I haven’t been a huge fan of the regular raids but I’ve been having a lot of fun with the Dynamax Adventures mode.

Enemies having no shields is more fun and fair imo. Shields were an annoying way of making the battles longer for no reason.

Now that I look back at it I think the reason I find the dynamax adventure so much more fun than normal dens is cause there are no shields that make the battle last forever

Hey guys, just so you know, encountering four 1 in 100 chances does not make it 1 in 25, it's very close but statistics isn't that easy, it's closer to 3.94% of encountering a shiny each den :)

@@jimb0072 No. Since each of these pokemon has a shiny rate independent of the others, it's the exact same odds for getting the legendary if you catch all 4 or just the legend.

This...this isn’t how chance works though. This is extremely misleading and this will spread all over because of that thumbnail.
If the chances influenced each other, then yes it would be 1/25 but they don’t. It’s 4 separate 1/100 chances. You can’t add them up as that’s not how probability works.
As Joe gave an example on Twitter- pretend you’re hunting in two different games at the same time each with their own chance at 1/4096. Just because you’re hunting twice doesn’t make the chance 1/2048. It’s still 1/4096.
Still love your videos and I watch all of them- but this is very misleading and should be changed.

@@Micna9596 right. It’s 1-(1-.99)^4=0.039. But it’s still misleading to say a shiny every 1/25 because it’s not 1/25 per Pokémon. It’s 1/25 per adventure to get 1 that is shiny. But again- even that can be missleading.
Look at it like this: each adventure is equivalent to hatching 4 eggs. When you hatch 4 eggs, your chances don’t go up. It’s 4 entirely different chances. Yes, statistically it’s 0.04 that you’ll get 1 after 25 adventures. But in reality it’s still just1/100 every time. If that makes sense?
@@Micna9596 if the thumbnail had said “1/25 Dynamax adventures for a shiny!” Then I’d be more fine with it. But just saying “1/25 for a shiny!” Is very misleading and makes people believe
that each Pokémon has a 1/25 chance to be shiny which isn’t the case.
It just so happens that the math works out to be 0.039.

In the end, it’s a binary outcome though. You either get it or you don’t. Each one has a 1/100 chance to occur. Yes. It can be calculated that’ll it happen 1/25 adventures. But in reality it’s just because you’re doing 4 different 1/100 trials. It’s weird. Math is dumb sometimes lol.

Well its 1/25 raids to get a shiny. So that's 100 total pokemon you're hunting if you times 4 by 25. 4x25=100 but that's with the charm. Without the charm it's 200 pokemon total, sometimes more. Even with low odds sometimes you're gonna be unlucky. Its more a game of chance
The shiny luck is great! I found a shiny grovyle, Mienshao, Beartic, and my favorite so far KARTANA!

I was able to catch a near perfect shiny frosmoth with its HA in the adventures, on my way to xerneas. My team couldn't beat xerneas,but taking home a shiny is a nice way to get kicked out of the cave😄

One thing I love about the dynamax adventure raids is the variety of pokemon you can find. Today I found a sceptile followed by a g-max alcremie (neither were shiny unfortunately).
My first adventure I happened to get a shiny pheramosa, honestly super hyped to keep grinding this method man.
Got a shiny Suicune, and currently hunting Entei! I tried for Xerneas but I was having some seriously awful luck with the other trainers and which Pokémon we were encountering and can never beat Xerneas thanks to its amazing healing moves and dazzling gleam hitting multiple at once. Hopefully we can get some better luck later!
First raid I made I got a shiny Rayquaza 🤩
Then I got shiny lunaala, shiny exegutor and shiny vanilux.

It's hard cuz all the online players are stupid and play the game so poorly it hinders our chances of even beating the legendary, I've seen monkeys that's played better, and its thanks to how much these online players suck I'm cucked out of my shiny Zygarde.

I’ve done about 50 raids with the charm, but no shiny! I’m hoping my first will be a shiny legend, this method is my favourite because it’s really fun to do (like Ultra Wormhole hunting) and even if you don’t get a shiny Pokemon, you are rewarded with about 5-7 Dynite. It’s not wasted time even if you don’t get your shiny, you are rewarded with those rare Dynite pieces for Ability Patches!
Yeah and the fact that even if the legendary isn't shiny you could get another pokemon with shiny
Got a moltres after like 15 runs havent gotten another yet. Of course I get one of my least favorites first haha but shiny legendary.
I got a shiny Tapu Koko after like 30 runs, just keep on pushing forward it’ll make getting the shiny even more hype when it happens
Also a nice source of Beastballs, though they are spendy.

I didn't really know how the shiny hunting worked when I did it the first time, but the only pokemon that I caught in my first raid (an Araquanid) was a shiny!

Make sure you talk to Peonia after every raid! There's a chance that she'll give you cool clothing items, or tell you where a Legendary is for 5 Dynite Ore pieces!

Square shinies have diamons shapes come off them. Star shinies have yellow stars come off. Square shinies just multiply the rareness of shinies by 16 lol

@@21eeveevulpix If we're being honest the time investment for these would basically be the same if your luck was average; if each battle took 15 mins then you'd be able to do 4 per hour; so in 25 hours you'll be at odds; obviously one can get lucky but on average it will take you more than a couple of hours.
There is an even easier way my dude. If my calculation are correct, if you beat a legendary in the raid adv about 4-5 times the chance will drop to 1/75
I have the shiny charm, have done over 40 of these adventures and no shiny. I doubt it's 1/100
So I really like this new feature but I was wandering. If you want to shiny hunt a specific legendary you normally had to soft reset. I haven't checked the time, but if it you can fit about 13 sr in the time you due one adventure (disregarding the other shines) then is it really a method? (Although the dens har 100 times more fun than sr)

I'm pretty sure those shiny odds are calculated incorrectly. If each of the 4 Pokémon you can get in the dungeon has a 1 in 100 chance of being shiny then you wouldn't divide by 4 just because there are 4 rolls. Shouldn't it be 2.07% chance one of those is shiny?

You are right that it's calculated incorrectly, but your result is wrong. You are right that you can't just say it's 4/100 chance to get a shiny because it's 4 independently rolled events. This is known as a bernoulli trial.
At 4 trials of 1% there's a 3.88% chance of getting a shiny.
However, once you catch the legendaries you only have 3 trials giving you a 2.94% chance.
Without a shiny charm noway in hell i'll get one 😢

I got both shiny regi’s in 300-400 resets
If you reset at the results screen instead of leaving without selecting, does it still reroll the shiny odds? Or would I be catching the same non-shiny pokemon over and over again?
For a dialy worker like me, this method is so helpful to fulfill my dream to get shiny pokemons. Currently get 5 normal shinies and 1 shiny Entei. So grateful for this feature.
Honestly, I really love how Dynamax Adventures is basically a Roguelike Pokemon minigame. Also with boosted Shiny Odds and every Pokemon generally seeming to have great IVs, it's a really good addition imo.
As someone who thoroughly enjoys Slay the Spire (And I have yet to complete the game), I really like this new feature.

i havent started playing crown tundra cuz i have exams but i have a couple questions
1. are raids hard with NPCs? or do you have to connect to wifi everytime you shiny hunt
2. are there version exclusives like in USUM?
