I hate the idea that people think they should go out unmasked, the best answer from a stage show vision is that they’re a theatrical band. You wouldn’t ask Rammstein to go without their pyrotechnics, or a well established musical to go on without makeup, or other defining features.
Yes, the band are very established now but it’s a constantly changing fictional story behind the band, regardless of who the members are. It’s purely theatrics and that’s what interests me.

Then I thought he had almost no input in songwriting after he did an interview dressed as a nameless ghoul saying so. Trying to pass off credit. That’s why I did a total turn on my past self. I was like a younger leader in my church and I was going to die a martyr or die trying. But then I got out of my little bubble world and learned so much. I got into industrial music and started to think for myself and learn to accept that I am cause and effect of my life. I am in control of my own life. Good or bad. Whatever happens I made it happen. I have a healthier view of the world now. I’m definitely humanist. There’s too much hurt caused in the name of Jesus for me to continue down that path with a clear conscience. I’ve tried reconciling free will and all that shit. It doesn’t work still. For an all powerful, all knowing god to see the damage his followers have done and do nothing.. it says a lot.
I got out and for the betterment of myself and hopefully for others as well.

When he cycles onto the stage on a white tricycle in a white suit and Panama hat. You think, yeah I could see Alice Cooper doing that and thats probably the only other one that could get away with it being cool! I love the way Tobias is an unashamed fan of rock and metal and talks so enthusiastically about his roots. Really good cover versions of songs that are not what you might expect, rocky Ericsson, abba, pet shop boys etc. Clever chap!

As someone who has experience performing in a mask, you probably need to do it yourself to really understand how creatively liberating it is. I could VERY easily do things in character and under hood that wouldnt fly at all. Ask Andrew Dice Clay about that. He spent so much time as this lewd goon that he got hooked on it and sort of became that guy full time. Point is- its a license to kill in some ways

I have always connected with Tobias, I was treated like shit In catholic school ,I got rid of organized religion and just went with my faith in God, I always believed religion was a construct of man to twist and turn people's faith in something, It's definitely made me more open minded, two of my best friends are atheists, another cool thing about GHOST is the band always reinvents itself in some way and it works every time. Tobias is very intelligent as a musician. RATS is a great song it reminds me of Gene Kelly in SINGING IN THE RAIN.

I mean ... just looking for a brief moment into this man's eyes we can see a glimpse of his soul. And he has a fucking shining soul. He has the eyes of a wise child. A centennial child (I don't know if this makes sense😂). No man is perfect, but I so damn like what I see inside him...his philosopy, his ideals, what he's doing with his music for everyone not just for himself... he is clearly an empathic, creative person with his own ideas and a strong sense of justice. And to think that he has been accused of being greedy ... bitch, were? I don't believe it at all 😂😂 sure, people like Tobias can be dangerous if they follow the wrong ideals, but he seems to be on the right path. Without a doubt, He is an example for me to follow
