I am using 10/2 with ground (3 wires) coming in from the panel box (line side.) Do I have to have three wires plus ground coming in on the line side? Hope this makes sense.
Not necessarily. You can have 2 wires or 3 wires. It depends on the equipment you are disconnecting. If the equipment is rated for 240volts you will have 2 wires.
