After my tenant moved and I demolished the place I had a 240V 2 wire pump at my property and the bottom of the switch was busted off, the only two wires connected were the top ones. The tenant couldn't remember how he hooked it up. Even though I couldn't hear you I could see that you hooked it up exactly like it was with the in and out wires matching top to bottom. I was thinking it was a standard switch not thinking it was a 2 pole type. Now it all makes sense. Thanks for the Video.
Thank you! Wiring it with the ground up and then flipping it around for the other side never occured to me. It also makes pushing the switch back in much easier.
David, thanks for making the video. Looks like you tied the grounds from the line and load together and ran a pigtail off of it, correct? Working on a similar project, but the switch is controlling a shop heater.
What a bunch of jerks. How many of you are trying to be helpful, take the time to shoot a video, create a Chanel, upload, and then be attacked for being a good guy? God bless you for helping others despite all these negative comment buffoons.
Great video to show that you are actually working but no wire codes for each screw? Man there are places burning down out there because they think you connected this color to that color 😂
Not a great how to video at all. Besides the noise quality already mentioned, ideal brand green wirenuts have a hole in the end so you can feed one piece of extra long ground wire through it and not need to pigtail, saving some space in the box. Also, 240v shouldn't be using white wires for anything, maybe its the video quality and those are pink but if not get a roll of red or blue tape and mark your wires accordingly before someone gets killed.

GOOD TEST VIDEO TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL WATCH UNTIL THE END.
Please have all required tools and supplies ready and available. Use a site with no distracting background noise and speak loudly and clearly.
He's basically whispering, can't even hear him.

Can’t hear a thing, this is the second Vedic I have watched by this gentleman and he needs to speak up

Klein makes strippers specifically designed to strip 12 and 14 gauge lines. Both the wire itself and the coated sheathing that protects the wires.
Would have been nice to hear what you were saying. But the tools in the background were louder.
No kidding
Silent movies are back.
Thanks
Thank you sir

Sounds like a sarcastic comment. Given it’s not, I always keep in mind. Black to brass.
Good job
I sure would be nice to hear what you had to say????
You clearly know what yore doing but a cheap lab mic would make yore vids awesome.
Didn’t learn a thing?
Old snake tongue
Lol
David it was very hard to hear you
The back ground noise was nasty
Duh faq I followed every word you said and now my shop it burnt to the ground.. I also did the motor boat lips what did I do wrong
My 220v circuts are 4 wire, not 3?
Wire the hot leads through the switch like in the video, and just bond your neutral (white) wires together in the box.
Cant hear a word because of background noise.
Backyard electrician 😂😂
EN ESE VÍDEO, NO EXPLICÓ NADA.........
I lasted 3 minutes.
Too much time spent stripping wire
Ground too short, they make strippers now, no need to twist because a wire it does that. Geez.
could not hear a word you said only at the end.

Not very informative.
Why bother teaching if your not going to talk....
Can't hear a word you're saying
can not hear what you are saying can not see what you are doing ?????? wtf
couldn't hear shit....🤔
Too much background noise, explanation is lacking details.
Can’t hear a word you said.🤷🏻♀️
Way too noisy and can’t tell what wires are what, next vidio
Exactly what I am trying to do, but could not hear anything and so much background noise...why bother making videos?
Couldn't hear a damned thing and he didn't explain anything, camera too far away.
Doubtful anyone makes it to the end of this.
Might be a good video, but I can’t be sure because I can’t hear anything but background noise.
Can't see or hear anything this sucks
Don't make any more videos
Did you mean for this to be a comedy, or did it just happen that way?
cant hear you, stopped watching!
