The speed limit should be raised to 130km/h or 140km/h lots of distance to cover in Australia and the highway systems should be able to handle at least on some portions of it the 110 seen on most highways isn’t quite appropriate
I have an LX470. On sand leave the tires inflated. "IF", and its a big IF, you dig in (you will be in VERY soft sand for that to happen) THEN you let the tires down. But before you do that you RAISE the car with the AHC, activate the centre diff lock, do a little digging to get ramps in front of the wheels. Mostly this will get you out. IF that doesn't work. Drop the tire pressures down to 16 psi. We have never not been able to get out of sand using this method.
It's not that great for a diesel on the open road cruising at a constant and relatively moderate speed. Far better than the V8 petrol but some large modern euro diesels are getting 15+ Km/L
I can't understand why you would have not tried the different drive mode settings, even as far as reaching the Gold Coast and you commenting that you're unsure what the said modes would be like??!!
There's a reason Toyotas are the default choice in the Australian outback. That same twin turbo V8 diesel is known to do a million Kms in the Landcruisers used in the mining and farming industries. Opt for a euro SUV at your own peril and cost... that you were trying to save in fuel economy.
If you're able to read, there is plenty more about that in the written reviews linked in the description. Our apologies for wasting 24 minutes of your life.
Very exclusive model, the LX has never been offered in Europe, and in the USA it's petrol / gas only. Impressive raod trip!

Can you make another road trip video using a new prado 2.8 kakadu please
Great video ! how's the sound insulation with the Diesel engine?
Great Video Really Liked it
9.5KM/L is extremely good for a big SUV and V8 the 5.7L gasoline V8 will not do better than 6KM/L even on high ron/octane fuel.
The title is 450d but he keeps referring to it as petrol. Which one is it
@@patu5798 It actually is a 450d. Says so on the back pf the car.

It is one of best review of LX 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼😍❤️⚡
So is it petrol or diesel? Coz I think the d in 450d means diesel......... 🤷🏽♂️
Love it. One day, one day.
Where is mark levension sound system
Good video. Make more road trip tests with other vehicles.
Great review, thank you could do a bit better on the camera work.
i am actually surprised that it did under 11l/100km... my lexus rx350 does 10.9l/100km and that's if i am easy on it...
Diesel typically drink less oil
10.9l/100km holy smoke. Switch to hybrid verison asap
I loved this video so much 👍🏻👍🏻
I believe this is a V8 diesel
nice review

That's what road testing is all about; learning about the car as you go. We only picked it up the day prior to starting the video.
Audi A4 please. Thanks :)
That fuel economy is awful I'd opt for a smaller 6 cylinder diesel like a discovery, gle, x5, or q7.
Evans Cheruiyot and you’d see more of the countryside too 😂
With those you probably wont get back home
