@@patricksuncle6074 its not about repairing weapons its that we dont expect to have to grind for HOURS. i did the 15 dungeon levels. kept my shit upgraded. and im still doing 4 damage. apparently i was supposed to do the same dungeon over and over again
I was able to get the Sax sword, status break the shamshir, and the Gladius a few times and I leveled it up to +6, with the slingshot method, it was a 2 hit kill. I did a heck of a lot of grinding for that. I did 133 damage each swing.
@ɴ ɨ ȯ ʞ ɨ I'm pretty sure that you can only buy one in Queens. Other than that the only way to get it is to grind the dungeons until you get lucky with a big treasure chest. Also if the chest is trapped, always guess explosion first. You can heal poison or a curse, but if it's explosives and you guess wrong the chest disappears.
@@d2xcubed157 This boss is impossible, I can't even develop a fucking strategy! It's that bad! I'm thinking about using cheats because of how broken this boss is. There's no easy way to hit him as Toan. What the fuck were the game designers thinking? This is one of the worst bosses I've ever fought in an action RPG!
@@03bgood it's all about timing. Hit him with the slingshot and wait for him to land then slash him. Let him take off again but don't go back to the slingshot to fast or he'll get stuck in a charge loop. Or you could just use Xiao and instead of switching to toan, just chuck some bombs at him while he's still in the ground.
I literally did that for over a half hour and threw some ice gems and bombs til I ran outta water on both characters and half the floor was busted out idk how you did it so fast and I hate that they don’t show his health meter

Make sure if you find that track oil stuff in the divine beast cave you use it to explore the back levels, if your having a hard time finding a sword then wait till you do the gaffers store, he sells you bombs if you get pike to help him with the sign so he doesnt hurt his back. Use bombs on drain.
Really just make sure you keep resurrection powder on your bar, keep at least 3 escape/ stand in powder in your inventory, and every chance you get buy and store the gold bars.
@@d2xcubed157 I had got the magical crystal knife sword from a big treasure chest and leveled it up high in lightning attributes. Dran is weak against lightning, i leveled it up to 10 i think. Lol thats nothing the fastest boss fight for me was that boss on the moon sea lol i slashed him once and beat him.
@@d2xcubed157 Still never finished the game 100% though. I never it made it past the 100 floors of the demon shaft. I have the game though i might replay it, its been a very long time, I’ll have to start a new game.

what sword (+(and at what level) did you have, i used this method and slashed 30 times without beating this guy

Dark Cloud is heavy endless grinding, otherwise you're doing absolutely no damage
or just broken dagger boost, but it's kinda sad
And you have to upgrade all 6 characters to equivalent stats you can't slack with any character
honestly think I'm not going to bother with this game going forward. I wonder if Dark Cloud 2 is better?

The dran isn't that bad. It's the sea queen, and the dark genie that I hate.

It is thunder, but the attribute shouldn't matter as much as having a decent sword.

what exactly do you mean? If it's the quick switch, on Ps2 its the select button and on Ps4 push the left side of the touch pad.
How many time does it take with the dagger
A lot. Last time I played I messed up and broke all my good swords, and was stuck with a lv1 dagger. Fought it for about an hour.

I accidentally broke my best weapon part way through this 😭 Does anyone know where to find a better weapon?
That early in the game you can't buy any weapons. For now all I could say is grind the earlier floors until you find a big chest.
