Modern warfare 2019 came out 5 years ago and still has the best graphics and sounds till today and it came out on last gen consoles. Why have graphics got worse?
My theory is that with the switch from iw8->iw9 they tried the simultaneous start of mw2/wz mobile collab and needed an enormous downgrade of the iw8 engine, to be able to ran the game on phones Just remember their attempt to build up the hype for wz mobile that early as of cod next 2022, that just didn't worked out 😅😂 I played mw19 first on ps4/Pro and switched to pc very late into the game life cycle, as it ran flawlessly on the ps4, only because of the 1 game breaking aspect, the fov slider, that in the iw8 built was only available for pcs Then magicly we have mw2 on consoles and voila the fov slider ☠️ Activision is a greedy ass company and delivered with mw19 the perfect product on a technical note and with their plan to take over the wallets of the mobile population for the diverse microtransactions, they needed an enormous downgrade The last nail in the coffin was the deletion of wz1, not needed at all, but in a sort of way, the only option, as they couldn't let a superior version of the same game exist and so to put a lil dirt on the corpse and voila, never existed 😂
I built my first pc October 18th 2080ti i9900k at the time was the best build, learned MNK in a month and drooled everyday over the fidelity and performance still my all time fav can’t play mnk after Vanguard these games are too cracked now😂
Bo6 on my series x looks terrible, ton of frame drops as well, I'll keep playing it on my pc, looking into getting a ps5 looks way better and more stable then series x..

Trust me, with half of PSN players still on ps4, I guarantee they will do it at least one more year or until it becomes cursed like BO3 on 360 and PS3. Xbox at least solved it with giving a cheap option for new gen with the Series S, and PS5's only just became regularly in stock like only a year ago
If the last gen consoles can run MWII, I don’t think they’d have too much problems running future games since it’s all built upon it, and if the old hardware is struggling they can tone things back to where we are now, remember that Warzone Mobile exists, it’s not the best mobile gaming experience, but if you got a cooler and a capable device the game can run smoothly on mobile, it would have less problem running on last gens which are less compact since they’re consoles.

I could be totally out of line, but I think I read somewhere like two years ago that PS5 has true 4k HDR internals, whereas Xbox uses a 2k upscaling framework to fake 4k HDR, hence why the graphics and especially the color range is notably different between the two.
9:32 the PC version lagged when opening the scoreboard too. It's not as noticeable because your highs, even when enduring the lag spike, are typically over 120 FPS, but spamming the scoreboard or tac-map buttons would cause the game to chug. This is an issue that (if i'm not mistaken) was also present in games like MW2019, and it was even present in older games like CS:GO (strangely, the issue seemed to have been fixed with CS2 though). The only reason I bring up CS is because, unless they completely created the IW8/9 engines from scratch, the engine that COD runs on is a fork of Source and chugging from on-screen menus like that being drawn could be a deeply rooted issue from Source.
I only played enough to hit level 20 due to work commitments but I don’t think I ever encountered the packet burst everyone keeps mentioning. How bad are they?
@@ActionJacksonVideos All it is really is you teleporting back and forth sometimes when running and some bullets not registering. You get an icon on your screen telling you that you got packet loss

@@enfenfenfyeah, those that are complaining are either playing on console or low settings. Have tested the beta on medium/low settings and it doesn't look that good then and visibility is horrible. Those that are complaining on packet burst probably haven't added the TCP and UDP ports to their firewall, just like in MW3 and the previous cods..

I only play on Xbox Series X, but there is definitely something "off" with the graphics. Maybe it's just the Black Ops style. Either way, not a massive issue.
@@mixufixu by forcing the game to be able to function on older hardware, the devs have to lower the ceiling of what the game could do. This creates a lower quality product overall.
GTA V could run on the xbox 360. I think the devs can make a couple of little maps with 12 players or so. If the issue is graphical fidelity, then rdr2 ran on the xbox one and looked great.
I noticed that if you turn off Depth of Field, the detail on the weapon inspection of the Xbox will match the detail of the PC and the PS5. Especially the rope detail on the stock and the scratches and markings..
You should see the Series S, it looks absolutely awful compared to my PS5. I was gonna just get the gamepass version but it looks so bad I think I'll purchase on Playstation instead.
I will say having a high end pc and a ps5 to compare at home the games definitely brighter on ps5 so in some instances it will appear better since its a brighter image But overall clarity if you’re able to run the game at 1440p or higher at max settings it’ll crush the ps5 pro any day

I think the issue with color on Xbox for you was because your color range was set to limited instead of full in the Xbox settings which likely didn't play nice with your capture card.
I suspect that your graphics settings are not optimized for the Xbox Series X. Clearly you prefer the PS5 (the controller) which is fine. But, when you do comparisons, you need to make sure that your console settings are optimized for each. Just saying. Since you have such a large following, you owe that to ALL of your fans, whether PS5 or Xbox Series X. Otherwise love your content. Watch you just about every day.
While I agree something (especially with the Series X) seems off, each of these recordings were taken with fresh installs where the only settings adjusted were sensitivity, button layout, FOV and a removal of motion blur - everything else is stock so in the same vein, if I'm not optimizing the other console settings, it would seem unfair to optimize just one in my opinion. I don’t know what it was but I felt like I had to crank the sharpness and CAS on Xbox Series X and my PS5 for it to look decent. I was disappointed on console for some reason. I loved it on my PC.

