Since it is 240v shouldn't you use 10/2 Romex????? Asking for a friend...

Gotta be a fuse or something I hope 😭. So I have 7-8 outlets all reading Open Hot top & bottom except One of the outlets the bottom one works but the top one stopped working as well last year open hot. Trips everytime I plug my computer or treadmill up in bedroom too…..wanna throw the whole breaker away outdoor outlets dead too smh

Can I use this on a 20amp breaker double pole 12k btu with a 10/2 bcoz my service panel is about 30ft distance. Or should I I use the fused kind.

I have a older house that use old breaker box that use fuses my dryer cord is not pulling enough voltage im getting a code 9c1. Do i install a new plug or is it the breaker box?

What I *don't* get is why the single pin of the receptacle goes in the lowest position when the plug on the power cable will have it at the apex of the triangle opposite where the cord is attached, making the plug need to be inserted "upside down". Also, with the two pins at the top, any cross-pin contact while pulling or inserting the plug is a 220 v experience, when it would be half that if the neutral was at the top. It makes no sense to me. Just installed one of these and came looking to double check I had it "right".

I didn’t know you can run 240 V through a 12/2 wire.

I am using 10/2 with ground (3 wires) coming in from the panel box (line side.) Do I have to have three wires plus ground coming in on the line side? Hope this makes sense.

My 10/2 only has black, white and the ground wire. Can I use the bare on the "w" "L" shaped and the white and black on the other two places?
