Thank you for the video. Didn't know about the new gigbag. Pretty cool. This model is very nice. I usually don't like dark necks, but this deep dark maple is beautifull.
Yes, the quality of guitars coming from far east countries has improved a lot in the past 10 years or so. Now they're going beyond doing budget guitars and going into the higher end game. I think it's amazing for the competition and can only benefit us players with more options. Which brand is your Les Paul?
China is doing the same thing as Japan in the 1960's and 1970's They started out making trash, then got increasingly better. By the 80's Japanese built guitars were starting to out perform USA built ones at lower prices. Shijie seems to be to China in the 2010's and 2020's what Ibanez and ESP were to the 1970's and 1980's. I will be placing an order in the next year or so. I just have a few other things I need to spend money on first.
@@TheBedroomRocker1It has Custombucker's and real mahogany body, no veneer. I JUST recieved a Gibson Les Paul Classic today. Dang, it is heavy. Got a "blem" for $1800. I have not made up my mind yet, of course, but, so far, I am not seeing that it is 3x better than my Epiphone. In fact, gulp, I am not sure it is better at all. We will see.
He actually mentioned about this model in particular having a deep reasted mapple neck. And btw it looks awesome with the clear line at the back. Beautifull.

Thanks for watching! Yes, this neck finish is quite unique
Alex Wong makes the BEST necks, which are the heart and soul of a guitar - Shijie rules!!!
Shijies are amazing guitars. The Suhr of China
Indeed it's a fair comparison. Amazing quality guitars. Thanks for the comment!
to check if it's true deep roasted maple or just stained you need to check the screw holes on the neck plate.
Thanks for the tip! That's indeed a good idea. I'll keep it in mind for future reviews
Shijie only uses top quality woods, it really is dark roasted (I have 8 Shijies). They only made of few of these dark roasted necks
The modern machining today is amazing. I have a Chinese Les Paul that is the best Les Paul I ever played.

@@TheBedroomRocker1 It is an Epiphone Slash goldtop with Custombucker's. Highly recommend.
@@johndaugherty4127 Nice! I've heard good things about those, but haven't been able to try one yet
