* Important rules I didn't mention:
- If you drop below 2 Influence on a Faction track, you lose the Victory Point.
- If you have an Alliance and drop below 4 Influence, you lose the Alliance and the Victory Point (goes back on the board if no one else has 4 Influence to take it)
- Fremen Bond: On Reveal, if you have any other Fremen cards in play (either from an Agent turn or from also Revealing), trigger the effect.
UPDATE (3/29/2024): Combat Intrigue cards now work as they should.

Thank you for being the only youtuber covering this game's digital version!
Thanks for watching!
I would also like to point out that when you purchase the Digital version, it comes with quite a well designed tutorial. My partner had never played before and she played the tutorial within 20ish minutes and picked up the game so smoothly.
I second that, I never played the physical version and was already ready to read the pdf rulebook to learn how to play, but I didn't have to, the tutorial is incredibly well done and enjoyable to do.
I think I'll take a closer look at it. I wonder if there might be some ideas in there that could be adapted for teaching the game in person.
Awesome information. I watched other "how to play" this game (digital version), but you explained it PERFECTLY!
Thanks so much for sharing.

Thank you! Glad it was helpful for you.
Thank you for this video, you have convinced me to buy the digital version of this great game. Can't wait to see more.
Thanks, glad you liked the video!
Thanks for this video. Not only was it helpful because you explained the mechanics but you spoke about your thought process during gameplay, which I find even more valuable to understand how people think and prioritize their moves...very well done.
Thanks for the thoughtful comment, I appreciate it. Glad the video was helpful!
good luck on the channel. @@bludgeontv
The upper echelon of Bludgeon content. Keep that spice comin!
Thanks SnowToad!
Nice job on video. Clear and concise explanation and play through. Would like to see more digital
Board game play throughs. Everdell, Gloomhaven and Concordia to name a few
Thanks for the nice comment! It's an interesting idea, I may explore that at some point.
This was such a great gameplay! I had no desire to get this game. Now I'm planning my strategy as the game is being downloaded. You're a natural! 😊
Thank you! Let me know how you enjoy it.
Normally I wouldn’t really play card strategy games but the way you explained how to play made it easy to understand and fun to play. I just picked up on my iphone
Very cool! How do you like the game?
Nice going to pick this up now that I’ve seen it played. Looking at the add pictures I was a bit confused
Very nice video to explain what is what. Earned a sub!
Thanks for the kind words, welcome to the channel!
Really enjoyed that! Just got the android version for my tablet and this video helped me understand a great deal more
Nice! How are you enjoying it on the tablet?
@bludgeontv it looks and plays exactly the way it looks on your pc. Very comfortable on the couch or in bed. I've also played on my phone - text is really small but passable. I'm not sure if it's possible to play against others cross platform though?
Thank you for being so awesome at explaining the game. Just bought it on Xbox, looks really fun
Hey thanks! It's not an easy game to teach, so I'm glad you liked it.
Thanks for this video! I've been waiting for one of these from you for awhile now. It has helped me sooo much. Question though, is there any chance you will stream other days besides Sunday? I always just miss the live stream and I wish I could catch of these live.
Hey, thanks I'm glad the video was useful for you! Not sure about other streaming days - I'd like to but it's hard to find the time at the moment.
FANTASTIC!! One of the best "How to Play" videos for a great game. I've tried starting this game multiple times and never finished because it was a little hard for me to pick up the rules.
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you! I bought the digital and physical version because of this video and I have a lot of fun! 🙂
That's great!
ty dude , i learned a lot
Glad to hear that!
thanks for explaining the game!
My pleasure!
Thank you very much for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video! I have enjoyed the digital version in early access so much I just had to purchase it on mobile as well.
Have you tried it out yet? If so how was it. I wanna get it but I wanna make sure it works well first.
@@happydimsum8221 Just finished my first solo challenge. The app works well but the layout is not optimal and some text is painfully small. It is not a problem it you know the cards by heart but it was still quite annoying. When an opponent performs an action it covers some of the influence tracks and is quite annoying as well. You can tell they had to think hard about the layout on a tiny screen. I prefer playing on pc or steam deck, but will occasionally use the mobile app as well since it works out just fine. You can play online, compete in skirmishes and all the other things you can do on the desktop version.
Thanks for posting your thoughts, it does seem like it would be a bit tough on a phone screen.
Just got the game and honestly it works great I agree with the small text but other than that it's very smooth
Great content for a great game.
Thank you!
I wasn't interested in this game because it's hard to see it's depth just by looking at it. Your video taught me I have to buy this game!
Very cool, I hope you enjoy it! Out of curiosity, if you weren't interested in the game, what made you watch the video?
