My brother has last the 2015 model
And my mother has the 2002 model
Trust me when I tell you these things are just tire and basic fluid changes.
NO problems, NO hassles, just smooth sailing.
Very reliable, durable, good quality built vehicles.
The lexus LX and the land cruisers will forever be legends in the automotive world.
Yeah but it doesn't make much sense to buy a LX570 for that price when you can get a full option VX.S land cruiser for cheaper. Roughly same figures in everything except price.
+Frosticious yeah but if you have the money and want the class then why not?
-O P T I M U S I just told you why not. There are a lot of better cars for the same price.
Fedor how are they in off road conditions? and I dont mean anything radical, just mild off road.
love the look of these things.
If you want the diesel just get a top spec land cruiser. These are super nice though, I'm glad Toyota/Lexus maintain the solid rear axle
It's certainly not true that Americans are not interested in diesels in large SUV's, just small cars. It's mostly a matter of the V8 diesel not meeting emissions regulations. Toyota want willing to cheat like Volkswagen did, and it would have been too expensive to make it compliant. These are very appealing, Land Cruiser durability and reliability, combined with Lexus luxury and refinement. It's like a Range Rover that you can keep long term and don't have to be too afraid about taking it off road.
whaat here in middle east we get Lexus LX 450 which is same car with 4.5L V8 twin turbo V8 with 200kw and 650 nm torque
I've seen a couple of these in Dubai with modified front bumpers. Would love to take one into the desert!
I own an 11 lx570 it’s great
We would love more Diesel engines in the US.
We get the 450d in this shape in New Zealand.
Are the screens at the back showing lightning McQueen 😍
"Raise the air suspension" proceeds with a lovely under body shot showing conventional steel springs in the back.
I have the 2016. It is a combination of coils and hydraulics (not air).
AHC system is awesome.
My 11 best is 23 mpg on hwy
As an American I'm here to tell you, we LOVE diesel. The issue comes in more (sub)/urban areas. The "soccer mom" community doesn't understand the benefits of diesel. There's a stigma that diesel is just for loud, old, work trucks.
The definitely do make a diesel version maybe just not in your market.
New Zealand gets the LX450d...
so does south africa
Australia actually got the LX450d about a week ago now...
They are selling a desiel in Russia wish it would come here :-(
"The car lacks of diesel engine" İt's not a minus, man.Just look at that car: almost 3 tons, 5.7L V8 engine, can handle off roading. What else this car has to do to be the best around? I mean if someone can pay and buy this car for 140 000$ he never has to think about fuel economy or existance of a diesel variant.Am i wrong?
Indonesian please
in U.S.A they don't like diesel cause they penalize diesels cause of governament, maybe cause it will make the oil market collapse lol
Umm we in us love diesel
“High revving V8” - Not
I you're going to go off road you might rather want to buy an LC 200 because the LX 450d/570 is an asphalt queen:
That front bumper decreases clearance by like 10 degrees and those side skirts decreases break over and they aren't rock sliders. Being a premium brand I bet they will mighty expensive to repair.
Those low profile rims. Not only will you not be able to suitable off road tires for the terrain and conditions, you run a high risk of actually bending those expensive rims on rocks and sitting with a wheel that cant hold air.
Save for the adjustable suspension on the LX, the LC 200 has the same off road gizmos.
The LX is a luxury vehicle and as soon as a luxury vehicle starts having bumps and scrapes the resale value will plummet.
If you want to add proper bullbars and the likes, you are going to have to cut off that front. Resale value obliterated.
All & all, if you want to go more off road than the most basic flat gravel road, get the LC200. It will be cheaper to buy, better at off roading out of the box and more customization in respect of tires etc.
this landcruiser have a very strong resell value like a 2000 lc 100 in my country the average price is like 50000$ 😂
Petrol all the way. Diesel design for farming
There is no way i would spend this kind of money on a rebadged 200 series when the y62 has the same equipment, more comfortable, better tyres and suspension, and is almost exactly half the price. have driven all 3 lc200 lx570 and y62 and y62 TIL is the clear winner even if it wasnt 79k drive away
That front is butt ugly. Sort of reminds me of a Cylon Centurion in the original Battle Star Galactica.
You cannot compare this to a Range Rover. They're completely different vehicles in entirely separate classes. Chalk and cheese.