This game seems more demanding than last year. I used to play at 4k with DLSS Quality and get 130fps and now I need DLSS Balanced to get just 110fps on average
There is a large noticeable difference between PS5 and XBOX Series X when hooking up to a monitor... Not much difference if playing on 4K TV. Even when tweaking the settings on the Xbox Series X the PS5 still trounces the X by a significant margin...I played beta on both consoles and you still get a washed out look on X... The PS5 just pops, brighter colours more shadow detail, contrast, and overall sharpess. Tested at (1440p) / 120 FPS - Tested with: ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ These settings from a Reddit user helped a lot but even after these adjustments its a long way behind the presentation on the PS5 Go to Settings > Interface > Gameplay HUD > HUD Presets > Colors > Color Filter and set it to Filter 2. Go down to Color Filter Target and set it to World. Set World Color Intensity to 100 and Interface Color Intensity to 0.
I know you purposely pick the highest preset and didn’t even bother checking if all of the graphical options are the highest and I know you did cause you didn’t turn off motion blur
I like my series X. Good console, however your comment about the controller being too small. Is spot on. My hands cramp after an hour or so. (6’5” 240lbs) I don’t have that problem on my PS5.
Cod not even a top 10 realistic looking game. Gray zone warfare, Bodycam, Cyberpunk, many of the race sim games like le mans ultimate or upcoming assetto corsa evo, the list goes on and on and on. Because cod is an esports titles that needs to hit 120fps on console..

Not every game needs to use the Unreal Engine, sure it's a good engine, but it's not THE best, CoD's engine is fine, plus don't want to have another Vanguard situation, we already seen what happened with Treyarch when they had to switch engines, there's a reason why this game took longer to come out.

I only have 60hz monitor so it doesn’t matter and I am sure this game is more demanding (for absolutely no reason) but I can run MW3 on low/medium settings 1440p 80-120fps on a Ryzen 3600 and GTX 1080… Would hope the average PC gamer has something even one step above my ancient gpu and old and lowly cpu.

Because mw19 was made for last gen consoles, this one is still being held back because console prices arent as low as they used to be after 2 years and people aren’t buying new consoles. Though a lot of people have including myself and personally the graphics look fine, I don’t need my game to look like real life. I prefer how the graphics looked in 2016 games than todays.
There must be a technical issue with the series X/S because Forza motorsport had that same issue with it being kind of washed out and after about four months or so or even longer, they finally fixed it so hopefully they shared that information with the call of duty team and they can get that fixed before Launch but again like you mentioned, you kinda need them side-by-side to notice. I absolutely love PC gaming. I made the switch a couple years ago. started with an entry level pre build and slowly replaced everything until it was a whole new pc . My current rig has a 4070 RTX and i5-13600k. can max out most games.
I'm on Xbox One X and graphics wise it isn't the best but I can say my game runs perfectly well still. I do plan on getting the new Gen Xbox later this year, probably on Black Friday. But for having this One X for the last 8 years, I can't complain.
water on old gen seems more visible for old gen... like you could see way more clearly in the water on gen when swimming, (you would see operators better in water surely)
Try setting Xbox series X output settings to PC RGB. I had mine set to TV because that’s what’s “Recommended” even if you’re literally plugged into a monitor and not a TV, although I wouldn’t recommend playing call of duty on a TV anyways lol
The series x must be running the Xbox one x version there because on my series x the graphic look as good as the pc and ps5, the rope looks sharp and u can see every detail on the gun.
I can’t wait for this game. I played mw3 after playing bo6 all weekend. Bo6 is MUCH better in like every way. Mw3 also makes it easy mode for you but black ops has a difficulty that makes it so good. It’s actually such a good game
I can't see enemy players half the time on Xbox Launch series since BO6 came out, MW3 and Warzone was fine, I've just got an Xbox X series so I hope it improves it!
I played in the 120fps mode on my PS5 and for the first day or two something in the after action report at he end of matches would switch to 60fps, and because the PS5's 120fps mode is either set to Off or Automatic my TV would flick off change modes twice then come back on a few seconds later. Hasn't done it since so I guess they patched it, but that was the only issue I had.
I feel like with how good current consoles and PCs are, the games are being developed based on the current gen capabilities, and then they are ported back to previous gen and to make sure they work with a decent frame rate they turn down the graphics quality settings.
Unpopular opinion and this is coming from somone who plays mostly on pc and PS5...but I do prefer the more "Washed up" color pallete that the xbox has, it makes it look more realistic and less cartoony, specially the trees they do not look that green irl. That's why a lot of times I end up turning down the saturation on my monitor a little bit.

