I used another brand that offers the same thing, great to see that there are multiple options out there… makes such a difference when dealing with contoured helmets.
what brand did you use i need it for nolan n1005 helmet

I just ordered one of these for a helmet I bought for when I go Karting, waiting for it to arrive so watched this to see how to install when it does.
It’s been pretty solid
Mine came in recently & I’m about to put mine on. My husband put his on yesterday & he calls that safety string the “oh sh*t cord” 😂

I had issues with that 3m Tape. I would suggest SuGru. Moldable plastic. Many colors and you can get it off from a helmet with out any damage. Just let it set for 24 hours. Kept my go pro on my helmet for 2 years. The only reason It's not on there is I bought a new helmet.

Dude I’m having issues with their supplied tape on mount I emailed them and the shipped another mount free no cost but I only asked why so shitty tape. I put on my atlas 4.0
Just don't have any cash for camera gear. A lot going on this year. Still hope to get the Amish built garage. Price went up. Not sure now. We do need it.

My bikes are spread out between 2 sheds and a shipping container 😂

Unfortunately, it doesn't sit flush against my scorpion exo 420, worried my goPro might fall off.
sooo, how did that chin mount hold up? What is it made out of? Plastic? Aluminum? Any reccomendations to for getting your gopro in just the right place?
It’s 3D printed plastic.I’ve been using it ever since this install vid was posted and it’s holding up great.
I like the chin mount placement personally.
And how did it go? I just installed it, but Im a bit afraid it might loosen a bit over time (the chin one, not the one you weld)…??
I put JB weld around mine to make sure it does not come loose. Have been using it every since I posted this vid

Great so far. Recently did a trip to Moab, UT held up fine in higher temps
I purchased one 6 months ago, the adhesive is coming away from the mount and the helmet. Got in touch with chin mounts and they offered 20% a new one. Haha. They look cheap, feel cheap and the finish on them is cheap. That's my 6 month review.

I received the chin mount but idk how to install my go pro to it...
You should have some clips that come with the go pro.
How did it hold up? Mine fell off within 30 minutes of riding here in Florida.
I have been using it every since the install...
hmm, wonder if it has to do with the humidity?
I would get ahold of the company for a refund or replacement
@@AdventureTomek my deduction was the heat and humidity and a small contact patch for the helmet I was using it on. I did contact them and they were very helpful and apologetic. Even offered to replace it. But I chose not to because I still have the mount (minus the adhesive) I may try surgru but the the 3M tape wasn’t enough.
@@retiredbiker on my old helmet I JB welded a original go pro mount to it.
That was a cheap wal mart helmet though.

@@AdventureTomek my new helmet is a Shoei Hornet X2 so I won’t be doing anything to it that can’t be undone..
@@retiredbiker I had the same problem with my mount. Too small of a patch of holding tape. Had to reinforce with JB Weld. You can use Sugru also.
They don’t make one for my hx1 scorpion so I’m going to jb weld lol 😂

Is there any other alternatives for gopro mounts?
@@byemrahozd unfortunately I haven’t found many options. I have been using this mount since I have posted the vid and it has been holding up great.
Prior to this mount I just JB welding a GoPro clip onto a older helmet.
I was super upset when I received it and it was adhesive, I thought maybe it mounted to the helmet somehow.
These just have the adhesive, ive seen some on line that strap to the front of the helmet.
Ive been using the chinmount since this install video and its been holding up great
@@AdventureTomek the issue was I couldn’t get mine to stick, it’s been about 3 days and I have the helmet proped up with the chin mount on the bottom, so hopefully it hardens or dries to the helmet.
Ide be more upset that a sticky mount and a string tether cost $35....wait forgot the 2 cent iso wipe. And the $35 kit doesnt even include the actual fuckin camera mount/arm. Lmfao

Poor design for my helmet, a Scorpion EXO-GT930. I had to reinforce with JB Weld.

@@AdventureTomek Your's works because you have a huge area of tape holding it on. My complaint is about my particular helmet. Mine has about 1/3 of the surface area that yours has.
Now I need to buy a blow dryer to. Would of been helpful to know that when I bought it 😅
