This is helpful in the future. Invest some upfront time and try to get all the legendaries, then you can choose exactly what to go for in the future. That's pretty useful. I'm just amazed how easy it was to miss this interaction. Really appreciate you noticing it and covering the details of it, through empirical testing, so everyone knows what's going on
Thanks for this video, I think this is actually great for someone that has 2 playthroughs on separate switches. You can use a burner to catch all the normal Legendaries and UB and then use that account to host for your main playthrough for shiny grinding with friends or by yourself. Still think it's a better option than depending on other people.
All the videos you’re putting out about the crown tundra are great. Everyone else has pretty much stopped their coverage on it, but you are covering absolutely everything and it’s great

Step one: Run into a random legendary.
Step two: Lose/choose a different Pokemon to keep.
Step three: Have the scientist write it down and encounter it later.

Take this as an example, the Madura method with shiny charm odds are 1/512, doing 512 eggs does not guarantee you a shiny.
Yep, on the masuda method I'm in 1600 eggs, with all buffs including the shiny charm and the others, definitely not a guaranteed shiny after 512 eggs
@@forte210392 which means per run you have a 1/25 chance to get any random shiny.
You have a 1/100 rate for Pokémon 1 to be shiny. Same for 2,3 and 4
So yes you have a 1/100 rate for a shiny but a 1/25 for any shiny in a run.
@@sadarot Actually, to find the true probability per run you have to multiply .99 (your chance of not getting a shiny per catch) by itself four times (once for each potential catch). That comes out roughly 96% chance you won't catch a shiny during each dynamax adventure. We actually only have about a 4% chance that we'll end up with a shiny at the end of each run still. 1/100 four times doesn't come out to 1/25 chance for a shiny each run.

This is actually super helpful. It allows you to share your version exclusives with your friends who have the other version of the game.... thats super helpful for both parties bc then the person who doesnt have access to that legendary in their game can catch it... SUPER HELPFUL
This could be helpful for helping a friend get the version exclusives from my game, and vice versa.
The legendary/UB whose path you want Peonia to show you also needs to be the corresponding exclusive to the version you're playing. for example if you have Shield and caught both Groudon and Kyogre, then you'll only be able to regain access to Kyogre's path when putting it in the first slot. Even though you caught Groudon it won't work because it's not a Shield exclusive. I learned it the hard way.

Aye everyone i hope this helps but every time i see peonia move around after getting to the end an completing a max raid battle, she always gives me a new legendary pokemon route that i have never encountered, caught, or traded before for 5 dynite ore. And ive always had the same galarian slowking in the front of my party. (Hope this was useful) Great video btw

Hey Austin, there is a encounter you can have with Oliana in the crown tundra. And whilst the general idea is that you have to have done the main story segments and get a hint from peonia and go to the graveyard at night, however alot of people (myself included) can't get the event to trigger. Can you perhaps shed some light on this mystery please?

From my experience from grinding out the dynamic adventures, it seems to be just random but also it went from 3 ultra beasts in a row, all three legendary birds in a row to the dogs in a row, three tapu kokos and then the rest of the ultra beasts, then uxie, azelf

Hey Austin John, I've been trying to find necrozma and I've caught my 5 ultrabeasts (Xurkitree,Buzzwole,Kartana,Nihelgo,and Pheromosa) and poipole still appeared. I think this is new info, hopefully this is helpful.
