all terrain vehicle. all you need is lights, turn signals, brake lights and a license plate on it. Most touring quads already have all of those. You pay taxes, its your road too. lol
Not legal to drive a "Wheeler" on the roads or highways in most of America. @@Breacher141
@@darrensquier4079 In Europe most ATV fall under the category of "tractor" or "farm equipment". Which means they can use public roads except highways if they are equipped with lights,blinkers,mirrors and a plate

hey, i'm so happy to hear that, it's so nice to hear when you can arouse people's interest in ATVs I think cf moto does a really good job, but I have one tip: get good advice and test drive the ATVs. For me the CfMoto 625 CForce is the perfect choice but depending on what your preferences are there might be a completely different choice.
but that's for sure, driving an ATV is fun 😁

I'm impressed especially with the time-lapse astro videography and the milky way making it's appearance. Great drone work to give us a beautiful scenic shots of your country. yes long distances by ATV can be tedious, but yes there are lots of beautiful places to reach. in the western alps it was really nice that everything was legally passable, or the dolomites are also buzzing around in my head 😁😁

If It still be some drivable...untill give a lock to Monte Verena Forte Verena arround Asiago. You we are tolking about smaller mountains (Arround 1500/2200 MT) but with a lot of freedriving Off Road way ..and a lot of interesting spors.🤙🤙😁.

I have the same quad bro amazing:) my personal preposition is that you buy road tires ... personally I have Michelin pilot 14 col and they are a game changer 🫡
Of course, if you only drive on the road, that's the best decision
But I think the Cforce625 is clearly an off-road vehicle and really powerful in this area.
That's why I try to use it as much as possible off the road wich is really not easy in switzerland
But yes, I can imagine how pleasant and smooth it would be to drive with the Michelin Pilot 14

Bei der St.Jakob Bergbahn kann man die bewilligung lösen.

Good video.. but to make this journey on paved roads, a truck is more practical and comfortable.. I have a Can Am 1000 and I use it for off roading. Greetings from Uruguay.
Are those carinthia sleeping bags? Carinthia makes ones for our military and they are incredible. Slept in one during winter, -10°C outside, all good.

Yes, both Carinthia Defence 4 sleeping bags, one I got from the military and the other I bought myself.
The coldest I have been was -11°C which was ok but next time I would take an inner sleeping bag with me. Carinthia states the comfort temperature as -9° and the limit as -16°
But it also depends on how old the sleeping bag is, how often it has been washed, and how it is stored when it is not in use. And then it really depends on how sensitive a person is to cold.
But yes, in my opinion one of the best sleeping bags.
Slovenia is awesome 🇸🇮 I've heard of beautiful off-road tours there, but I think the topic of wild camping is treated very strictly there

Depends. Here, wild camping is ok, unless you're sleeping on some farm land or a field. If you are not doing damage and if you stay respectful to the land, nobody will bother you about camping. I do it all the time, never had any problems in many years.

There is something that could help you with the videos of the drone, since I have the same model and I had to configure the FPS, which by default came to 30 FPS and you must change it to the maximum of 60 FPS and that was what produced the recordings did not look smooth. well that.
