When even the Pokedex entry in SwSh says they are extinct or rare and you see about five or six right next to each other.
Spiritomb's side quest in the Crown Tundra is the only one I find legitimately creepy because if you were like me and progressively interacted with the tombstone whilst talking to different players, there's multiple flavor text depending on how many people you talked to. For example, if you talked to more than 25 people I believe, the text on the tombstone will read, "You can hear distant voices coming from the grave!" Another one says, once you reach 31 people, "You feel some sort of presence nearby. It's like it will jump out at any moment!"
The thing is.. why Spread my Voice? Why does a Spiritomb want us to spread it's voice?

Also a little thing I noticed, if you talked to 31 people and talk to the tomb stone, you can faintly hear spiritomb’s cry a little bit. Very creepy tbh

Yeah I have no clue why they are requiring an extra subscription to fully complete the game, adding everything up and assuming you get the yearly subscription, you'll be paying 110 dollars just to complete the game fully with dlc.

It's the many soul's punishment for the unknown deeds they did in life. It's literally based on a religious tradition of ringing 108 bells to cleanse a town of evil. It is evil-in-a-rock and this is their eternal damnation- being forced to walk behind a young girl that talks down to them like they are a pet. I love it.

If you don't have Nintendo Switch Online you can't encounter a spiritomb so you can't fill your pokedex eh?

Hi, not sure if you'll see this but if you shake the dynamax tree a few times a max creature(I've only had a greedant so far) will fall out and you have to defeat it. But then you get LOTS of berries, I've had up to 30 of some types, just letting you know as it could be a really nice way to farm berries or even money!
I love how everyone forgets that sableye was the og ghost/dark type
I'm thinking Spiritomb is being remembered more as the "formerly invincible one" due to its spot in the team of one of the best Champions in the series' history.

For the sword trio, you have to leave the area and come back for say, Virizion to pop out and in for a shiny reroll right?
Declining a legendary capture and redoing it from the list counts as a reroll?
And regi KOs also count as rerolls?

Ah, I remember the pre-fairy type time. Battled hackers with Spiritomb-Wonderguard combos. Good times.
If you want to get into nuisances a scrappy Pokémon can hit them super effective with a fighting move. But yeah just looking at the types purely themselves until fairy yeah.
@@Kite0404 To be honest I just battled other people for fun and to show off my shiny Pokémon. I really had no idea about abilities and strategies, but I did know my type advantages. So yeah, basically cried everytime I saw that Wonderguard ability pop up.

Best part is I can finally hunt for a 5-star Milotic raid and take this viably competitive team online and surprise fans of the anime with my character’s cosplay plus Spiritomb coming out as my lead ^^

I'm not sure, but the old one in D/P/Pt could indeed respawn if you SOMEHOW met the insane criteria again. Give it a try after you've caught it.
I hate the troll of in oras the spiritomb had one chance encounter while knowing MEMENTO I reset 4 times because it kept using memento

Something I noticed as I progressed with this quest is that the interaction with the grave changes as you speak with more people. Starting with “spread my voice”and when you capture him and interact with the grave again, it says “my voice has been heard”

Something else that people may not know is that in the Dyna Tree after you release the Galarian Birds (or before you follow Peony in the lairs to progress the story) if you visit the tree and shake it 5 times you will enter a 1v1 battle with a Dynamax
Greedent like the Vespiquen one in the IOA.
Not only is it a gem reference it’s also in arceus which is gen 4 but old it’s so cool

I remember entering and exiting the underground with two of my friends over and over to catch spiritomb. This is a nice call back to what was previously a much more frustrating task.

back in gen 4 my friend and i spent an afternoon in the underground grinding flags and trainer greetings. Back then few people new how to get spirit tomb so i bred the spirit tombs and traded them for other hard to obtain pokemon.

I just tried this as it seemed the Generation 8 equivalent of the way it worked in Generation 4. I was surprised to see this actually worked. I did not leave the area however.