The original COD was a Quake 3 engine game not Source.
It's not Source. If anything IW rooted from Quake 3's engine, to be specific the Return to Castle Wolfenstein engine. (id tech 3)

Absolutely. Was really disappointed when I played the beta. Extreme blurriness in gunfights, etc. it’s only gotten worse since mw2.

I don’t know what it was but I felt like I had to crank the sharpness and CAS on Xbox Series X and my PS5 for it to look decent. I was disappointed on console for some reason. I loved it on my PC.

This game seems more demanding than last year. I used to play at 4k with DLSS Quality and get 130fps and now I need DLSS Balanced to get just 110fps on average

There is a large noticeable difference between PS5 and XBOX Series X when hooking up to a monitor... Not much difference if playing on 4K TV. Even when tweaking the settings on the Xbox Series X the PS5 still trounces the X by a significant margin...I played beta on both consoles and you still get a washed out look on X... The PS5 just pops, brighter colours more shadow detail, contrast, and overall sharpess. Tested at (1440p) / 120 FPS - Tested with: ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ
These settings from a Reddit user helped a lot but even after these adjustments its a long way behind the presentation on the PS5
Go to Settings > Interface > Gameplay HUD > HUD Presets > Colors > Color Filter and set it to Filter 2. Go down to Color Filter Target and set it to World. Set World Color Intensity to 100 and Interface Color Intensity to 0.
The graphics under the water in BO6 on last gen almost reminds me of BO3 on old gen oh dear god.
I know you purposely pick the highest preset and didn’t even bother checking if all of the graphical options are the highest and I know you did cause you didn’t turn off motion blur

Ive got a xbox series x that i play on a 144hz tv that supports dolby vision. The dolby vision really solves the "washed out" color issues.
I run it at 120fps on PS5 on my LG oled and it looks and runs great 👍
My ps4 on OTech 300 60 FPS is clean too whew

Not every game needs to use the Unreal Engine, sure it's a good engine, but it's not THE best, CoD's engine is fine, plus don't want to have another Vanguard situation, we already seen what happened with Treyarch when they had to switch engines, there's a reason why this game took longer to come out.

The XSX seems to have an issue with resolution upscaling. Image scaling is FAR too aggressive to be that blurry and make sense

I only have 60hz monitor so it doesn’t matter and I am sure this game is more demanding (for absolutely no reason) but I can run MW3 on low/medium settings 1440p 80-120fps on a Ryzen 3600 and GTX 1080… Would hope the average PC gamer has something even one step above my ancient gpu and old and lowly cpu.

I’m on PC and can push over 240hz also hits a little over 300 @1440p I’m running a 4070 only not even a 4090. Just gotta tweak some settings in GPU and in game .

Because mw19 was made for last gen consoles, this one is still being held back because console prices arent as low as they used to be after 2 years and people aren’t buying new consoles. Though a lot of people have including myself and personally the graphics look fine, I don’t need my game to look like real life. I prefer how the graphics looked in 2016 games than todays.
There must be a technical issue with the series X/S because Forza motorsport had that same issue with it being kind of washed out and after about four months or so or even longer, they finally fixed it so hopefully they shared that information with the call of duty team and they can get that fixed before Launch but again like you mentioned, you kinda need them side-by-side to notice.

I absolutely love PC gaming. I made the switch a couple years ago. started with an entry level pre build and slowly replaced everything until it was a whole new pc .
My current rig has a 4070 RTX and i5-13600k. can max out most games.
I'm on Xbox One X and graphics wise it isn't the best but I can say my game runs perfectly well still. I do plan on getting the new Gen Xbox later this year, probably on Black Friday. But for having this One X for the last 8 years, I can't complain.

Try setting Xbox series X output settings to PC RGB.
I had mine set to TV because that’s what’s “Recommended” even if you’re literally plugged into a monitor and not a TV, although I wouldn’t recommend playing call of duty on a TV anyways lol

I can’t wait for this game. I played mw3 after playing bo6 all weekend. Bo6 is MUCH better in like every way. Mw3 also makes it easy mode for you but black ops has a difficulty that makes it so good. It’s actually such a good game

I played in the 120fps mode on my PS5 and for the first day or two something in the after action report at he end of matches would switch to 60fps, and because the PS5's 120fps mode is either set to Off or Automatic my TV would flick off change modes twice then come back on a few seconds later. Hasn't done it since so I guess they patched it, but that was the only issue I had.

I feel like with how good current consoles and PCs are, the games are being developed based on the current gen capabilities, and then they are ported back to previous gen and to make sure they work with a decent frame rate they turn down the graphics quality settings.

Unpopular opinion and this is coming from somone who plays mostly on pc and PS5...but I do prefer the more "Washed up" color pallete that the xbox has, it makes it look more realistic and less cartoony, specially the trees they do not look that green irl. That's why a lot of times I end up turning down the saturation on my monitor a little bit.