Just downloaded for my fold phone, always wanted to play the boardgame but my friends are not into dune like I am... cannot wait to dive into this!
Cool, does it work well on the phone?
Great so far with the pen too... gonna get into it properly today just did the tutorials @bludgeontv
Thank you!
You bet! Thanks for watching.
Oh wow a 779 subscriber channel with an 11k views video. Congrats!
Thank you!
Just played on mobile it feels really good, new to the game but Im loving it
Great to hear! Are you playing on a phone or a tablet?
@@bludgeontv Im playing on a phone but feels good, the board is not small like on some other games, and i felt no lag st all, really good port
So many people say that this is one of the best boardgames ever. I have to agree. - Allen T
Yeah it's really incredible if you're into this kind of game at all. Also surprisingly thematic considering it's fairly abstract mechanically.
I want to get into this game and some other direwolf games. Is the community active?
The only one I've played online so far is Dune Imperium, where you can usually get a game going in a matter of minutes.
Just got it for mobile yesterday!!!
How are you liking it?
@bludgeontv it's great! The Ai is perfectly balanced and all really well done. I'm mostly playing as Leto but I do occasionally use Rabban. It's a great game. I love it. Your content is really good!!!
How is the multiplayer of the game? Are there any lobbies you can access to quickly? Is the multiplayer smooth enough? What about the quality of the games? ( Leavers, waiting for turns etc)
Multiplayer is done with lobbies, it's never taken me more than a couple minutes to get into a game. Not sure what you mean by smooth, but it works very well. It's fairly common for a player to get replaced by the AI - not every game but it happens. It's a turn-based strategy game, so people need to think sometimes. Max turn time is 90 seconds. If you watch my Live Play videos you should be able to get a sense for how all this stuff goes.
I've commented before... what does the sandworm on the middle desert tile mean again (it has +2 in the same tile)i know you mentioned it somewhere? Also how do you check what your persuasion total is?
Thank you
All three desert spaces have that symbol, it means at the end of the round, if there are no Agents on that space, add 1 Spice there. When someone sends an Agent, they collect the base Spice + whatever has piled up. Check out the start of Round 2 29:18
For Persuasion, if you look at the top-right of the screen there's a little box right above The Spice Must Flow (Sandworm card) - if you hover your cursor over that, it tells you how much Persuasion is currently in your hand. (Note that it doesn't include optional Persuasion like from the card Bene Gesserit Sister).
Thank you for this much appreciated @@bludgeontv
did they fix the pass/play bug with the combat cards?
Yeah they did! The UI of it is still a bit confusing but mechanically it works the way it's supposed to.
Is there a way in digital to prevent there being two leaders from the same faction ? It’s a small thing, but it annoys me to play Paul, for example, and fight Leto
Hi, no there isn't.
do you play any of the expansions on tts?
Nope. I only got into the game relatively recently and wanted to really sink my teeth into the base game before mixing it up with expansions. There's a lot of strategy to explore here and I don't want to skip it. It'll also let me appreciate the expansions more I think when the time comes.
It seems like there's not many ways to get water. Is that the most precious resource?
I suppose it's the hardest to get, since there are only two spaces on the board that provide (1) water and they're not always easy to visit. It's definitely nice to have some because it opens up collecting Spice, drawing cards with Research Station, or going hard into a Conflict with Hardy Warriors.
my biggest gripe with Dune imperium is that for a deckbuilder, 7-8 round games are way to short
it just doesn't have that satisfying deck progression that Insryption or Thronebreaker create
It's definitely different in that way than pure deckbuilders like Dominion. I find it works great in the context of the game as a whole though. Haven't played the ones you mentioned, are they along the lines of Slay the Spire?
insryption is a 3 act deckbuilder with the first act having a similar structure slay the spire in that you progress on a world mapthrough a path of your choice featuring stations that give cards/alter them or fights, the whole thing has a story though (horror vibes, with a creepy dude being your DM on the opposite site of the table)
thronebreaker is a mostly linear map you walk through (isometric view), collect resources, secrets and engage in Dialogue and Combat (where the cards come in), it is heavily story focused campaign where the narrative decisions can get characters killed that then vanish from your deck, you can build cards in your camp whenever you rest and switch in/out cards, the card game is similar to gwent but has way more interaction bewteen the rows and story objectives plus alot of puzzles utilizing the cards with special rules and objectives
would highly recommend both titles to a card gamer, especially since both games on full prize right now are just 19,99 euros,I picked them up on a discount (though I don't know how often they are on discount) for something like 5 euros@@bludgeontv
insryption is definetly the shorter campaign (>10 hrs) whereas thronebreaker has a bigger narrative with more replayability due to exclusive narrative choices and alternative decks you could build (ca. 30hrs I think)
Extremely boring game. Sorry
